Help Find Screen Protector (In Store Pl0x)

Hi, it's me again. I'm having trouble finding a screen protector. I got one at the apple store with the iPod Touch 4G, but it was for the 2G version, and didn't have the hole for the camera and didn't fit right. My sister got me one at wal-mart today, for iPod touch 4G, but it doesn't have a hole for camera, and it's the matte one.
My friend said the matte ones suck, they make the image quality horrible. So, I put it on, like an idiot, and yes, I hate it, and it makes it look bad. He said get the glossy screen protector. I can't find a glossy one for 4G, anyone know of one? Also, does it have a hole in it for the camera? This current one makes it all blurry without the hole .

Try Best Buy and Amazon. They have several brands.
I haven't found one that sticks completely to the screen, although I've followed the instructions including the cleaning process.
I'm looking for a wrap around case. The only ones I can find have a belt clip which makes it too bulky for my purse. I've opted for the shell type case that just covers the back and edges and also use the screen protector that keeps coming undone at the edges. And they do show lots of fingerprints.

  • Help putting screen protector on

does any1 have any tips on not getting air bubbles when putting a screen cover on?

The best way is to avoid them.
This might sound dumb, but it works, and now I have to do this for my coworkers and friends.
Go into the bathroom after someone has taken a nice, hot shower.
The steam cuts static, and keeps dust down.
    WASH your hands first.
Clean the screen with a dark cloth - I use old BLACK t-shirts, cut into squares.
Use Windex or the like - the screen is glass, it won't hurt it.
Then, keep the protector on the plastic and peel back ONE end only - just enough to align it to the appropriate end of the iPod/iPhone.
Peel it back as you roll the protector over the glass.
Go slowly - this is how to AVOID the bubbles.
Once you get them, it's basically over - it will never look good.
If you've already blown it, you'll have to try again with a new one.
It's not cheap, so you gotta be careful.
    Good luck,
    Scott

  • Do you use a screen protector? for powerbook.

Do you use a screen protector for your powerbooks? if so, what do you use?

No, I thought about it and decided that a screen protector was not something I needed. The reasons:
    * Key marks are generally finger oils, not physical scratches, and are therefore not permanent and can be removed using a damp cloth and gentle pressure. I have had my PowerBook for 2 years and this has held true. Various parts of my PowerBook have deteriorated far faster than the screen.
    * I didn't want to have this additional thing to have to remove after opening the lid and to replace before closing the lid. To me that's annoying and complicates the experience. I love being able to get going as soon as I open the lid.
    * I transport the PowerBook in such a way to avoid having other items in the bag compress the lid to the keyboard. If you carry a PowerBook in a backpack with 3 classes worth of textbooks and give the bag a hard landing on the library table with the PowerBook on the bottom, well, you might make some permanent marks that way.
    * When thinking about all the things I might want/need to buy with the amount of money the screen protector would cost, I decided the screen protector was way far down on the list.
Nothing personal to those who find screen protectors useful, but that's the reasoning I arrived at. My opinion is that screen protectors are one of the many accessories that profit from unfounded consumer anxieties.

  • Screen Protectors

On my Original iPhone, I had this brand of screen protector: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TS504LL/B?fnode=MTY1NDA0NA&mco=MTA4Mzk0ODM from the Apple store. I never once had to change it or remove it. It is still going strong over two years later.
For my iPhone 4, I ended up getting a Zagg Invisible Shield and it lasted less than a MONTH - now they tell me it qualifies for replacement, but I have to pay shipping and return my old one. It's barely been a month. If it lasted six months, sure, but one? I don't think it's worth paying the shipping.
I'm tempted to just get the one I linked and modify it for the 4G but I thought I'd ask on here to see what other people have purchased. I'm not crazy about the ones from AT&T either, but that might be what I try next (Hubby got one of those for his 3G and it only lasted about 3 months).

I posted this on another thread - for the front of the phone, the invisishield stinks. It's a complete waste of money. It discolors after a few weeks. For the back of the phone it's great because it's very thick and you never look at the back of the phone. But I don't think they sell the back only.
I had the powersupport anti-glare for my 3GS and liked it, but I tried a frogz anti-glare on the 4 and hated the dullness it gave to the screen. I fear any anti-glare will defeat the sharpness and vibrancy of the retina display, so I'm going to try the powersupport crystal display (assuming they make it).
I'd avoid invisishield like the plague. And their warranty is a joke. What do you use as a screen protector while your old one is being sent back because it's a piece of junk?

  • Does an ipad need a screen protector

does the ipad mini need a screen protector or is it tough enough to withstand scratching?

I use Apple's Smart Cover instead of a screen protector.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD310LL/A/ipad-smart-cover-polyurethane-blue
10 bucks more would get you a Smart Case, which also protects the aluminum back of the iPad.

  • Help me find a good screen protector!!

hi all,i need some help with the screen protectors.can you suugest me a good scrren protector, except of power support, for iphone 3gs??i do not want power support ,cause here in greece i cannot find them.but i like the style of power support film.so,can you suggest me some good film screen protectors??i have seen the digifocus .are they good?

The phone doesn't need a screen protector, and if you put one on you defeat the oleophobic coating. Just get a good case and don't carry it with the screen exposed in your pocket. My original 2G phone had a perfect screen after more than 2 years when I traded it in.

  • My actual (brand new) iPad screen appears to have bubbles after on it after I removed a screen protector. HELP

    Can someone help:
I bought a new iPad from the Apple Store in Danbury CT the day before yesterday (it's a Verizon iPad). I bought a screen protector for it today and after deciding to remove it, was left with bubbles on the actual screen itself.
    Any thoughts.....Thanks.

I just really find it hard to believe that the screen itself has bubbles in to, but we can't see the device. Why don't you take it to an Apple Store and have a genius look at it? Or take it back to Verizon, since they put the screen protector on it.
Is the touch screen responsive ... It works OK?

  • I am having the hardest time with the screen protectors! HELP ME|!

So I bought the Anti-Glare screen protector from the Apple Store fir my iPhone. The first time I out it on, it looked good, but when I really looked at it, it was crooked around the Home button which looked really stupid, so I took it off with some tape and repositioned the protector, but yet again, can not get it straight, but worse of all, because my house is filled with flying dust, the back of the protector is filled with dust and lint and smudges, so now I cannot use the first one, so i open the other and what happens? THE SAME THING!!! So I have 2 questions.
    1. What am I doing wrong, what is the best way to put these on? Should I take the protector off just a bit and place it on the phone and then let it fall into place? Or take it off completely and then place it and hope I get it straight the first time?
    2. I am going to buy some new protectors (Same brand and everything), but I am wondering, would the Apple store give me an exchange despite the fact I did this to the protectors? Has anyone done that before?
    Thanks!

It took me THREE OF THE THINGS before I get one of them on -- luckily, once on, it has never had to come off, and that has been since July.
I ended up putting a small piece of scotch tape at the bottom right corner, which helps you lift it up and reposition without having to lift it too far that desk lint and things get on it again.
I actually got so fed up after the first two, when I went back to get the second package of them (since there are only two of them per pack) that the "Genius" assisting me said he was a pro and would put it on for me. After the "Genius" had himself used up two of the protectors and it still looked awful, he just gave me another pack and wished me well.
The third one was the charm though, and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Before taking it in to the Apple Store... Try this...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

Blank screen in itunes store-please help im not very technical and when i click on my itunes app the screen is blank how can i fix this please?

See if any of the following fix it.
Try logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'Sign Out' on the popup and then log back in.
If that doesn't fix it then try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's multitasking bar and see if it works properly when you open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag iTunes from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and the click the home button to close the taskbar.
A third thing to try is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

How can I get help finding a specific textbook to purchase in the iBook store?

Is there some reason you cannot provide the exact title here as was  requested?
If the book is not in the Apple store, you will have to get it from another one, such as Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Google, Sony.  Each of them has apps to read the books  you get from them.

When it gets bad enough, you will need to replace the screen.
Your warranty covers defects in material and workmanship.
That sounds like accidental damage -- glass does not tend to crack spontaneously.
Check your homeowners insurance to see if there might be coverage.
