Help for a computer/phone illiterate
I purchased a (i4) new phone today. I previously had the 3G. Well, I have tried to back-up/sync the phone numerous times and it won't transfer all my calendar information or my notes?? Called tech support 4 seperate times, after the calls were dropped. The phone drops calls, cuts out, doesn't alert when I have a text (while talking on the phone??? and it isn't muted???) and has been a general pain in the A$$ and I have only had it since 3 pm today (10-27-10). Could someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this. Did I just get a lemon phone and need to return it and try again????????

First off did you restore the content from your 3G to the iPhone 4? that could cause setting issues if the restore didn’t write correctly. You’re having problems syncing your calendar and notes what program are you syncing to? Outlook (if so version), iCal address book? did you setup sync options in the info tab of itunes? especially if you downloaded a newer itunes version sometimes these options are overlooked.

Why att store can not help for unlocking the phone
I followed the instructions to unlock our two old iphones after having iPhone 6. I received "unlock" message for one phone and did not receive the message for other phone. I am not sure if the phone has been unlocked. I went to AT&T store at Bridgewater Commons, NJ. and like to know if it Is unlocked. I was told that they can not tell and I need go to T mobile store to find out. I stopped by T mobile and found out the phone is still locked. So I went back to the AT&T store to try getting help. Because I already tried to unlock this phone three times before. There were 10 ATT people in the store and only two or three customers there. I asked one of employees to tell me what I need to do. I was told that they do not have the service to help unlocking and I need to call customer service. I said to her that you have 10 employees here and why can not help, I would like to speak to the store manager. The store manager Dawn was there and she told me the same thing. They can not help and I need to call the customer service. I kept asking but why you can not help. Finally she said that she can help me to call the customer. She called and the phone was not go through. Finally the employee asked me the phone number and I thought that maybe she will help me to unlock. Actually she just made another unlock request online for me and I need to wait the email in 24 hours and redo the unlock process later. I would to know why att store can not help the customers to unlock their old phones after getting the new phones. Why att keeps 10 employees in one store and can not help to solve customer problems.

AT&T keeps 10 employees at a store in case they need them to assist customers with purchasing items, or with items recently purchased.
The Store representatives can't help you with the unlock portion because it requires access to systems they are not authorized to access. If store employees could access the unlock system (other than the very same portal you can access) then there would be a high risk that there would be inapropriate unlocks by employees for their friends & relatives. AT&T's solution is to not allow them access to those systems, and have everyone go through the same process so that everyone gets the same treatment. If you are having problems with your unlock requests through the portal, try contacting customer support or you can send a private message to the escalation team at ATT Customer Care and someone will get in touch with you in two to three business days to help you get a resolution to your problems.

Hello, this is my first post.
Well lately I've been experiencing some connection issues with my iPhone 5s. I was on my iPhone just watching Youtube when my iPhone 5s disconnected, I tried to connect again by going to settings> Wi-FI> and then select my network as usual, but the weird thing is that my Wi-Fi network has changed it's name to Wireless, it used to be Wireless710. Also the password has been changed.
My computer can easily connect due to the fact that it is hardwired to the Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.

Carrier is Sprint.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.
My Wireless Cable Modem Gateway is Netgear.
And now I am confused because when I open the small tab with the computer and a plug on the bottom right corner next to the speaker icon it says I'm not connected :/?! Here is a picture of it:
Note that I can not connect to it but am connected on my computer. It just disappeared on my phone and computer, I even unplugged my router waited for 20 seconds and connected it back in. Did it wok? for my computer yes again because it is hardwired, but my phone? No. Wireless 710 still won't show up. Is this a possible hack? Please help me as much as you all can, thank you very much.Log in to the router's console with a web browser from your computer. What kind of encryption did you have on the router? If it was WEP that's about as secure as no encryption. It should be WPA or WPA2. There has been an exploit reported in Netgear and Linksys routers that allows someone connected to the router if Remote Access to the console is enabled to take it over and install spyware on it.
Is it your router, or the cable providers? If it is yours it has been hacked. If it belongs to the cable provider they may have changed it to make it more secure. Call them.
And if it has been hacked and is yours the best thing to do is to throw it away and get a new, more secure router. Or you can try reflashing the firmware by going to Netgear's site and downloading a clean copy. -
i am unable to set up my iphone 5 after reset since am getting a error stating 'unable to reach server' . i tried restoring the same from my computer but i get a error stating server unavailable' . please help me as my phone is stuck at the set up page. so i have already tried recovery mode as well.

I have tiger 10.4.11. In order for my computer to recognize my new Iphone I need to install the new iTunes, however the new iTunes will not download on my computer because it is not 10.5 or higher. Is there a way that I can upgrade from tiger to leopard? Help!!

My iPhone 4S on iOS7 is stuck on Apple Logo, and it goes off, then back to Apple Logo again for hours. Pressing home button together with sleep button does not help. Plugging the phone to Mac and restart does not help either. What do I do?
Have not backed up for months, so prefer not to lose the data.

Hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Click the Update or Restore button that iTunes offers.

After downloading 5.0.1 to my Phone, I lost my music on the
phone. Syncing on different ways didn't help. On the phone , in STORE, misses in Automatic downloads: Music!
Is that part of the problem? Or is 5.0.1.not corrt?Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Your computer is probably set up to access your Yahoo mail using POP3. POP3 does not synchronize with the server. For full synchronization, you will need to use IMAP instead. See the Yahoo mail help pages for instructions on how to configure your mail client.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

When I ordered my phone on Sept. 13th in a Verizon store, I had to ask the salesman how I went about getting the $200 rebate. He said shipping materials would come with the new phones. When I received the confirmation e-mail of my order, it contained a link for the rebate. Fortunately I clicked on the link, filled out the form online, and received the packing materials to send my phone in shortly after. My phones came in on Oct. 14th and I sent 3 of them back. So far I have received a gift card for $200 for 2 of the phones; the other is showing not received. I don't know what your situation is, but I think the promotion ended Oct. 15th. If I had listened to the salesman I think I would be out of luck as well. I hope I am wrong for your sake.
