Help getting Elements 11 onto a new Laptop
Hi everyone - Im sure this is the basic of the basic but Im having issues getting Elements 11 onto my new Laptop.
I downloaded this onto my desktop about 8 months ago and having now upgraded to a laptop want to download to that too.
I naively thought I could download from the Adobe site easily enough (which I thought I did but setup.exe doesn't appear to actually do anything).
I have the code already captured ready to input into what Im guessing is a trail version download.
Am I missing something real obvious here?? Any thoughts gratefully received!!!

I have cs5 on my laptop. The laptop came with it installed. Now I am buying a new laptop but I don't have a disc to install it with (was told it wasn't needed when I bought the laptop). How do I get it over to my new laptop?

JenniHm, I'm not sure what licensing arrangement might be in effect for that... Do you have a Photoshop serial number?
If so, just download the software from the web and install it, and enter your serial number when prompted to provide it.
If it's Photoshop CS5, not CS5.1, it's not directly available any longer but there is a way you can still get it... This site describes how. Follow their instructions to the letter...

Like the thread topic says. I need help getting Aperture onto my new macbook pro that does not have a drive. I have no need for a drive after this to be honest just need my programs back on it. Thanks.
Two options:
Make a disk image or a clone of the installer CD on your Mac that has a super drive - you can create a disk image using Disk Utility or use Carbon Copy Cloner (if you have it) to clone the DVD to a thumbsdrive. Then run the installer on your MBY from this copy.
Or download the Trial Installer and install from there:
Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial. http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/Aperture/061-8328 .20101020.AprE3/ApertureTrial3.1.dmg
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Install the Aperture 3.4 update from the list of available updates.

How can I get my itunes onto my new laptop? Do I need to download itunes again or can I just copy it? My ipod classic has since been soaked in water and does not work so I cannot copy from there. Can anyone help?
You should copy everything from your old comptuer to your new one.

That is not necessarily true. You are allowed to make a back-up of media you own and, at least in the Netherlands, even a copy of a work you've borrowed from a library. The law expressly permits this and you pay a certain amount for recordable media to allow for home use. See http://www.thuiskopie.nl/nl for this. If you then decide to destroy the media, i.e. do not transfer the media to someone else, I don't see how you infringe copyright by keeping the back-up. But I guess some so-called creatives like the idea of making money in all kinds of hypothetical ways...
It is a nice dream, where you have to work once and then earn a lot of money by selling millions of copies from your work. But buyers can make copies too!! Hahahahahaha! -

i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it.
I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I have only managed to copy over some of my music as i had it on an external drive.
I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes.
HELPiTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder. Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure. In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"? The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone? The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced. You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

Yes. You are allowed to install PSE on two computers at once, but if you don't need it on the first computer anymore, go to editor>help>sign out to deactivate it and free up one of your activations for future use.

I used home sharing to get my music onto my new laptop, why is my music now jumpy and crackly?
I imported Itunes onto my new laptop, and wanted to get my music library over easily. I couldn't work out how, but found home sharing so used that. Now, on my new laptop, all my music is horrid quality and really crackly. It is not the laptop. Can anyone help please?
Check that you have the latest version of iTunes (12.1.1.4 ) - many users encountered playback issues with the immediately preceding version (12.1.0.71), many of which are addressed in 12.1.1.4.
Make sure you have the latest version of QuickTime (7.6.6) installed - if this is missing or out of date there may be no audio output from iTunes (including, but not limited to, playback through Bluetooth devices) or playback may be of poor quality.
Also check the Play Audio Using setting in Edit > Preferences > Playback (you will have to restart iTunes for any changes to take effect). In most cases selecting Direct Sound addresses playback issues when Windows Audio Session is active (though some users have reported the reverse),
If none of these solves your problem try installing this alternate version: iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards). The "for older video cards" label is a little misleading, as this also fixes some playback issues, QuickTime and Outlook interoperability errors, and problems with other third-party applications. -
I got a new laptop (Macbook Pro) and my IPhone is synced with my previous laptop (which I no longer have). I've recorded dozens of very long (un-emailable) Voice Memos over the last few weeks and need to get them from my IPhone onto my new laptop.
How do I do this?

All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." I fear that if I click this I will lose all of my important Voice Memos as well)Just to add to what ChrisJ4203 said. You can sync them to your new computer using iTunes by selecting to Include Voice Memos on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. However, you still need to re-establish syncing with the new computer without iTunes erasing all the iTunes media from your phone (as the warning mentioned).
If you copy your entire iTunes folder (not just your music) from your old computer to your new one, along with other non-iTunes media you may be syncing with iTunes (such as contacts, calendars and any photos synced to your phone from your old computer) by using migration assistant of following one of these methods: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527, then when you sync again with your new computer it will recognize your phone and sync as it did before. You will still have to authorize the new computer for any Apple IDs used to purchase from the iTunes and App stores (in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer).
After that you can sync your voice memos to your computer as mentioned earlier.
If you want to archive your voice memos before you do anything with iTunes, you can use a 3rd party program such as PhoneView or Touch Copy. -
I just downloaded itunes onto my new laptop and I am trying to burn songs onto a cd that I had purchased previously and I am getting an error message that states I must authorize this computer. What does that mean?
If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
