Help: Font size smaller when it's a link

This has been something that's been driving me crazy for over a year and I can't seem to figure it out. After a couple of hours searching online, I thought I'd see if anyone here would be willing to help.
I seem to have no problem changing fonts and sizes in Dreamweaver, but whenever I make text a hyperlink, the size of the link changes to 12 points and nothing I try seems to work. Here's a link to an example page that shows what I've been wrestling with.
http://www.ads-on-line.com/font_test.html
As you can imagine, I'm just trying to make the hyperlinked text to match the rest of the sentence and all the normal ways--editing the html, changing it in the properties box doesn't work..
No doubt it's how the CSS file is set up or the styles I defined at the top of the document. I know very little about CSS, but my guess it's a setting in there that's telling it to default to that 12 point size. This is driving me nuts.
I'd apprecaite anyone who might be able to tell me what I need to adjust or add to fix this.
Thanks!
Bob

In your style sheet at: http://www.ads-on-line.com/new%20site/newer/mgstyle.css you have the following:
a:link {
          color: #22a9e0;
          background: transparent;
          font-size : 12px;
          font-family :  arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
          text-decoration : underline;
          font-weight : normal;
That makes all of your links 12 pixels. If you take out
     font-size: 12px;
from that style sheet, your link should stay the same size as yout text.
There are lots of other issues with your code, though. Check them out with the W3C Validator.
By the way, that style sheet also tells the font size in lots of other links to be 11 pixels, depending on the class of the div they are in.

    It's not the hardware nor the software that makes the difference, because e-mail must obey to certain rules that is RFC.

  • The printer prints the fonts too small when I try to print a page off the Internet.

    My new printer is the Photosmart D110a. It is printing documents from Microsoft word but when I try to print a document from an Internet site, the font is so small I cannot read it. How can I adjust the printer settings so the font size is a 12? I  do not think I have the wireless stuff set up correctly but I don't need to do any cloud printing or things like that. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

    OK, well, when you print, use File > Print or Control-P on the resulting window click on Preferences, then on the Effects tab.  See if you are printing in Acutal Size, like this:

  • Font size incorrect when printing smartform

    Hi,
    I have a smartform containing many smaller windows with frames. One big window should show a word in grey and in big letters behind all the other windows.
    In my smartstyles, I have used the font family "HELVE", font style bold and the size 72. When I print to a sap printer device, the word is printed in very small letters and in black. When I´m printing about LOCL and then on the same printer, the fontsize is correct.
    What can I do to change that?
    The second problem is, that the letters are shown over the frames of the other windows, but it should be completely in the background. I put the window with the backgorund letters as the first window on the screen to get it behind all others, but it´s not working....
    Cheers Arne

    method   for  font  size....
    Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
    You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
    frm ur pc only u can get this font file..

  • Change Help font size

    Hello,
    I don't know if this is really a Universal Access topic. I have what I think is average eyesight for someone just past 40 anyway.
    But trying to read the built-in online help for any application convinces me I need glasses!!
    Dictionary.app has a font size widget in its toolbar, why not Help? Mac OS X wants so badly to use miniscule 3 point type for things that it is almost torture.
    I would like to increase the default font size in a safe way (Snow Leopard, 10.6.2).
    If possible, it would be nice to have a font face / size changer widget that would work on any window of any application, with a checkbox to make it the default for that window pane.
    Thanks for your comments. I'm thinking of registering it with Apple's Bug Reporter as a UI bug since it is.
    Matt

    FYI I have registered it as a bug at bugreport.apple.com
    Problem ID: 7579066
    26-Jan-2010 09:19 AM Matt Rosin:
    Summary:
    Font size increase/decrease widget missing from the Help application used by all applications.
    Dictionary.app has it, Help needs it.
    Also the two fingered font zoom gesture needs to be enabled for the Help pane.
    The default font size is too small for people over 40 and is an Accessibility issue as well as a UI mistake.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    Open Safari
    Under Help, select Safari Help.
    Expected Results:
    Font in a readable font size. At least it should enable two fingered frame zoom gesture to zoom font size. Should also include the a/A font size changer widget that is used in Dictionary.app.
    Actual Results:
    Text is way too small to read.
    Regression:
    Would not be a problem if Safari's ordinary html rendering was used, and probably would be more flexible / higher quality. You could put movies in Help, open a two-way iChat with the developer, fill out a form, etc.

  • Can I specify font size=1 when printing HTML?

    I want print my HTML report in font size = 1. I don't know how to do it?
    When using report builder, there seems no special control for printing HTML?
    Hope experts here broaden my mind
    Richard

    This is possible
    1) In Builder paper layout select the object for which you want to change the font size
    2) In menu
    Format --> Font
    You can change the font and its size
    Then generate to html/htmlcss . I have verified this

  • "Preview," how to change font size for when you "fill in the blanks" in a pdf file?

    In the pdf reader, "PREVIEW,"
    I specifically want to find out how to change the font size for "fill in the blanks" information. They're usually huge and i just simply want to make them smaller.
    As a complete aside, is there a keyboard shortcut for being on google chrome or safari, then immediately opening the window for "preview." I'm typing notes out on preview while listening to a video lecture on my web browser, usually chrome, and i'd like to switch back and forth.
    Thank you, I'd greatly appreciate any advice.

    HI Velders,
    Can't answer your first question but can offer some information regarding your 'aside.'
    Command-tab will move the focus to the most recent previous application. If repeated, it will step through the pen applications from most to least recent. In your described case, you could use command-tab to toggle between Preview and Safari.
    Command-~ runs you through the open windows in the same application. As with command-tab, the steps are from most to least recent.

    Barry

  • How can I adjust the font size, etc., when completing a PDF form in Preview?

    I would like to use Preview to fill-out or complete a PDF form.  The default font that Preview uses when I begin typing in a field is too large.  How can I adjust the font size.  And while I'm asking, can I also adjust the font color, weight, emphasis, etc.?

    Whilst in the Preview application, press "Shift - Command - A" (⇧⌘A) simultaneously to show the markup toolbar, or click View, and select "show markup toolbar". There is an icon "A" near the right hand side of the now visible markup toolbar, click this icon to reveal all the font options.

  • Why ist the printed font size smaller then the choosen font size in pages

    Hi,
    sorry about my english it´s a lot of years agoo i used it.
    since a cuple of months i choosed a mac mini to be used as my favorit pc-system. Now i am using pages to create letters and stuff like greeting cards, posters, flyers and so on.
    In this i´ll find a problem between the choosen font sizes and the printed paper.
    If i choose a font and size like arial 12, and start the print job of the lettert with my Printer (Samsung 3170 MFC or Samsung 315), the size of the printed font is very smaller than the in pages choosen font (seen on the screen.
    If i use MS offce it is the right size on the screen as on the printet paper.
    What do i wrong?
    Greetings from Hamburg Germany

    Maybe because your document isn't displayed at 100% but at 120% on your screen.
    On my iMac, to get the same size on screen and on paper, the zoom factor must be 142% which can't be done thru the available interface.

  • Font size changed when ppt imported

    This happened on only a few slides, not all of the slides.  Font size in ppt is the same on every slide.   I tried publishing the project to see if would correct itself and it didn't.  Any ideas would be great.  Thanks!

    I figured it out....I had individual text boxes a few of my slides in ppt.  It seems as though Captivate has a hard time reading those.  I fixed it by just using the large text box that appears on a slide when you click the 'new slide' button.  Do not use individual text boxes on slides for importing.

  • CustomTaskPane Title font size changed when upgrading from 2010 to 2013

    I just upgraded my Word project from Office 2010 to Office 2013. The title of my task pane has changed font size considerably. Is there anyway to control the font size of the custom task pane title?
    taskPane = Globals.ThisAddIn.CustomTaskPanes.Add(new Ey.Wpp.Word.Controls.WppDocTreeControl(), "WPP Report Pane", ctx.Window);

    Hi Jeffki123,
    I can reproduce it as you describing. Based on my understanding, the task pane is drawed by Word applicaiton, the Word applicaiton need to make task pane fit the current version of Office.
    >>Is there anyway to control the font size of the custom task pane title?<<
    No. As far as I konw, we can only change the size and postion of custom task pane. You can get more detail about the task pane from links below:

    I suggest that you submit the feedback from link below, if you want to Word expose this function to enable change the font size of custom task pane.

  • Font size changes when exporting

    Hi all,
      When i do an RTF export of my report i found that some text has got a different size from the original font size given during design. i had given the font size as 11 during design but when i export as RTF it is shown as 10.5
    When i export the same report as an editable RTF the fontsize is 11.
    An thoughts on this?
    Regards,
    Prem
    Edited by: prem kn on Jul 15, 2008 6:22 PM

    For some export types - RTF and PDF included - the fonts are decreased by some amount, to prevent cut-off issues.  It's expected default behavior.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda
