Help: Fax doesn't work now !

Hi guys,
Wonder if anyone can throw some light on this?
We just got a new phone system installed at work and apart from now having to dial 9 to get an outside line, things look fine.
At the same time, our office manager has installed a new version of FaxStf (Pro)
Now, after these two "updates" to our system, when we try to send a fax, a window appears which tells us it's "preparing Fax" - and that's where it stays.
I've checked the Driver, and we have "Fax print" in the printer setup pref's, and also I've just tried to re-install the application - but things are still the same!
I've tried repairing permissions, but no changes have occurred.
One note: When I did the install, the FaxStf printer appeared in the listing, but the Apply Button was greyed out - I had no chice but to use the generic Faxprint driver - is this normal?
Any help would be most appreciated.

I'm with K Shaffer on this one the use of a Mac a a fax machine is rare and on the occasions I've done it I use OS X's fax capabilities. Very few people on these boards will have sufficient experience to assist you. Try getting support from Smith Micro.

I have just created this account to tell you that nothing would change if you restored your phone.
The first NO SIM nuisance happened just a week ago. Nothing had been done to the phone before that. I pressed HOME + POWER buttons to restart the phone and SIM card was successfully recognized as if nothing had happened. Then I had a lucky week, not reminded of this issue at all.
Today, however, the same problem keeps annoying me. I've used the same method to heal the phone but all I have done seems more like a placebo. So I tried the ultimate solution, restroing it in iTunes.
Ridicuously, the moment I finished basic setup on the newly restored phone, the same NO SIM CARD INSTALLED message poped up.
So IMO, it's not what you should do to erase and restore your phone.
Plus, I called my native carrier and they said no such problems have been submitted. And since my nano SIM card is quite new (three months old), I'm not going to replace it.
I googled this problem and found something on a Hong Kong webpage. The author of that thread points out that there is a flaw in the SIM card tray that prevents the phone from successfully recognizing SIM cards.
And I really hope Apple could probe into this issue and give official solutions other than restarting / restoring the phone like an idiot.

I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.
Hope Apple fixes this problem soon..............

I am trying the Circuit Design Suite 13.0 and the help system doesn't work at all.
No help from
The main menu Help -> Multisim help F1
In all the dialogs with a Help button. Nothing happen if I click the Help button ?
I use Windows XP SP3 FRENCH and all the installtion went without any problems everything else is working perfectly.
I checked in the install program if I need to install the help system separately and didn't see anything.
Any ideas of what's goint on ?

Are you able to manually open the help file? Go to C:\Porgram files\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 13, the Multisim.chm file is the help file, double click on it and see if it will launch. If you the file opens and nothing is displayed, google 'unable to open .chm" file, there are lots of instructions how to fix it, here is an example:

Make sure the silent switch is not set to mute. If you can see the red dot, it is on mute.
It may think you have headphones plugged in, try plugging and unplugging a wired headset a few time.
The next step would be to restore as new.
If none of that works, a warranty exchange would be the resolution.

sp2, some of the part doesn't work propertly any more.
1. netui:select seems not bind form data propertly. For drop down list box in
forms, although user has chosen something from the drop down list box, the returned
value in the form is always null.
2. we use Java script window.open(url,...) to download and view files. After upgrade
from sp1 to sp2, clients keep getting IE error complaining that "Internet Explore
can not open this Internet site. The request site is either unavailable or can
not be found. Please try again later", although the server and the files are all
in local host server.

Did you update your workshop application files and recompile your application?
A few things changed between GA and sp2, some annotations were renamed, and some
were added.
If you open up your application in Workshop sp2, it should given you the option
to upgrade your application.
Failing that, you may need to go through the code that is not performing as it
was before and check whether it was not utilising a bug that was fixed in sp2
and thus causes it to not function correctly now.

FAX doesn't working through SIP

Hello.
Fax Machine is connected to SPA 122. Cisco CUCME is used. SPA 122 doesn't support SCCP (only SIP). Fax machine works as ordinary telephone device, but doesn't work as fax machine. What is a problem?

I understand that you are able to print, but you can't send a fax. I would like to help you.
Can you make a copy from the glass and ADF?
Print out a Fax test.
Touch the setup button, (wrench)
arrow to Service menu, press OK, then right arrow to fax service, OK, then run fax test.
You should have 4 passes if everything is communicating properly.
We need to check some settings on the printer for faxing.
Private receive:
On the printer touch the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax setup menu, OK, fax receive setup, OK, private receive, OK, turn it off.
Error correction:
Go to the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax setup, all faxes, error correction, OK, turn it off.
Speed:
Go to the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax setup, OK, all faxes, OK, fax speed, OK, change it to medium, OK.
Clear saved faxes:
Go to the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax functions menu, clear saved faxes, OK, OK to clear.
Try to send a fax again.
If you are still having issues then go through the steps to see if it will resolve this issue.
Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.

What type of connection do you have? (Analogue, DSL, Cable Modem)
Are you using the 2 wire phone cable?
Do you have distinctive ring set up?
Is there any voice mail set up?
Do you have a answering machine?

Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
Is there a phone also connected the printer?

Kdelibs-noarts -- help please, doesn't work [solved]

I'm a xfce user and just want amarok and sometimes k3b and k9copy from kde. I don't want any konqueror, kwrite, arts or any other bloated stuff in my machine. So, i modified the kdelibs PKGBUILD to suit my needs -without arts nor avahi dependency/support.
It builds and runs fine, but when restarting my system (or installing it without having official kdelibs package previously installed) i have no symlinks to the bins. I also have no menu items for kde-apps. If i try to run amarok (for example) from terminal giving the whole address (/opt/kde/bin/amarokapp) it runs ok giving no error, so i guess the problem is just that my kdelibs pkg isn't making the appropriate symlinks during boot?

I fixed it. The problem was so stupid, i forgot to add kde-common as dependency... however, it is working now. I cleaned the PKGBUILD a little and uploaded it to AUR.

HP windows 8.1 fax doesn't work

Hi everyone and HP expert,
I want to use HP computer as a fax machine, it'll be very easy to receive and sent fax from pc and also it's easy to keep all files. The most important is it will save envirement, no more Fax machine and less paper.
But, HP windows 8.1 fax function doesn't work.
I could sent fax out from pc but can NOT receive fax.
I could see fax caming ringing, but could NOT get it.
It's a windows 8.1 problem, it also happen on windows8 and windows server 2012.
Does HP expert have any resolution to fix it? I want PC works as a Fax machine.

Smart value help autocomplete doesn't work

Hello,
We are using CRM 7.0. We want to provide an autocomplete option for some customer input field.
We decided to implement it with smart value help (F4) functionality. This customer field belongs to the customer Z view.
When we use this Z view in the Z component, autocomplete wotks fine but when we use it in the standard component, F4 popup help works but autocomplete (smart value help) doesn't work.
We would appreciate any help on this issue.
