i have never used a laptop before in my life . i have just taken it out of the box . dont even know how to ON it .
what i am interested is that my manufacturing date printed on box is 25th april 2010 . i want to update all drivers ( audio / lan / windows OS ) everything before using .)
How do i do that ? i have a cable internet ( lan rj45 attached to my desktop computer ) . i can attach that wire to my laptop and have internet going . But only if i find how to ON it . and then how do i update the internal software and everything to make it BUG-FREE
Any Help Appreciated . Please be aware i dont know anything about IT and jargons , so simple language !
ALl i want it to make my laptop error free or bug - free so that it doesnt freeze or hang or give heating or battery problems and runs smoothly with good audio

Veriface is a software who recognice faces. You can associate a face to a Windows users. This is helpfull if you want to start session puttin your face in front of your laptop.
You can start the webcam using the Fn + key assined combination.
Read the manual.

I just got a new laptop and when i went to go and buy something, it asked for some security question answers cause this was my first time buying on this computer. When i went to go type in the (so what I thought) correct answers, it said they were wrong. After numerous tries, it disabled my account. How do I get the answers sent to my email so i can start using my itunes again?

I have purchased actual ringtones from the ITunes store. They were working fine on my Iphone 3 before, but I got a new laptop and the new version of ITunes, and now even though they are listed as ring tones on my ITunes, they will not transfer to my Iphone. (Please do not tell me they are songs and not ring tones, they are definitely RING TONES!) Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
Use the Transfer Purchases command in the File menu of iTunes.

My old laptop crashed, and took my iTunes account with it. I got a new laptop, and want to sync my iTouch to iTunes. It gives me an error message stating that I can't sync to multiple iTunes accounts, but I can't access my old one!
How can I get my new iTunes account to allow me to Sync my iTouch? The only option it gives me is to "transfer purchases" from my iTouch to iTunes, but that is only about 25% of my iTunes library-most of it is CDs I have uploaded. How can I Sync without losing all my music from my iTouch???
Also, I have lectures and photos, etc. on my iTouch that I don't want to lose.
I've tried a few of the iPod copy programs-the free ones and the ones you have to pay for, but I can't find one that will work for ALL my content on an iTouch.
Right now, I can't get anything from my iTouch to iTunes, and I can't update my iTouch with my new iTunes purchases, so I'm stuck! Help!Also-I tried to use my backup hard drive, but I wasn't able to drag/transfer/send/move any of my muic files onto my iTouch when the iTouch was connected to my computer. I can't figure out why it won't let me do that.
The only thing I can see when I open my iTouch on my computer is my file with photos. I can't see videos, music, or anything else. What's going on? -
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone can help me. I recently got my first ever Ipod. It's the new Ipod Nano 7th Generation. I have tried to synchronise it with Itunes but it says "Connected, Eject before Disconnecting" but nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling & re-installing Itunes but this didnt help.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your help.I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos. It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again. Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen. In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device). Under Settings, click on Music. To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music. That turns ON automatic syncing for music. Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod). Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below. Then click Apply. -

I had all photos on a Windows desktop. Got a mac laptop, installed LR5, and put all images from Windows onto an external hard drive. When I go to import them into LR on the mac, they are all locked. Help, please!

Yes, that's exactly what happened. If you buy another drive, you could copy from your existing drive to the new and your files will be read/write. The new drive will have to be formatted as an HFS drive (that's the Mac's format). If you need to format it, you use Disk Utility which is in the Utilities folder on your Mac. Be careful with that -- it wipes out whatever is currently on the drive. Make sure you format the right drive.
I keep all my images on an external drive, too. In fact, I have two matching drives and sync them so I always have a backup. -
I am new to Adobe Premium Production and new to buying my first laptop for editing. Can anyone give me piece of mind by telling me if this systems specs should work well with Adobe? I know the specs say 7200 rpm Hard Drive but can I buy an external HD that runs 7200rpm and be ok if neccessary?

You might want to take a look at the SAGER laptops, before you sign on the dotted line.
I'm into about 18 mos.on mine now and love it for SD-only work. Yes, I do most of my work on the workstation, but for a lot of it, the laptop is just fine.
Though they build more for gaming, the bigger units handle NLE work. I really liked that I could get 3x 200GB-7200RPM SATA II's. They probably offer larger internal HDD's now, but 200GB was the max then. I also got the separate nVidia 8800M graphics unit, and love the results. I was able to get 4GB RAM and XP-Pro SP2, where everyone else demanded that I take Vista, at a time that I did not want it. There was also NO "bloatware" to clean off. The system comes with just the OS and drivers (OK, I did add Office), but even the utilities have to be installed from the DVD. This can save many days of cleanup.
Only problem that I had was with the multi-drive, and they replaced my defective one with an Optiarc in 3 days, plus paid shipping both ways. Based on that, I'd give their service department a 100%.
They are not cheap, but are extremely well-built and offer more than I could find elsewhere.

It is too late to backup now, the disc is already malfunctioning.
Backup is what you do before things break.
Take it in and hope that something can be recovered, don't be surprised if it can't. -

Email itunes support! Or you could just transfer your purchases. Either w/ external drive, or w/ you iphone/ipod/ipad!

it has been into recovery mode. connecting to itunes will solve your problem. if it didnt work connect it itunes and restore your iphone.

I just got my new HP laptop, also my first laptop. I'm wondering how many hours i need to charge for the first time, to keep the battery backing up for 3 hours or more.

Help transferring songs from laptop to laptop
i just got a new laptop and i want to transfer all my songs from my other laptop. and when i plug in my ipod to my new computer it deletes them all. anyone know how i can switch all the songs?

It appears that your iPod is set to update automatically and you keep pressing "Yes" when get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc. All you are doing is linking your iPod to the blank iTunes. You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. So first off, connect your iPod to the original laptop and let it put your songs back on, then change it to manual update: Managing Your Songs Manually
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.
Now there a re a few things you can do. One would be to connect your iPod to the new laptop (now that it's safe to do so) and copy the songs from it onto the hard drive There is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

I resently purchased an ipad and i think i could help. Does it look like a plug and itunes? Thats what came up on mine. Try pluging it into your laptop and go on itunes. They say the new ipad with ios5, you dont need your computer, then i cant help you there. But go to an apple store they are very helpful. They helped me recently and they are very nice.
