Help get input controls working WEBI 4.0 BEx

Hello All
I am trying to get WEBI Input Control working for me, and all I seem to be getting is the error message
Unable to get the first page of the current report.
Please check the validity of your report or contact your administrator. (ERR WIJ 20003).
What I am doing is as follows:
Create a Cross Tab based upon BEx Query via BICS the format is basically
Cross Tab 1
FY.........Period..........Structure.........u20AC
I am wanting to click on FY and have it report on
Cross Tab 2
Period..........Structure.........u20AC
I then create an element link for all objects (single doesn't work either)
When I select FY I get the above error message.
Can anyone please help me become wiser as to how to work with WEBI and BEx?
Thanks
Phillip

Hi Philip,
Thanks for your interest in Web Intelligence input controls.
Although I have not all the details of the issue you are encountering, this looks like a bug we've found with Web Intelligence 4.0 input controls occurring specifically with objects from BICS sources (logged as fix request 1553312 / customer issue CSS 393735 in our systems).
This issue has been fixed with Web Intelligence 4.0 SP2.1 (patch 1 of SP2), which has been released last week AFAIK.
If the issue persists or you are not sure that this fix addresses your issues, I strongly encourage you to get in touch with customer support to report your issue so wde can have this corrected as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind besides that hiercharchies are not yet supported by input controls, new controls will be specifically introduced with Web Intelligence 4.1 to select values from tree lists.
Hope that helps,
David.

Use below formula in blank cell:
    =ReportFilter([Object Name])

  • Help getting XBox 360 working with X

Alright, you'll have to excuse me, I'm a computer pro, but a complete newbie when it comes to consoles. I had a really crummy TV when I got my 360, so I decided to instead hook it up to my monitor (24" widescreen LCD) and figured I'd use my X-Fi Fatalty to provide the sound. Got everything working on the video end, however I'm having troubles getting sound to work at all on the audio side. So far what I've done is plug the audio jacks into their respecti've plugs on the Aux 2 (I/O dri've) hooku
    ps.
However, I have no clue how to switch over from recieving sound from my computer to recieving it from the Xbox. Can anyone offer any advice? Is there maybe an article somewhere on the web that takes you through setting up your Xbox with your X-fi?

Plug the xbox in directly in youre x-fi in the back. That worked perfect for me.. You dont need to switch anything. All you have to do is plug it in, and then choose in the mixer which device you want as recorder, of course you choose the input you plugged youre xbox360 sound in, and voila it should work.

  • No Input controls in Web Intelligence Ritch Client ?

    Hi,
I have got Web Intelligence Rich Client 12.1.0.882 ( the one from the Trial BO Edge)
I wan't to set Input Controls like Buttons, etc.
According to the Documentation "Building Reports with the Web Intelligence Java Report Panel"
    ( xi31_sp2_webi_java_en.pdf ) this is possible:
Chapter 19 "Filtering data using input controls"
    Input controls defined
Input controls provide a convenient, easily-accessible method for filtering
and analyzing report data. You define input controls using standard windows
controls such as text boxes and radio buttons. You associate these controls
with report elements such as tables or section headers, and use the controls
to filter the data in the report elements. When you select values in the input
control, Web Intelligence filters the values in the associated report elements.
Anybody found the Input Control Tab ?
    Where ?
    Wrong version ?
    Thanks
    Martin

    Hello Martin,
Thank you for your interest in that feature.
Input controls were delivered from Service Pack 2 of XI 3.1, and are available from all WebI clients, with that release level.
Version number you provide corresponds to XI 3.1, not XI 3.1 SP2, for which About... should display version number 12.2.0.290, reason why you haven't been able to find the feature.
Input control tab is available as an extra tab on the left hand side of Rich Client (by default), tab is simply called 'Input Controls', there are also a specific entry on some Report Element contextual menus (to facilitate input control definition from current selection).
    Hope that helps,
    David.

  • Need Help Getting ARD to Work

I just started working for a new company, and I'm having trouble getting Remote Desktop working to control my home computer. When I try to login, I get the message, "Connection failed to "XXX.XXX.XX.XXX". I know my home machine is setup properly, because it worked fine from my previous employer's office. I suspect that the port ADR uses is blocked.
    1) Is it possible for ADR to communicate over a non-standard port? How?
    2) Without involving IT, how do I find out which ports are open? (Their attitude is that my preferred method of working is unsupported, but if I want to figure it out, they won't interfere.)
I'm very computer literate but not particularly network savvy, so I'd appreciate more verbose answers. Thanks.

  • Help getting Gmail to work on N95 using IMAP?

I've just set up a gmail account and I can't get it to work with the built in client on my N95. It works with Entourage on my Mac so I know I have all the right settings, and I've been through all the Google instructions for setting up with an S60 client.
Every time I try and connect I get "Connecting to mailbox 'Googlemail'", then after a long time it comes up with a brief "Mailbox disconnected" error and something about reaching specified idle. I can't even get as far as connecting to the mailbox.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I have the latest firmware V21.
Does it matter what the IMAP4 folder path is set to?

    Good for you
Problem is, it doesn't work for me and I was hoping someone else was getting the same problem.

  • Need help getting sRGB settings working right.

After reading lots of input from all kinds of sources I decided for my purposes it is best to set my Photoshop CS4 to sRGB. The problem I'm having is that quite often if I drag and drop an image as a new layer on another image I get a warning asking me if I'm sure I "want to convert colors to a destination document with a color profile that does not match the current RGB working space?"  It then goes on to tell me that my source is sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and that my destination is Adobe RGB (1998) and that the working is sRGB IEC61966-2.1.   Since I have set my Photoshop under Edit>Color Settings to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and  I have my camera's color setting at sRGB I'm wondering why the window is telling me that my destination is Adobe RGB (1998).  I initially shoot in RAW and then open my photos in Camera Raw in Bridge and when I'm done with whatever changes I want to make there I simply "Open Image" which, of course, opens it in CS4 where the color setting, again, is sRGB.  What else do I need to change to get everything operating under color setting sRGB?
Thanks for any help you can give.

The camera color setting only applies to jpegs that you shoot.
If you are shooting in RAW then your image doesn't have a color space applied to it until you open it in Photoshop.
At the bottom of your Camera Raw window is a blue hot link. Click on this to open the Workflow Options.
There you can change the Color Space, Bit Depth. Size and Resolution that your image will open as in Photoshop.
These settings in ACR will override any settings you have for your default color space in Photoshop

  • Looking for help getting EZdrummer to work in Logic Pro 9

First off let me say I have looked everywhere and even talked to toontack about the following problem. Toontrack as said that the plug-in is working properly and the problem is with Logic.
Ok so I purchased toontrack ezdrummer and drumkit from ****. After installing them and updating to ezrumming 1.2 I am unable to load ezdrummer in logic pro 9. The really strange thing is that it will launch when using garageband and fully function.
In logic it is not in AU manager and not there for selection in the channel strip, so I thought at first that it was only installing as a VST. However, when looking in Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Components, EZdrummer.component is there. I thought this was where Logic looked for AU plug-ins but I'm now thinking thats wrong but I've not been able to find anything saying different.
Please guys any help you can offer would be outstanding. I'm so fed up I'm about to get a refund but I would rather use this software.
    Thanks.

    EZDrummer works fine here.
You could try trashing this file:
    Macintosh HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/com.apple.audiounits.cache
On the next launch, Logic will rescan all your plugins.
You could also try a new OS X user account.
And what exact version of Logic are you using?

  • When i go to gmail it says "Not Found. The requested URL/accounts/service login was not found on this server" but it used to work and I need help getting it to work again.

I used to go to gmail all the time. Now it says "Not Found" whenever I go to gmail. Is there a reason for this and is there a way I can access gmail again?

    http://gmail.com

You've been really helpful and I did what you said, but I'm still having a problem. I click on "tools", then click on "Add-ons", and when the box opens I click on "extensions". This is the problem" In the "Add-on" box under "extensions", it says "'''Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant''' 1.0. Adds ClickOnce support and the ability to report installed .NET versions to the web server. '''Not compatible with Firefox 3.6.3.'''" And underneath there are 3 boxes to click on: "options", "enable", and "uninstall". But it won't let me click on any of them. Also, the first thing before the text I just copied, is a red explanation point. This is the only thing that comes up under "Extensions". Any ideas? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

  • Need help getting site to work in IE7... works in all other current browsers

I am somewhat new to web design and css. I am using Dreamweaver cs4. My site works well on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and IE8.
The client decided to tell me that the site does not work in IE7 and they wanted it fixed to please 2 of their clients. Yes, just 2 clients.
The original issue was that the site was panning to the right in the browser window (IE7) instead of being centered in the wrapper, in which I learned that IE7/6 does not support auto margins. So I worked to fix that and it centered properly. Now the submenus under contact are not working/showing up... only in IE7. The menus are hand coded via css as the original spry menu wasn't working for any IE versions. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I think I may have over-coded? I originally thought it was a z-index issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,

  • Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra: Need help getting it to work with Vis

Does anyone know if the Zen Xtra will work with Windows Vista 32-bit's? I have tried installing the software that came with my MP3 player on my laptop that runs with Vista and it just doesn't work. Are there new drivers that I need? Please help!

i just found another, easier way to make you zen xtra work with windows vista
go to the support page and download the oldest driver, i think it's version .30 or somehting like that
install that- it should prompt you to overwrite a newer version of the driver, if it does, say ok
vista might then ask you if it installed correctly, say no, and run the installation in compatibility mode
then download the oldest version of nomad explorer, and install that
instead of using the preset instalation directory, select browse
i'm not sure if this has any effect, but i think some of the folders are renamed for vista
when the installation is finished, select "restart my computer now"
if you wait, it may not work properly
this should get nomad explorer running properly with vista
if you don't like this program and prefer creative media source organizer, you can now transfer your music to your harddri've and update your firmwar, without having to worry about external storage, a dual boot system, or any of those messy options

  • Need help getting Forms to work

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle 8i EE on RH6.2. It was working fine until I installed Forms6i. I believe that I have installed Forms6i correctly; however, whenever I try to connect to the listener i get the error: TNS-01150: The address of the specified listener name is incorrect.
I also get the following error when I try to connect to svrmgrl: Error in loading shared libraries.
If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it!
    Thanks,
    Mel

    hi;
1.test the connectivity while creating the listener
2.you might have used thewrong protocol while going for the listener in net 8 easy configuration
3.write the name of the listener in the host string

  • Need Help Getting JavaBeans to work in Forms 6i

I have followed the docs of Dev6iR2 to use a JavaBean on a form and cannot see it, no matter what I try or where I put it.
I believe I have the correct location of all jars - other class files in the same jar (as well as the bean) are seen by the Importer and work via wrapped PLSQL class.
But the bean does not display on the screen at design time or run time.
If someone has gotten this to work I would like to speak with you.
Doing all this via email gets silly after a while.
And, yes, I have read the docs, and followed the examples and no I can't install the Forms Demos because the installer balks at installing into an installation with multiple homes....

    Hi Joe,
to install the demos, just ignore the installer...
1st, extract the zip... (you already did it, i guess)
In the win32\pmbf\6_0_8_8\demo\forms directory you'll find the demos (forms fmb's and fmx's).
copy them into a directory thats suits your own organization, or leave them there.
in demo\java you find the appropriate classe (and sources in \source\)
search for the location of the classes and jars of the standard forms developer installation and place them there.
When you now load one of the fmb's in the builder, just run them with the 'web' option (your locally installed forms server will start now and load the correspondent envirmonment of a correct installed web foems server).
Now you should see the working java beans embedded in forms.
The canvas view (in forms builder) does not work correct till now, perhaps check the official patches, they are at 7 at the moment.
The Beans ar not working in the standard runform mode, perhaps they fix it with further patches, but i don't think so, because the web option is designed and working for this purpose...
    cheers
    Michael
