Help getting back in after deauthorizing

I use overdrive to checkout books from the library on my ipad. Because of the ios7 update i was told to shut overdrive down and deauthorize adobe then open all back up and log back in. All was good until i tried to log back in to adobe now its telling me incorrect password. I called the library and she gave me the correct password but it still wont let me in. Can someone please help?

I have an iPod Touch 5Gen, but my problem is universal to other devices using IOS8, so I'm posting here
I have recently switched to ISO8 and I had a major freeze. I had to restore my device and since my device WAS NOT icloud sync because because I only have a 5 GB free plan.... SO...well I lost a lot of data. I'm the only one to blame.
BUT, how can I get back my purchased apps & in apps and other apps that were free at the time and are not anymore ?

What I think it could have happened also is the following: When I first bought my device 2 years ago, I used my artistic name for address and information purposes. After I have restored my device this week, I put my real name but I still kept the same icloud username.

Help getting back to OS 9 desktop

I was going to install OS X 10.4 Tiger on Power Mac system with 0S 9 installed, but found I need to change formatting to journaled from standard. So, for now I decided to cancel the install. But, the problem is that when I quit the installer from the Tiger disk I'm given the option to choice a start up disk. I choose the OS 9 start up disk and the computer restarts to the installer program for the Tiger install. I'm in this horrible loop and don't know how to get back to the OS 9 desktop now. Any ideas?

Try this - restart or boot, immediately press the Option key, keep it held down. This should load Startup Manager (it's a slow load - wait it out).

Ignore the picture in that article - it's for newer model Macs.
Among the icons displayed should be one showing the OS 9 volume (your internal hard drive). Click that icon once to select it, then click the straight arrow on the right. That should get the machine booted to OS 9 on the hard drive. Once that has happened, open the Startup Disk control panel and reset it to OS 9 on the hard drive.
If while in Startup Manager you want to eject the CD, press Command-. (Command-periodkey).
There's another startup keyboard command that can prove useful at times - when booting, immediately press the mouse button down, keep it held down. This instructs the Mac to eject all removable media, usually meaning a CD that's in the drive. Note - if you're using a third-party multi-button mouse, you'd need to press its default button.

Getting back up after disc crash

The hard drive died on my ibook, so I had to have a new one installed and completely reload the software. I had my itunes library backed up on another computer on the network, so was able to import it.
Now when I attach my ipod to the ibook, the ipod says "do not disconnect," and seems to be doing something important, but even overnight it doesn't finish. If I unplug (either before or after dismounting) I can use the ipod, but I can't sync it with the computer, and itunes doesn't seem to see it. If I open the ipod, I see the calendar, etc, but no music.
Should I just wait? How long will it take? Resetting the ipod does not help, and I have the most current software installed.

How to get back HDD after ejecting ?

Hi guys,
I tried to import some files into FCE. The files is located in my external HDD.
After clicking click import, the finder comes out & I am supposed to click the icon of the external HDD but I accidentally clicked the triangle icon thus causing the external HDD to eject.
In order to get the icon of the external HDD back again so I can do the import, I restart the whole system but I think this is too time consuming.
Is there a way to get the external HDD back without having to restart the whole system ?

How to get back library after iTunes update?

All of my music is installed in a folder named iTunes Music on a USB external hard drive. Everything was working fine until yesterday. I might have made a mistake. Without the external hard drive attached to my laptop, I downloaded and installed the most recent version of iTunes for windows. With the external drive attached, I opened iTunes and the library is gone and the entire music panel in iTunes is empty. I tried to change the library back to F:iTunes Music, the folder where the music is stored, but nothing happened. What do I do now? Please help.

Try holding down the Shift key in Windows when opening iTunes. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to an existing one. The default location for your iTunes library is in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\ (or C:\Username\Music\iTunes\ in Vista). Look in there and see if you have more than one library file (they have the extension .itl) If you have more than one try opening them in turn, you may find your original library is still intact. Help Get back old Address Book

I recently had some type of virus sending out a link from my contact book through Yahoo!, but only while my computer was physically turned off. I read online other people having this problem deleted their address book to get rid of it. I did that assuming I could delete it, then sync from my Mac Address Book.
Except it went the other way, now both are empty. I really want my address book on my Mac back as it linked BDays to Calendar and had photos of everyone.
Can someone tell me how to do this? I tried going into Time Machine to before I deleted, but it did not work. I assume restoring the Address Book only restores the software not the data it held. Can I restore the data that was in the Address Book at a given point?

On your first point I agree, I could have avoided this by simply backing up my Address book data - takes a few seconds and it was silly not to.
On your second...It could very well be a coincidence that the email went out while the computer was turned off. It is a fact that an email went out (twice - 6 weeks apart) from my account to my entire Yahoo! contact list containing only a link to something malicious that luckily only one person clicked on and required their computer to be wiped. I promise you it does in fact exist. It was very much in my sent box and most friends replied immediately to let me know it happened.
I am sure you see the idiocy in your comment that if it hasn't happened to you, or anyone you know - it doesn't exist.
Anyway - it worked perfectly, I do appreciate your time. By chance do you know if there is some literature or a site that explains how the Sync works. What I mean is, for example, my wife and I both sync our calendar and contact lists through Mobile Me. If we both make changes between syncs, does it make both match the one that made the most recent change, or can you set up some type of master? I don't mind looking for the answer myself, but if you know a starting point I'd appreciate it.

How do i get back tabs after f/f is closed by a crash?

After each of the last few F/F updates and after a few Windows updates, my open session was reset. When I look for system restore I cannot find the b****y thing. And this really p****s me off!!
Since F/F has recently been "improved" (like hell it has!!! - even the menu bar is hidden by default amongst most other useful items), I'm guessing Session Restore is also deplaced to improve "my F/F experience".
Can someone please tell me how to return to my unimproved experience as provided by F/F before version 24-ish particularly how to restore tabs?

PLEASE! I'm begging for help getting back my music!

Yesterday, my fiance burned some cd's for his new iPod into his own iTunes. No problem. At that time, my library was intact.
Today, I go into my library and ALL MY MUSIC IS GONE! When I go to my "music file" in Windows, it tells me my folder is empty. How the heck could that happen?!
Please, anyone. I still have the tunes on my iPod, but I had purchased some in the interim and now they appear to be lost.

You put photos onto your iPhone by syncing with iTunes.
On your computer create a master folder for photos. Inside that folder create subfolders. Each subfolder will become a photo album on your iPhone after you sync. Do not create any additional layers of subfolders inside the first level of subfolder.
Once you have the photo folders organized start iTunes on your computer and make sure you have iTunes 10.7 or later. iTunes 11.0.1 is the latest version. If you are running iTunes 11 start iTunes and use the View menu to View Sidebar.
Then connect your iPhone to your computer. In iTunes on your computer select your iPhone in the left sidebar. Then select photos in the larger right window. Under Photos navigate to your photo folder. You can select to sync all photos or select just the photo albums you want on the iPhone. Then click on Apply or Sync.
To remove these albums later do another sync but deselect the o longer wanted albums.

How to get back notes after the Note app updates

I erased everything off my Macbook Pro to clean it but i used TimeMachine to restore any wanted files and software. However, i can't find where my old notes would be. I've also updated to the latest operating system, which could affect things i'm guessing? Could someone please tell me how i can get my old notes back using TimeMachine or if there is a way at all now that i've update OS?

I had done a factory reset on my home laptop, a dell inspiron 15 3542......after the factory reset all my applications were erased.
I had earlier purchased an MS office 365 which does not come with an installation cd, just the product key to be entered in the office website, is there anyway I can still use my purchase? I had entered the product key but it said "your microsoft office
isnt connected to this account" when i was logged with the same account which i used to login to MS office. IS THERE ANY WAY?

I just changed the processor fan to my Athlon XP 2600+ and when doing this I rested my BIOS. Got everything working but when it started it my processing speed said it was 2000+. I have updated my BIOS and now is says the process speed is 1.25 KHz. I want to know if this right? I don’t want over clock but I want to run it at its top speed. I don’t know how to fix this. I have change some part is the BIOS and a lot of time I would get a dead computer that doesn’t start up and have to rest the CMOS by unplugging and taking out the battery.

I think it means Hard Ware recognition.
Suppose you have to check the CPU seating.
Power off and unplug the power cord (same goes when clearing CMOS).
Remove old grease, or if it was thermal pad.
Clean both the heat sink and the CPU. Use strong alcohol or oil free nail polish remover, aceton.
Make sure you know how the heat sink should be placed, so it doesn't get half way wrong.
When you have done so, apply a single drop of fresh thermal grease on the very die of the processor, when it is in place.
Seat the heat sink again, and don't rush things - make it good.

Help -Getting 404ErrorPage Message after loading second web site to .mac?

I've had an iweb (family) website working fine on .mac for several months. Yesterday, I built a second website and published it. At that time, I was asked to sign up since I had been doing the trial which had expired. I signed up.
Now, two things are happening. When I go to the family website, I'm getting a 404ErrorPage message. I can assess my second site OK. Also, I am not provide the option to publish to .mac for either site (it's grayed out). I know I am in active status with my .mac account. Any thoughts?

Its really up to you which way you want to do it, remember to give them different names and make back ups.
Having them both in one iWeb session is fine, although I personally dont trust myself not to delete something from the wrong one without realizing it!
If you only update one site occassionally, then you might find that you want separate domain files, that way you would only see the one that you are working with. To have multiple domains the are different options.
1. Create a second user on your Mac and run two seperate sessions of iWeb.
2. Use Domains Juggler from Cyclosaurus, a search on the forum should find it for you.
3. Swap out your domain files as and when you want to work on them, remember which is which!
To BACK UP your current domain file you can use this script from Cyclosaurus.
If you choose to use a second domain file, the easiest way to split out your sites, whichever route you take, is to make a copy of you domain.sites file. By the way this file lives here:
User / Library / Application Support / iWeb / domain.sites (You dont normally see the .sites extension)
You now have two copies, open one and delete the site that you dont want in this domain files, then save it.
Swap it out for your copy domain file and once again delete the site you dont want.
Good luck & dont forget to Back up your files before playing around with them!

Actually, I have the same problem. After a clean install of Mountain Lion only Garage Band and iMovie appear in my purchased list.
If I look for iPhoto, it appears as a regular application that I have to buy... again? Wasn't it included with iLife when I bought my computer?
