Help for oldie trying to keep up

Every time I figure out where Flash is at they move it. For the millionth time in my life I'm left high and dry at 3 a.m. trying to figure out how to do something that was easy in CS that obviously can't be done in CS4 without the agony of reading Adobe's sadistically useless help files.
Tomorrow I'll get a Flash for Dummies book and find the answer to my problem.
And one of these days someone will develop an alternative to Flash and Adobe will suddenly start listening to its customers, writing clear manuals and developing programs with intuitive interfaces so ordinary people can use them.

I would say I am better off with the new interface since it is consistent across other Creative Suite applications so I don't have to learn or remember a different set of rules for different but INTERRELATED applications.
Though help manual is good enough if you have the basic knowledge of software and only want to know how the stuff is done in this version, I still make use of other resources on the web. Being context sensitive and connected to online documentation, the help does good work for me.

I think this is not a Firefox issue. Please try this: Right-click on the desktop, choose 'Properties' click the 'Desktop' tab and 'Customize Desktop' > 'Web'. Deselect or delete all the web addresses in the middle box. And click 'Ok'.

Help for those trying to connect clients to Oracle

I have seen (and started) several threads in the past asking how
to get the client software necessary to let Windows 95 clients
talk to "Oracle for Linux" servers. Nobody seemed to know how
to get a copy of Net8 client for Windows 95. Well, I finally
got a copy (along with a lot of other useful client stuff, and a
tool to convert Access databases to Oracle) when I ordered the
$4.95 trial version of Oracle for Windows NT. It comes with
helpful documentation as well.
Warning: according to Oracle, a lot of their client stuff won't
work properly if you're running Windows 98 instead of Windows
95. That'll teach you not to upgrade too quickly!

I got PO Lite 3.5 for Windows 95/98/NT and the client works fine.
Although the PO 8 Client didn't work with Windows 98 (it worked
for Windows 95).

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

As cbs20 alludes, if you didn't buy it new, those apps are registered with the previous owner. If you are the original owner, the support people should be able to help.

Have you moved Pages from its installed location? Or just dragged a copy to your current system?
It can't find some of its resources apparently.

Just updated from 10.6.7 ---> 10.6.8 and had the same issue. Despite having done a clean install from 10.6 and got everything back off my TC, now Time Machine can't find it!
Green light is on, ethernet cable conected, network CP says its conected but nothing. Airport Utility can't find it. Hit reset button, Orange flashing light but still no show in Airport Utility.
But I know its there, as rebooting from 10.6 SL disk shows the backups are still ok?
Hmm, ideas anyone?

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.
