Help! Files say published but changes don't show?!?

I have been battling with this issue for the last week now. Click on the link Senior Portraits - Click on Senior Gallery - all you will see is a "return to menu" link. The photographs do not show. In my iweb application the photos show on the page. The page is correctly hyperlinked. I have deleted and recreated the page several times and relinked the hyperlink to the new page. I have no idea what else I can do to make this work. HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!

Ok, so when I looked at the file itself on my desktop I thought the images were there. I did not know I could view the webpage from my desktop. When I viewed the webpage the pictures are not there.
I am publishing to a mobile me server I think. However, I'm not sure. I am using go daddy just for the domain name.
When I do the command option a under the "commercial section" I get the following - I have absolutely no clue what this means. All I know is that my photos aren't there.

I thought this was supposed to be an easy way to have a website but it's starting to be a real pain. Any and all help that I can get to get this fixed will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!

I thought I resolved it, but the problem came back! And this time, re-starting Muse didn't help.
I was creating a vertical line to separate the sidebar from the main area, and when I extended the line down to where the footer guide is, the page started to expand and the navigation bar at the top started growing, while the links disappeared again. Now all links from the master page are again missing from every page but the master.
When I undid it, the navbar went back to its normal depth, but the text links in it did not return.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Also, it really wasn't my intention for the navigation bar to grow vertically as the page grows. Is there a way to prevent that?

(LR 2.2, Leopard latest version.)
This has happened a few times now but I'm afraid I can't pinpoint what causes it. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
I will go to a folder and turn off all search filters and expand all stacks.
The list near in the filmstrip states (for example)...
"64 of 69 photos"
There is no reason for the file(s) to be hidden. They are there in the folder (viewable in finder), and the only way to fix it is to save xmp's to retain my changes. Then remove and re import the folder (sync folder doesn't have an effect).
LR is definitely registering the file as forcing a reimport of the .NEF gives an "already exists" error.
The only clue I can give to cause is I *think* it only happened in folders with stacks (all of which as I said were expanded) and perhaps in folders I moved images from folder to folder (within lightroom).
Perhaps it is when I move the .tif and the .nef it is stacked too at the same time etc.... but it seems to pick files at random.
There's every chance I am missing something, but I don't think so.
Any help appreciated. I have logged the bug with Adobe.

Are the missing files visible in the Grid View? That is, if it says "64 of 69 photos", do you actually count 69 (or 64) of them in the grid?
If you only find 64 there, then you'll have a handle on what's going on because you'll know what files aren't showing up. If you find all 69, you have a good right to feel mystified. :)

Files render, but adjustments don't show when exported or printed

Hello all,
Running Lightroom 2.2 on Mac OS 10.4
I'm experiencing some very odd behavior from a few files (originally NEFs converted to DNG; all from the same shoot/card). I am able to render adjustments in the Develop module but then two very odd things happen.
First, when I zoom to 1:1 preview the rendered changes do not appear; the file reverts to it's original state.
Secondly, and most importantly, when I export the files as a jpeg (whether from the Library, Develop, or Print module) the rendered changes do not appear and the file reverts to its original state. Again, same issue if I try to print the file -- the adjustments don't come through.
To further the mystery, this is only happening to a few files and I am able to manipulate the others and export them just fine. FURTHERMORE, when I open the same files on another computer that's running LR 1.4, I am able to edit and render the files AND see the changes upon export.
Any ideas?

Duplicate the files in another folder, import them with 'do not import
duplicates' turned off in the import dialog, or import them into a
'test' catalog and see if they'll work. That'll narrow down whether
it's possibly a catalog glitch, and therefore how to solve it.

Flash CS4 Help File Offline What Happened to Tag Defintions Showing UP?????

Ok I know I can set the help system to browse offline however
this doesn't work correctly for any less then ActionScript 3. When
you highlighted a word in the past such as "null" it use to pull up
the word and the info in all the books. Now all I see is a web
browser that doesn't do this for me. I mean who sits there at
adobe's end and thinks up of ways to slow someone down like this??
How can you remove the core help quick linking from the program.
Number 1 not everyone is on AS3 and some of us still have to update
AS2 code.
Bigspace ships has an air application that installed AS3 flex
reference but again useless unless you are on AS3. Has anyone found
another way to get this old school functionality to work on
CS4???

the Flash docs.
Regarding this comment and the many others in other threads
that have added important details about the issues with the help
workflow, and in particular the ActionScript help workflow: We hear
your pain and we are working to implement solutions to these
issues.
I understand that this new help workflow is more painful than
in CS3 when you had the Help right in its own panel in the product.
Here’s some background:
The implementation of Help within the Flash Help panel prior
to CS4 required that *all* the Help files be installed on the local
drive with the product, resulting in some issues that we tried to
address in CS4. Including Help on the installation disc caused
issues including:
- Required that Help be completed much earlier for
localization and end-game testing.
- Resulted in static Help files that had been completed early
in the development cycle, sometimes not accounting for last minute
UI or other changes.
- A long install process.
- Crowded the installation disc.
These aren't meant to be full explanations of why we made the
changes, but just some background as to some of the things we were
thinking about. Clearly the decisions we came to weren't the right
ones for many users. We are intent on making things better.
Moving Help online makes it possible to update Help on an
ongoing basis, allows users to comment on and embellish the Help,
and allows us to add links from the help out to new articles,
tutorials, videos, and code samples on adobe.com and throughout the
Flash web community. One of you rightly pointed out that the Adobe
Updater could have been used for some of this, but I believe that
the updater would have required much more rigorous certification by
us of any update packages and the update/install process for each.
We actually are updating the online help files very frequently, so
this process would have been a major barrier to these updates.
We’ve had a struggle about how to deliver the Flash
Help for a long time, as we have a lot of users who have been quite
vocal about not liking the Help panel consuming space within the
Flash window as well as users who really want it there so they
don’t have to leave the IDE.
Having said all that, I still totally understand what
you’re saying about losing your code, glance, code, glance,
code workflow. As you probably know, we’ve been getting a lot
of feedback about this, along with other issues that online Help
has caused. We are actively looking at ways of solving these, but
the Help-in-a-browser issue a difficult problem, as this aspect of
the Help implementation is baked fairly deep into the CS4 product.
Since CS4 shipped, we have implemented solutions to some of the
issues with Help raised by users, such as allowing you to select
the default destination of F1 (though Flash CS4 always went to the
actual Help system rather than the Flash Help and Support page,
which is what these users wanted in other products). I just
don’t know if there will be a solution in the CS4 time frame
for viewing Help within Flash itself. As noted in this thread,
there are a few independent developers working on non-browser help
viewers, such as Jamie Kosoy, Technical Director at Big Spaceship,
whose AIR application for the CS4 Language Reference docs is
available at

We knew that people use the AS3 Language Reference a lot, so
we did install a local, abridged version of that with the product.
You only see it when not connected to the internet or if you
disable online connections as described earlier in this thread, and

interface as the online version. You can also download a local copy
of the AS Reference, which does get updated periodically and can be
viewed locally regardless of the state of your internet connection,
but it also is all html and opens in a web browser. As previously

I know this thread started off with AS2 concerns, and we hear
those too.
In some of the other threads out there about the Help, people
have raised issues about the contents navigation in the CS4 version
of the ASLR as well. We are listening to all these issues and
actively working on solutions that will address these questions.
We’d really like to give you better control over whether you
see online or local content, whether you see it inside the IDE or
in a separate application, etc.
I know that you are all really frustrated at some of these
help changes, and so I want to say how much we appreciate your
feedback. I’m sorry that my reply doesn’t give you the
magic bullet that you are understandably hoping for.

I can use IE to see my backup files at Carbonite but Firefox doesn't show them. I talked with carbonite and we found it worked on everything accept firefox.

After creating a Carbonite back up account I was able to get my files displayed in their view files window. But now they don't display. After checking to see if the files show up on IE they do. So something has changed in Firefox. I tried starting firefox in safe mode but that didn't help either.
I don't know what to do. I have a lot of problems all the time with firefox and I am about to give up on it. I even removed and reinstalled it twice but it still does not work.

Sounds to me like you might have disk directory problems. Try using disk utility to repair the disk (use repair instead of verify - just in case). If not, you might want to buy and try diskwarrior.
Have you tried rebooting? If not, try that first.
Also, try "right clicking" (or control-clicking) on a song, and select show in finder from the drop down menu - is the file where you think it should be?

Adobe Muse with Edge Animate components plays great on the Mac but images don't show in Windows. Any suggestions?

You're in luck! We just added in a feature to the latest version of Edge Animate CC (3.0) to enable the CDN option for OAM publish (what we call the "Animate Deployment Package"). This means that your Animate compositions can now references jQuery and the Animate runtime from the network instead of from the project directory. (Please note that this will only make sense for Dreamweaver and Muse integration with OAM and won't make sense for InDesign.)
To turn this on, launch Animate and go to File > Publish Settings. Then select the Animate Deployment Package on the left and click "Host runtime files on Adobe CDN." Save and publish, and you should be good to go.

Folio changes don't show up in the app

Hi.
We have two folios in two different apps on which our changes don't reach the app.
If we update the folio, there is no "Update" button.
If we unpublish it, it stays in the app.
If we republish it with new content under a new product ID, the old folio can still be downloaded but the new one cannot.
Other folios in the same app are working as expected.
Sounds like a problem with the publishing servers. Can anyone confirm that?
Or is it something else? If so, how can it be solved?

Call enterprise support and ask them to look into it. It's rare, but sometimes there is a weird state a folio can get into, and this might be one of those cases.

This could be a result of Automatic Downloads not being enabled, the apps were too large to download via the cellular data network or a cellular data connection was not available at the time of download. The best option would be to download the missing apps via the steps in the second article below.

HT1386 I BOUGHT RINGTONES ON MY IPAD BUT THEY DON'T SHOW UP ON MY IPHONE. DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM ON BOTH DEVICES?

I recently bought ringtones from my ipad thinking that they would also be on my iphone. They are not showing up, do i have to purchase them on both devices?

Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > they should appear in the list.
If they don't show, try syncing your iPhone with your PC and then see if they appear.

After publishing (using iWeb) content looks fine, but pagenames don't show!

Pagenames/buttons like Home, Contact and all are not visible when opening site from server (see www.unitedsigns.nl). On my mac everything is fine. I published it to a usb-stick, and fine too. But on a windows laptop it is not.
I've done it many times before (see www.unitedtextile.nl) (and see buttons on top) and never had such problems. Did not get help from provider.

The reason that the navbar for your www.unitedsigns.nl site isn't being display is because not all of the necessary file are getting uploaded to the server. Open the Activity window (CommandOptionA) for that site (in Safari) you'll see that a number of files in the Scripts folder are missing.
How are you uploading the files to the server? If it's with iWeb's built in FTP client try the following:
1- publish you site to a folder on your HD.

2 - download and use Cyberduck to upload the site folder to the server.
To fix just his problem at this time you can use Cyberduck to upload just the Scripts folder for the site. If you have problems with uploading from iWeb at a later date then you can use CD routinely to upload the site's files as described in the tutorial.
More on this can be found in this tutorial: #2 - Uploading only those published new or newly edited files when using a 3rd party FTP client.
Many users have found switching to Cyberduck fixed their uploading problem. Worth a try.

Add family members? I clicked the add family and verified but they don't show up in the family members. Help?

I added a email address for a family member, it says they are verified but then I go to see if they were add to family and they are not there. What do I need to do?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Itunes says it has downloaded my apps but they don't show on my screen

My daughter and I each have an ipod touch--hers is downloading apps but mine is not. It says it is doing it when I plug it into the computer (I have opted to manually sync items since we share an itunes library) but the apps are not on my ipod.

I have realized what is probably the root of the problem. When I saved my photos on to my PC I transferred them using the 'cut' method. So they do not appear on the phone. But the phone still seems to have them saved somehow, but I cannot access them.

Can't download photoshop and dreamweaver in cloud. Says Installed, but I don't have it

So a while ago I was using the trial version of photoshop and dreamweaver. I decided to pay for cloud to access these programs but I uninstalled the programs first. Now when I click the download I can't install either one because it says installed next to the image.
I had asked someone on the website through the chat if I would have this exact problem and they told me so long as I purchased the product i would not have the issue. I didn't want to purchase if I was going to have the problem, but I'm having it
I needed this program tonight so I'm considering just cancelling

I would first double-check that you actually uninstalled them, usually the Adobe Application Manager checks the system to see what is currently installed, if Photoshop and Dreamweaver didn't actually get uninstalled that would explain what you are seeing.
Don't uninstall, rather check if these products are listed here
on Mac OS
1. Double-click your hard drive.
2. Go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
on Windows
1. Click Start > Control Panel.
2. Click Programs and Features.
If they didn't actually get uninstalled you should be able to convert the existing installations to be included as part of your Creative Cloud Membership using this workflow
