Help for Patch installation on EP!!!

Hi,
I have installed Netweaver-04 SR1.
-)I Installed WAS with ABAP Stack.
-)Then Java addin.
-)& EP installation.
I have not yet installed any licence and i want to install SP12 for EP. As per the documents SR1 Includes upto SP9. i want that if anyone give guidence for that how to proceed for SP12 (Steps) that because after this i have to install XI too. I went through the doucments of how to install sp but was bit confusing. Any input in this area is highly appriciated.

unfortunately I have not much experience with upgrading the double stack (i.e. ABAP + Java) installations. Therefore I would not be able to add much to what's already in the upgrade guides. Have you seen this guide: https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001930932005
This is a common guide on how to apply support packages for different NW04 components. The Enterprise Portal scenario is described on page 21. In the table, there's a list of all packages (i.e. SAR files) that you need to download from service marketplace.
Basically, the order of patching is first apply patches to the Web AS Java, then EP patches...
However, you should have no problems if you follow the procedure outlined in the document mentioned above.

I ignore it and run ./runInstaller for install database but the GUI terminate without an error contain in file /oracle/OraInventory/logs

there's no shortage of problems with the O9iAS installation on W_2000. It's certainly not for the faint hearted but it can be made to work in the end. I thought I had the same problem as you and I too aborted it. After dropping the schemas and restarting the configuration it happened again but completed OK when I left it alone.
It took several hours but worked OK afterwards or at least I had a different set of problems. There was a previous entry which mentioned this in one of the discussions
which suggested it may be a bug. Try searching for "90%".

refer oracle installation guides, its better and helpful to avoid unnecessary headaches.

Need help for PeopleSoft Installation - PeopleSoft Database configuration

I am working on the step that requires me to put in Admin User, Admin Password, PeopleSoft Symbolic ID, PeopleSoft Access ID, PeopleSoft Access Password, PeopleSoft Connect ID, PeopleSoft Connect Password, Microsoft SQL server Data file name & Microsoft SQL server Log file name.
When i pressed the Next button, this came out:
Setup fails to connect to the SQL Server in the system. the error message is: noerror. Please make sure a SQL Server is running in the system. The minimum supported version is SQL Server 2008. Please go to previous screen to correct the problems or 'Cancel' to exit.

First of all are your running SQL Server 2008?
Second if you are, then you should provide the correct syntax for sql server wich is (if you installed sql server according the installation manual ) [machinename]\SQL2008

Can I install the OBIEE 10g version?I am not sure but i think OBIEE is not certified with windows 7. i could not find any MOS doc confirming same. Please log a call with oracle to confirm this.
would it work fine with the Oracle Database 11g and the RCUs?. Yes OBIEE 10g will work with oracle database 11g.

I am having problem in installing SAP netweaver 2004 on my windows xp.
when i try to run the setup,the following error occur to prevent me from futher installing :
An error occur during the installation of components SAP Netweaver sneak preview 04 support release 1> Migration - target system installation .
The following is the log file:

You can't install in xp; check Note 722273; this note talks about the configuration. very helpfull but you need to meet the minimum SAP requirement. Read any instllation guide for hardware reqirement.

I'm not sure, from your description, exactly what you are looking for. "Username" and "E-mail"? Are you perhaps looking for the ability to enter a "reply-to" email address that is different from the actual email address of the account you are sending from? If so, that feature is indeed not presently available in BB10. Among other features, it may be one that many hope are added to the BB10 platform with future OS releases. But, for now, it is what it is.

Urgent Help is Needed for Database Installation Problems

How can we resolve the following database problems in Windows XP? Originally, we had Oracle 10.1.0.4.2, and we wanted to upgrade it to Oracle 10.2.0.1. We uninstalled Oracle Home ORAH1_DEV and then got the following problems while installing Oracle 10.2.0.1. -OyA specific ORACLE_HOME holds the binaries for a specific version of Oracle. You don't upgrade by simply installing a newer version of Oracle into the ORACLE_HOME of an older version. If you tried to do that you have probably irreversibly corrupted the original installation.
And there is no URGENT or ASAP here. We are all volunteers with regular jobs. If you have "urgent" support issues you need to open a Service Request with Oracle Support.

we are looking to install a cluster of weblogic servers, based on a SAN network.
We are looking for advice on what the best practise is for the installation within
directories /opt/bea/...etc for the various components: product, configuration,
application, jar, ear, etc.
Can anyone provide some good pointers of what they have used?

I'm not familiar with SAN networks. WLS 6.x is not very flexible as far as allowing
you to select directories for components. Unless someone else can offer help on this
newsgroup I suggest you ask your sales rep to put you in touch with BEA's professional
services. Someone from PS can work with you directly and offer recommendations
specific to your applications needs.

Unfortunately, there is no one ‘Silver Bullet’ answer for this issue. Many things can contribute to the problem.
Try Resetting Your iPod while it's connected to the computer.
Hold down the Menu and Select buttons until you see the Apple logo (or Menu & Play/Pause in older models).
This will often get it recognized. It may take several attempts.
Other USB connected peripherals may be the cause as well. Try removing all connected USB items and attaching the iPod. If you have a USB keyboard, it may be worth a try using the adapter to convert it to non-USB. If the iPod connects, continue plugging things back in until you have the problem return. You may have then isolated the issue. Sometimes it could be a printer, camera, Flash Card reader, or other attached device causing a conflict.
If your iPod shows up in Explorer under 'my computer' try changing the drive letter: Click on Start=>Control Panel=>Admin Tools=>Computer Management=>Disk Management. Right-Click on the iPod and select “change drive letter”. Choose something further along in the alphabet that is unused. Usually, “M”, “N”, “O”, or something similar.
If that doesn't work, Put Your iPod into Disk Mode then plug it in and you should be able to Restore the iPod
Also try this (and the other suggestions above) from any other USB port you may have on the PC. Sometimes switching USB ports can make all the difference.

I´m absolutely new in the world of SAP and just started lessons in ABAP on Netweaver 7.02.
Our teacher told us to install a mini SAP at home for training, so I download this :
SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Developer Edition
And this is my problem : I never installed a system like this before.
My Notebook have : 2.16 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB Harddisk
Did I need something else and how can I get it ?
How to start installation ?
Is there any installation guide ?
I'll be thankful for any advice.
