Help! Frozen iPod that wont restart

Hey guys. So earlier today my iPod froze, so I left it be for a bit. Now for the past 2 or 3 hours it wont turn on, and just keeps flashing the apple logo every few seconds. I've tried chargig it, restarting, and restoring it, but nothing seems to be working. It keeps making the sound it makes when it first get plugged in too. Please help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have videos on my ipod that wont show up in itunes!!!

There are two videos on my ipod that I want deleted but they wont show up in itunes. Can anyone help me? They take up too much space on my ipod and I want them gone without having to restore everything.

Dumb question - How did they get on your iPod if they are not in iTunes? Anyway, you can try swiping across the title and deleting it within the iPod. Then sync. If they appear to return, they are in iTunes someplace (you can search for them).

Please Help! my ipod nano has decided to stop working altogether - will not switch on or connect to computer. have tried to reset it several times but it wont work!

Congrats, for your nano! Not for its problems, I mean!
About your iPod's problem:
First, make sure the "hold" switch isn't on. The hold switch is located on the top of your iPod. If it's orange, then that means it's on. If it's grey, it's not on. Switch it off (grey) if it was on (orange).
If that wasn't the problem, let's make sure your iPod is even charged enough. Hook your iPod into the computer using the USB cord to the computer (that also charges the iPod), leave it there for 10 minutes, and see if it comes alive.
Presuming that your iPod won't charge or wake up to your computer charger, if you have a wall charger for your iPod (that's different than the cord for the computer charger), hook it up, leave it there for 10 minutes, and see what happens.
Thes suggestions should work for your iPod. It's most likely something pretty simple.

Help - frozen ipod (1st generation) on language screen

Help - my ipod (which has been lovingly cared for) froze while playing music. I couldn't skip tracks or replay etc so I did the pressing the menu and select buttons (many times) it rebooted, but was still frozen, so I restored it to factory settings. It has duly restored but now it is frozen on the select language screen and I can't move from there. Any suggestions please?

That's impossible, every Mac. has Disk Utility. You might have to go down to the Apple Store and ask them why you don't have Disk Utility.

Please Help! Ipod nano wont turn on.

Ok, well, my battery was low so I decided to charge it like, three days ago. Ok? Now, I charged it from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. I woke up at 6:00 am to unplug it and have a great day. Then, the screen was just plain old black. I checked to see if it was on hold, it wasnt. I tried turning it on, it didnt turn on. I tried reseting it, it wouldnt reset. I followed the steps given for support, it didnt work. I deleted my cookies, it didnt work. Now, it wont turn on and I cant listen to my music! I'm so ****** at apple!!!!! What should I do?

I have same broken iPod Touch 4G, I'm stuck on the Apple logo and only what I can do is just restart. If I connect iPod turns on but that's all. I checked a lot of tricks how to restart/reboot device and how to get DFU but I have only the logo. iTunes on my mac can't recognize the device.
And in Apple retail store the guy told me: sorry it's dead. We can fix for about £200. After 1 month when my waranty is finished. Funny isn't it? I can't believe that my lovely iPod is dead after 13 months. Where is the "for quality you have to pay." Is it conspiracy if you don't buy extra waranty we will send you killing signal into your iDevice?

Frozen ipod that is no longer recognized by computer

Help! My I-pod nano is frozen. It has been frozen before, so I did what Apple.com said to do. It is still frozen! So I decided to plug it in to the computer to charge .. and the I-pod is no longer recognized by my computer!
I've tried a million times to unfreeze it, doing what Apple said, but nothing is working! And why is Itunes not recognizing my I-pod?

Please help frozen ipod

i can tell my ipod isn't frozen because instead of the apple logo i have got a moving animated one. it tells me how much percent it is up to so when it is up to 100 its ready my one just isn't working when i get to 100 % it just stops with a loading circle. that occasionally stops so i have to turn it of so it doesn't stay like that. when i turn it off it comes back on in like 10- 20 mins but when i turn it off and try to turn it off myself it says its out of charge. it knows when i put the charger in because the lightning bolt come up but it is not charging efficiently because i leave it for ages and it still has no charge. i even tried to plug it in to my musicplayer it was put in firmly but it said there was no ipod plugged in. please help i don't want to throw it out

How do i restore my ipod that wont turn on?

i went to an apple store because i thought my ipod wouldnt turn on, but he told me to just restore it on itunes. i plugged my ipod into the computer and it wont even turn on, so i cant restore it.

Please help ! - iPOD 20GB Wont Start OR Update OR Format.

When i try to turn my iPOD 20gb on it comes up with a folder and a exclamation mark with a link, then shuts straight back down. i have downloaded latest software and when i try ti use it i can only RESTORE. When i try to RESTORE the bar does not fill up. then an error message comes up saying cannot mount iPOD.
I do not have the option to update.
Please please help.

If your iPod shows up in Explorer under 'my computer' try changing the drive letter:
-- Click on Start=>Control Panel=>Admin Tools=>Computer Management=>Disk Management
-- Right-Click on the iPod and select “change drive letter”
-- Choose something further along in the alphabet that is unused (Usually, “M”, “N”, “O” or something similar)
-- Safely eject the iPod
-- Reboot the PC

HELP ME- ipod mini wont play songs!

i have rescently moved houses and had to load my ipod mini on to a new computer and new i tunes list. I re loaded all my music on to the new list and transfered my ipod to factory settings to wipe all my old music. But when i went transfer all of my music to my ipod everything went bad!
my ipod says it has the songs on it but when i go to play them it plays none of them and just skips them all! Also when my ipod is connected to itunes i cant play the songs that are said to be in my ipod, but all the songs in my library play perfectly! (which are the same as the ones in my ipod)
please help me im going crazy!!!

Have you any tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store? Did you authorise the new computer: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation you could also have a look here: Troubleshooting songs that skip on iPod
One last thing, when your iPod is connected to iTunes and you try to play it through the computer do you get Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen? This would mean that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. Someone please help!! i just got my ipod nano for christmas in `07 and my XP wouldnt recognize my ipod. So i downloaded songs that i already had on my XP to a CD and put thoose on my brothers computer which did recognize my ipod. Then i added the playlist to my ipod and when i tried selecting my ipod nothing happened. Please help!!! i really want to be able to listen to my ipod.

HELP! iPod Charge/Wont boot or mount on computer.

I get a second hand iPod off of ebay. It was a 20GB 4G Black and White screened ipod. The package came with no firewire cable or AC adatptor, which at the time I diddnt min cos it was so cheep. It did come with a USB though.
I have a mac and a PC. I pluged it into the PC to put in a clean install of the iPod software. The iPod updater got all the way to the end then it hung, eventuly I got impatiant and ended the program.
Now it wont mount or start up and has a picture of the AC adaptor being plugged into the wall.
Do I need a firewire cable to charge it?

If it's a 4th generation click-wheel iPod it should charge via usb. If you restored it on a pc via a usb connection then it needs to be plugged into a power source via the charger to complete the update. That's why that particular iPod was supplied with a charger.
Have you tried restoring the iPod with your Mac? If you have a firewire cable and a powered firewire port on either of your computers, you could try that.

With the iPod turned off, press and hold the Home button. Connect it to your computer and open iTunes. Keep holding the Home button until iTunes sees it. You will have to do a full restore.
