Help finding plug in presets folder....

I installed a au lfo plug in earlier and every time I open it it says missing presets folder.
Im not sure where to put the presets folder that I have for it though....Do you guys know the path for that?

No idea, but apparently yesterday's 10.6.2 update fixes several issues in relation to Adobe apps, so definitely run it and then re-install everything, making good use of the CS3 and CS4 Clean Utility, respectively. The only thing I could imagine is something to do with teh install order and what other Adobe products you may be trying to install, but you have to provide more info about your exact procedures to figure that out....

  • Trying to install presets but can't find presets folder

I just upgraded to Lion AND purchased Lightroom 4. I'm trying to install a set of presets by going to lightroom preferences, presets and clicking on the "show lightroom presets folder" but when I click the button nothing happens at all. In fact, I can't click on any buttons in the preferences menu or click on the tabs at the top or anything. I tried to search for the folder on my computer but nothing came up either. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong or if there's something wrong with the way lightroom is installed on my computer?
    Thanks

I dont think that you need to reinstall.  Apparently, Mountain Lion hides the Library folder.  It appears when you look at the main HDD, but when you click on users and then your main account it is hidden and this is where the presets are.  Here is a link to help reveal the library folder.
    http://mac.tutsplus.com/tutorials/productivity/how-to-reveal-your-library-folder-in-lion-o r-mountain-lion/
Once you have the library revealed you should be able to find the presets at this path USERS/%User%/Library/Appplication Support/Adobe/Lightroom
I thought I did something wrong as well.  I hope this is helps you out.

Where on my mac do I find library?  I am trying to fix a blocked plug in and the directions to do so say I need to go to the /library/internet plug ins (disabled) folder.  no where to be found??

Thank you, found it!  However, my real issue is a blocked plug in.  Another person was having the same issue and they where told to do this:
    Additional Information
If you need to re-enable an out-of-date version of Flash Player, you can do the following:
Navigate to the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins (Disabled) folder.
    Drag "Flash Player.plugin" into /Library/Internet Plug-Ins.
If the browser is running, quit and restart it.
Which I do not have a Internet Plug-Ins (disabled) folder?  Can I just drag the Flash Player Plug In to the trash and start over?  Help!!

  • Cannot find "Plug-ins" folder for Photoshop CS6 on my Mac.

I cannot find ”Plug-ins" folder for Photoshop CS6 on my Mac. Path suppose to be Macintosh HD > Applications
> Adobe Photoshop CS6 > Plug-Ins but that folder is missing. Any suggestion on how to find it?

    Thank you Hans,
If I understand it correctly, way to install extensions/plugins on Mac is
    following
"Quit Photoshop, then copy the desired plug-ins (or extensions) to the
    following locations:
    Mac OS:
       - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC/Plug-ins folder
       - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder"
In my case it would be the last path, as I have CS6.
However, my problem is that Plug-ins folder is missing

  • I need help finding photos just downloaded to Lightroom...they only show up in "previous downloads" and not in a folder in my pictures

I need help finding phots just downloaded to lightroom...they only show up in "prevoious downloads" and not in a folder in my pictures.  what can I do to correct this?

Also, please be aware that Lightroom is not a file browser like your operating system Finder or Explorer is. If the photos are not in the folder you expected them to be in, it is because you (accidentally) imported them into a different folder.

  • Finder menu not accessible. When clicking finder menu all icons blink. Clock gone. Safari quits "help data plug in" Etc.

When I attempt to click anywhere on my top menu bar all of my desktop icons blink and I am not able to access anything such as my apple icon, shut down or restart or file, etc. My clock is gone, my search bar is gone, etc. Safari also keeps quitting unexpectedly while using the "help data" plug in. I can attempt to add video of the action if necessary if you need it.  Any help would be really appreciated. First time using the community. Thank you!

Update: If I click somewhere in the menu bar everything flashes as previously posted. But if I click the menu bar again after the flash I can then access the options in the bar, but everthing still missing as reported and safari crashing.

  • Plug-in presets all gone!

Okay, I have no idea at all what happened. I was using Audition and my plug-in presets were all fine, then all of a sudden they're all gone. Does anyone know how to restore the presets? I would really like to have them back. I don't care about any custom ones I had, just the factory presets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is a slightly modified version of a previous post on the subject - not so easy to find by searching, as I just discovered...
    >If you really want to restore all settings to their default, you can delete the audition_settings.xml file.
    >Please be aware that deleting or renaming the audition_settings.xml file will remove all personal settings you have made with regard to settings. So it is a good idea to make a copy of the file and to store it at a safe place before you continue.
    >The file is located in your personal folder. Typically, this will be C:\Documents and Settings\{your user-name}\Application Data\Adobe\Audition\3.0. But you have to tell Windows to show it to you, as it's hidden. This is how you do it:
    >Click Start. Open 'My Computer'. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab. Under the 'Hidden files and folders' heading select 'Show hidden files and folders'. Uncheck the 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended)' option. Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
I'd add that you may wish to reverse this process afterwards to hide them again - it's up to you. Personally, I leave them visible all the time, for all the difference it makes.

  • New Presets Do Not Consistently Go to Preset Folder

I generated a new Preset using Camera Raw as a Filter in Photoshop. When I went to save, it pointed to the folder in which the image file is stored, not the Preset folder in ACR. This does not happen consistently. However, I do not make it a practice to save new presets using the filter version as it is a scaled down version for obvious reasons. If I make a new Preset when I am in ACR from a raw file or even tiff, it saves it properly. Is there a way to point to the ACR folder instead of the image folder  without going through the file tree to get there?
    Windows 7, CC2014
BTW, the instructions I found to find the preset folder in Win 7 was way wrong. Talk about frustrating!

Here's what I found on line vs what really works to access the Settings folder.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/creativesuite/cs/using/WSCA4C914B-B11F-46c6-ACE5-42F36ED1C7BC. html
Incorrect: Stores the settings in a Camera Raw database file in the folder Document and Settings/[user name]/Application Data/Adobe/CameraRaw
The AppData folder is locked out
    Correct: C>Users>(Name)>AppData>Roaming>Adobe>CameraRaw>Settings

  • Preset folder location in Win 7

I need to move the preset folder to a new Win 7 computer and I cant find the
Win 7 location to move it to.  help?  jc

I guess you have "Store Presets with the Catalog" checked in your Preferences and your catalog resides on an portable HDD?
If you want to stay with presets individual to different catalogs, they'll always reside where your catalog resides.
    If not, you can
uncheck the "Store Presets with the Catalog" in your Preferences
copy the preferences stored with your catalog to the location you'll see in "Show Lightroom Presets Folder..." after unchecking the switch
From then on, you'll see the same presets with all your catalogs.

  • Safari can't find Plug-ins

I'm hoping someone here can help with this because as usual, Apple Support was completely worthless when I called.
This is not the usual Safari Can't find the Internet plug-in - MIME type problem that is prevalent in help forums.
Within the last couple of days, Safari became unable to use any of the plug-ins in the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins or /Users/***/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folders. When I go to Help>Installed Plug-ins, I get a BLANK page - no Java, no NOTHING, completely blank.
Within the last 2 days, I have uninstalled then downloaded and installed the newest versions of Flash Player, Shockwave, Safari 4.0.4 and Flip4Mac WMV Player. Also uninstalled and re-installed Quicktime Pro. Still, the Installed Plug-ins page is blank.
Firefox is able to access at least some of the plug-ins and seems to be functioning normally, although It won't play the video on this page http://www.taoeffect.com/espionage/.
I've Googled for an answer and searched these forums. I've found threads that sounded similar to my issue, but were not exactly the same. I did find this page (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1966?viewlocale=en_US) but its advice didn't work for me and it doesn't mention a blank Installed Plug-ins page.
What would make Safari unable to locate the plug-ins folder?
Recently I used an app to slim my Apps folder, deleting universal binaries and extra languages. Don't know if that's in any way related - shouldn't be - I've done it before with no ill effects, but it was about the same time this problem began.
Before you ask, YES I do have the Enable plug-ins box checked in Preferences.

Ratus B.V, you;'re my new hero!
I had changed my Java to 64-bit only. Never noticed any problems after doing that-it's been several weeks, I think.
After reading your message, I opened Java Preferences, clicked both *Restore Defaults* buttons, restarted Safari, and the problem was GONE!
This just reinforces how pathetic Apple Support is: Such a simple solution, and they had me uninstalling and re-installing Safari and sending in my system information for them to analyze.
This rep. (Jesse) said he was a Level 2 rep., and he went and talked to some other Level 2 reps, and no one had an answer. He emailed me their Data Capture Tool, which I was supposed to run and send the results back for analysis by an engineer. Already ran the app, but now I don't need to bother sending the results. Last time I used their tool I never received an answer back anyway.
    THANKS A LOT!
    Points headed your way.

  • Will run in Automator, won't run as Finder plug-in

    Here is my setup:
    Desktop:Folder A:Folder B
I created a simple Automator workflow to:
move Folder B to the desktop,
copy Folder A to a thumb drive
move Folder B back into Folder A
(I want to copy Folder A to the thumb drive MINUS Folder B)
This script runs within Automator, but when I save it out as a Finder Plug-In and run it via right click, it gives me this error:
    "AppleScript Error:
Can't make file "HD:Users:ThisUser:Desktop:Desktop" into type alias.
    (-1700)"
This error appears after Folder B is moved the first time, but before Folder A is copied.
    Any help?
    Matthew

    Matthew,
I am not quite sure why you are getting a path in the error message that has a duplicate "Desktop" but that is likely the source of your error.
Generally Automator workflows require some input and with the contextual Finder plug-in that normally means whatever is selected in the Finder at the time the workflow is run. This can be avoided by making the first Automator action ignore any input through selecting the "Ignore Results from Previous Action" command found for example in the Files/Folders drop-down menu at top right of the "Get Specified Finder Items".
Another way to do what you want without having to move folders:
    1) Get Specified Finder Items - specify the parent folder of Folder A & B
    2) Get Folder Contents
    3) Filter Finder Items - specify "Whose" to Name Does not contain Folder B
This should give you a listing of items that includes only Folder A which could then be saved to the thumb drive by using the Copy Finder Items action.
