Help files of CS5 in PDF versions

Hi,
I'm looking for the Help files in "PDF" versions for Creative Suite in French and not the "HTML". The technician at my school does not no where to get them. Is there anybody who can help me with that?
It doesn't seem's to be on the Adobe's Web Site anymore?
Todd Korpiva has posted some for the Englsih versions:
http://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/2010/08/help-documents-for-creative-suite-5-pdf -and-html.html
He also made some links available in other languages to such as:
http://blogs.adobe.com/toddkopriva/2010/07/getting-started-and-help-support-pages-for-othe r-cs5-applications.html#comment-4333
Unfortunately, there is no "PDF" versions on this page in French but just the HTML.
Thanking you in advance for you help and looking forward to read you,

You can find the PDFs for CS5 and other earlier versions by going to the Previous Versions pages for a product.  Here are direct links to some of the pages:
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/photoshop/archive.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/indesign/archive.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/illustrator/archive.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/after-effects/archive.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/dreamweaver/archive.html
http://helpx.adobe.com/fr/premiere-pro/archive.html
UPDATE (8/16) There isn't an archive page for Acrobat because you can access  PDF files right from the online help.  Here's the link to the latest Acrobat Help in French.  Click the PDF link on the top right of the page to download a PDF file.
http://help.adobe.com/fr_FR/acrobat/standard/using/index.html
By the way, I noticed that some of these French pages were missing (Flash and Fireworks) so I'll make sure they get sorted.

  • Where can I find PDF Help files for CS5?

I have CS5 Design Standard ( without extended Photoshop) and I need to get the PDF help files for the component applications.  I have tried entering CS5 Help Files and variations of that theme in the search box here at Adobe forums  and get many things about CS6 and no Help files for CS5. The search tool here should be googleized or something.  2many adds for new things 2 buy not enough help for what you already bought.

    Hi,
Here's another link for Ps CS5 PDF help:

And for Creative Suite with links to the CS5 point products:

  • Could not open Help File 'Aperture User Manual.PDF'

I downloaded the trial version, while waiting for my boxed version of Aperture to arrive. Once it came in, I entered the serial number and continued using the original application. However, when I try to access the user manual via Help, I get an Alert saying, "Could not open Help File 'Aperture User Manual.PDF'". I manually copied the PDF file from the CD to the documents folder, and then from there to the Applications folder - nothing makes a difference. I even reinstalled - same results. I have tried some of the other items in Help -- if it is for a manual, I get the same Alert.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Russ

The files are all there. When I checked their properties, I noticed that the PDF files didn't point to adobe acrobat reader!
Before uninstalling Aperture and then reinstalling it, I tried to reinstall the latest version of Acrobat Reader. Suddenly, I could access the Aperture documents!
I am using a new iMac -- apparently, when I transfered all of my files from my old G5 iMac, Acrobat hadn't properly transfered. Reinstalling Adoe solved the problem!
    Thanks for the help!

  • Local help files for CS5 products (Illustrator in particular)

I have read through the discussions, but I want to find a SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD way to set up my CS5 programs to access help files locally, rather than through the web.
    - I have found .PDF help files online, but there is no apparent way to link them to the program, and it did not come up as an option during installation.  References to setting up a help-related .XML file neglect the fact that, at least in my installation, the .XML does not exist, so I suspect the program does not point to it ...
Any helpful comments, including knowledge that I cannot access local help from within the program and should stop looking, would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

Hello, your machine is not connected to the net? Usually, it is best to download the help after install, then disconnect from the net, but I understand that there are some machines that cannot be connected at any moment.

  • Help file for CS5 not available on Win 7 64bit

    Hi,
I try to display the help file from within PS CS5 and that is not working. I can neither watch the community help online nor download it for offline use since the app seems unable to connect to a working online source.
It shows "The requested URL /de_DE/Photoshop/cs/using/AH_HOME.html was not found on this server."
All apss have been updated to the newest release, everything else is working fine.
I use Win 7 64bit German, PS is also installed in German.
    Any ideas?
Using a browser the help content is reached via URL http://help.adobe.com/de_DE/photoshop/cs/using/index.html
Maybe the software is looking for AH_HOME.html in error instead of index.html.

    Hallo Beholder (und hfuhr)
(wir sprechen ja alle deutsch ... ;-)
Ich habe nun beschlossen, "not to waste my time".

  • Where are the help files? (CS5)

I am studying CS5 but I can't find help files or tutorials... is everything  online now?
Where should I go for help?

I don't have CS5, but hopefully they still have a somewhat obvious "Help" option in the top menu bar.  You can also probably find them by searching Google using "Flash CS5 Help"  As of CS4, the help documentation is not provided with the software.

  • ACR not allowing me to open Raw Files on CS5 Extended Disc version.

Bought a new 21" Mac desktop 10.9.5 OS and Installed the Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended CD successfully. But when I tried to open my Raw files I get the message below.
    What can I do?
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.
Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information"
Had no problem with this on my previous laptop.
    Thanks, Grace.

    Thanks Ssprengel,
    Works now!
Wish I had that list of cameras and software compatibility you sent me link of earlier. Originally did the updates to Photoshop straight after installation and downloaded the update for ACR which was what was giving me all the problems. It didn't seem to have any compatibility with my camera. Funny...you would think when you click the update software on Mac it would be automatically compatible with current version. Real nuisance that Adobe has stopped providing support for older versions. Just wasted a heap of download on "update all" only to find out the message after it was all downloaded that there was an error with installation and to click on the "support link" only to discover that when you do click on it...you find out there is no more updates or support. Great customer service....after spending over a $1000 on software.
    Kind regards, Grace.

  • Why is the colour in AI files different to the PDF version?

Whenever I save my AI files to PDF format, the colour is very different. Can someone tell me why?  Both screenshots are CMYK below.
AI on left and PDF on right.

Yes, both are CMYK 8bit and screen grabs below of settings.

  • Cannot find CS6 offline help file

    Hi,
When I try to opne the Dreamweaver CS6 help file by clicking on help in the help menu or F1 Dreamweaver opens the site http://helpx.adobe.com/de/dreamweaver/topics.html but not the offline help file. I can see that the Adobe help applcation gets started but it terminates after a few seconds. How can I open the offline CS6 help file? Why idoes Adobe help application terminates after a few seconds? Thank you for your help.
    Regards

The answer above is not quite what the first post asked.
In many parts of CS6 - like setting up a site for instance, there is a help button that does not work if you are offline. Local internet services in my part of the world are rubbish at best and hopeless at worst, so it is not always possible to get on line help. This does not help the working day at all.
I have an installation of CS5.5 and when I click on a help link within the program, it finds my offline help files and displays the correct help for the topic.
I just installed CS6 for the first time on a new PC expecting the same. There appears to be no offline help available, nor can I see any way to install it.
After a major search operation on the adobe website, I did find two pdf help files for CS5, one of which has some help for CS6, but not a lot, and another that contains the same help  + 20 or so pages for the creative cloud version, which is of no use to me. For a program that cost a vast amount to purchase, removing the built in help is not what I expected, though I am not at all surprised.
So is there a way to set up offline help without having the pdf file always open just in case? Or are we stuck with a no help system?

  • Compile Errors when Generating Conditional Tag Help File

Ok, here is a recap of everything I have done. I started over from scratch. Unzipped the Help File into C:\Users\edwinwood\Documents\My RoboHelp Projects\Adobe RoboHelp 9 folder. Went to the properties SSOL Help Development folder and unchecked read only. Opened RoboHelp 9 as an administrator, went to File->Open and opened the help file. The first thing that pops up is a message stating this is a help file made with an older version of RoboHelp(v8) and must be upgraded(v9). I hit ok. The next pop-up is this “Unable to connect to the project $/SSOL HelpDevelopment@:ROBOSOURCE in version control. Would you like to browse for it?” I hit yes and the next pop-up just asks do you want to discontinue connection attempts in the future. I hit no. After that is usually where the files that are write protected pop-up but they didn’t this time. After about 5 minutes It will say upgrade complete. I shut down RoboHelp go into the language folder copy the robohhre.lng and paste it into the root folder. Like I said this file has nothing in it.  I reopen RoboHelp as an administrator and open the project again. I then go to View->Pods->Single Source Layouts. Double click the Tag1 Remove Hickory Tech and then click save and generate. At the very end of the compile process I still get Template Errors...

  • Cannot open Nikon 1V2 Raw files in CS5

    Hello!
I cannot open Nikon 1V2 Raw files in CS5
Camera Raw Version is 5.0.0.178, PS CS5 Version 11.0.2
Anyone have a suggestion that does not involve upgrading to a newer version of Photoshop?
    Thanks!
    Kelly

Does this mean that I can't get Camera Raw 7.3 with Photoshop CS5?
    Naturally.
Photoshop CS5 does not use ACR 7.
I did read about using the free DNG Converter but that seems like an extra step I would prefer to avoid if possible.
Either upgrade Photoshop or use another means to process the RAW files, and cost-wise DNG Converter can hardly be beat.

  • How to install BPC help file

Can somebody point me in the right direction for installing the SAP help files for BPC.   I have installed BPC, it's configured and working, but a user says there's supposed to be help file and I can't find anything about them in the installations and master guide.

As indicated above, help files do exist in MS version within the application.  Perhaps you're inquiring the NW version which does not have the help file within the application.  In that case, you need to go to help.sap.com and find the BPC help file for NW.
    The right navigation would be
help.sap.com->SAP Business Objects->Business Planning and Consolidation->SAP BPC 7.0 version for SAP NetWeaver.
You will also find the help file for other versions here as well.

  • Does LR2 Include a "Real" help file?

I am woriking with the trial versionof LR2, and one of the problems is that there seems to be no resident version of a help file.
Two problems with this. First, getting bounced to a Q&A forum is a VERY inefficient way to answer my routine questions. Second, my main photoediting computer is not connected routinely to the internet--So in effect I have no help file at all.
Am I missing something really simple? Is this an issue related only to the trial version, i.e. will I get a real help file when I complete a purchase? Or is this sorry state of affairs something I'll have to live with if I stay with LR2?

    > Well, I can understand you desire to keep you work computer off
    > the internet. However, the fact remains that help is going
    > online like it or not. I seriously doubt that most people
    > would not by a product just because of that. And, as I said
    > it does allow Adobe to keep it updated which to me is just
    > as important. I don't think a help fill that refers to Lightroom
    > 1.0 is very helpful for those using 1.4. Having update to help
    > even via online in my book is a good thing.
Say what? A help file doesn't change (significantly) during the life of a product. When I download version 1.4.1 I expect a properly documented program to include a proper help file. When I download Version 2.0 it should come with a NEW help file that is good (with hopefully minor corrections) until version 2.1, etc.
If software is being properly designed, specified, and documented, you should be able to write 99.8% of the help file even before the coding is complete. There is no excuse for shortcutting the help file other than not employing enough technical writers.
I am used to Microsoft saying "If you don't like it, lump it", but it is a new experience from Adobe.
Even the online help is pretty lame. No wonder it is "expected" that I have to go to a discussion forum to get real answers. This might be hard for the techno-geeks to understnad, but I don't want to join an online community, I JUST want a photoediting program!
