HELP! GTX 560Ti MPE?

Hello Guys first post. I'm a noob with grahpics card and have a two question,
If I buy the GTX 560Ti will I be able to use MPE with adobe premeire pro cs5.5? Also, will this card run smoothly with After Effects Cs6
Thanks!

What's not listed is not officially supported for the respective feature, meaning GPU raytracing or MPE. It's as easy as that. Otherwise any card will satisfy the normal requirements of both programs.

    -8GB DDR3 1600mhz G skill memory
-Corsir force 3 120GB SSD harddrive
    -3x sata 2 harddrives

In Afterburner i can see the temp running ok just above 40c so that seems ok so im not sure whats up with it.
I got this just in time for xmas and i can't play with it  :(
    please help!

I was afraid of that. means i will have to buy a new PSU then. I'm looking at these..

I'm thinking of getting the 850w one because it only costs a little more and will be future proof.
    What would be your recommendation?
wish i could test tho before buying but i don't have any other PSU's and don't know any one that does have a good one to use.

  • [solved] MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti

Ok, I'm sorry to make my debut on this forum a cry for help, but here it goes.
Just bought a MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti as my old card said goodbye with flickering colors and Code 43 error.
Uninstalled the old drivers, removed the old card, slotted in the new one, powered up and was hoping for the best. The result? Nothing.
Nothing but beeps from the BIOS (2+8), and a screen who wont react at all. Just goes off in to power saving mode.
    Any ideas?
EDIT: I'm so stupid, I should have been required to carry a license. Problem solved by myself.

  • MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti "Twin Frozr II" crash at 50 degrees Celsius

I get artifacts (pink squares all over screen) in heaven benchmark, fluid benchmark and gta 4,  a few seconds  later I get a black screen and then an error message there windows tell me the driver has crash but praise msi it was successfully recovered. All this then the card is nearing 50 degrees Celsius.
    I have:
MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti "Twin Frozr II", (BIOS: 70.24.0a.00.00)
    Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, Socket-AM3
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

    Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9
    Windows 7 64bit (with sp1)
    DC OUTPUT    +3.3V +5V  +12V -12V  +5Vsb
    MAX LOAD    24A    30A  52A   0.8A   3A
I tested driver on msi site and the latest nvidia driver, even tested some beta driver. All give the same result as stated above. I also tested to set the clocks at reference speed but no go. Also tested voltage at 1025.

Got a new card today, same card but new.
No problems now, seem the new card has newer bios and lower  core voltage. Maybe that is a way to fix it, just upgrade bios.

  • GTX 560Ti Blank Screen on Boot

    Hello guys,
I purchased a MSI GTX 560Ti (Twin Frozr-II edition) 5 months back. Recently, when booting...I kept getting a "No Signal" message from the monitor. There was activity on the PC , it managed to get past the POST (beep sound) and eventually I did hear the Windows 7 login music. But the screen was still black.
After restarting the PC a couple of times, I managed to get normal display again. Shut down the PC after around 4 hours of gaming , but on the next boot I had the same black screen issue. Again , a couple of reboots later - the monitor managed to get the signal.
I even plugged the card into my friend's PC , but the same black screen problem was there too. Just for testing , I tried plugging my old Geforce 9600 GT and I got normal display on the monitor.
Well, it pretty much continued in this fashion for around 2 weeks , then the card absolutely refused to give any signal to the monitor despite countless restarts. I took the card for RMA to the service centre , and when the technician plugged it into his motherboard, the card was running fine!
Brought the card back home and plugged it into my mobo , and behold...normal display! Well, it didn't last long because the motherboard died 2 hours later.
I've given the motherboard for RMA, but I'm still concerned about the card. It was malfunctioning on my PC , didn't work on my friend's PC (the card was fully powered mind you) , but then decided to work at the RMA centre. What could possibly be wrong with it?
    Here's my config :
    Intel Core2Quad Q6600 (2.4 ghz)
    ABIT IP-35E Motherboard
    5GB DDR2 800 Ram
MSI GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II
    Corsair VX450W
    1x250 GB HDD , 1x200 GB HDD
    Windows 7 Ultimate Edition
I was told that the VX450W was capable of powering the GPU (and it did quite well...for 5 months). Btw , my friend's PC was running a slightly identical configuration. He had a Corsair VX450W as well.
I'm not sure if the problem is in the card itself or something else. Just to be on the safer side, I'm also going for a PSU upgrade (Corsair TX750W) when my motherboard returns from RMA.

Personally, I prefer to have a PSU with an extra 5 or 6 amps to spare on the +12v rail.  The VX450 only can deliver 33A and the recommendations for a system with a 560Ti is 31A(probably a system with 2 sticks ram, ONE HDD, and one ODD).  2 extra amps is cutting it a tad close in my book.  And remember, any overclock, CPU and/or the GPU will increase the number of amps needed.  The TX 750 should serve very well.

  • OC gtx 560ti to 1ghz

hey i've been trying to OC my msi gtx 560ti in SLI to both at 1ghz but unable to do so I can only clock 970mhz @ the max voltage using msi afterburner and ppl is able to use the same card n get to 1ghz at a lower voltage hw do they do so???? here a video of the OC results.. can ur tell me how am i able to get it to 1ghz at the same voltage

It's the good old question why certain CPUs and GPUs clock more than other's ?
Even though the parts are the same, they will never be identical. The silicon composition inside the CPU/GPU is unique and thus there will always be differences.
The manufacturere will sell an overclocked product at a setting that gurantees stable operation. Beyond that is the luck of the draw. Some guys get 5 GHz out of their i7 CPUs, others get 4,8GHz. Same settings/voltages.
There comes a point where no amount of voltage will allow a further increase in clockspeed. So we cannot answer your question.  30MHz will probably not even make a visible difference.
It's that magical barrier of 1000MHz thats worrying you. Accept your stable 970.

  • MSI GTX 560Ti TWIN FROZR II 1GB GDDR5

Currently I'm experiencing a problem where no matter what I'm doing, whether it is gaming or browsing, green/orange chequered squares appear exactly as in the picture below:
The problem lasts for a matter of seconds and then windows informs me that the drivers have recovered from a failure. This is very remininsant, but not identical, to when I had a 9800GT that died. This issue has only started within the last month and the card is over 6 months old. Is this likely to be a GPU issue?

    Seagate ST3500418AS 500GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM
    Thermaltake 500W PSU

Sadly I've no way of testing the card in another PC or a different PSU.
What is the likelihood that it is the PSU even though the card has been performing flawlessly for almost a year? Also I could understand if it was causing artifacts just when gaming due to power load, but it happened when I was merely surfing the net, where power draw doesn't even reach 300W.
Is a known solution to this issue an increase in Watts or is there a chance that it is a problem with the GPU?

  • MSI nVidia GTX 560ti Twin frozr III loss of output

    Hi folks,
I recently needed my monitor to test another rig and upon plugging it back in I discovered my MSI nVidia GTX 560ti Twin frozr III no longer has video output, I have tried different outputs, different cables, different displays and different motherboard slots to no avail. Had a search around and couldn't find any other instances of this. The card is 2 years old now but has always functioned perfectly (apart from the well publicised memory temperature problem). Any ideas what might be causing this issue?
    Regards,
    hotrats

MSI nVidia GTX 560ti Twin frozr III
    Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3
    Thermatake 750W Evo_blue 2.0
I'm assuming drives and case aren't the issue so not listing them.

The card is 2 years old, but how long wasn't it used for and did you ever had any problems with it?
First of all, I would reset CMOS >>Clear CMOS Guide<< so all the OC is removed (write down settings of CPU OC if you want to use it later on).
Then (I don't know Asus boards) would look through the BIOS if it recognises the card. Possible you should get rid of the possible dust in PCIe slot?
Also: while card is plugged in, run computer and: try all the video ports, even those on motherboard (maybe board doesn't recognise the card and wants to run integrated gpu if there is any).
Last but not least: ask a friend/colleague if you can test your card in their computer. Best if it would be different brand of motherboard, and power supply. Possibly power supply is screwed up somewhere (broken connection)and doesn't deliver enough power to give output.
Does the card start up when you run the PC (fans of the card)?

  • GTX 560Ti Hawk high temperature and noise

First of all I want to say "Hi" because this is my first post here!
Second, I have problems with my GTX 560Ti Hawk! The problems are high temperature and very loud fans! I bought this card less than a month ago and it didn't work properly from the first day but I wanted to give it a chance so I kept it for a while so I could monitor symptoms. I haven't even tried to OC it. I monitored it the way it came from the box.
In idle card doesn't go over 40°C which is fine by me considering the weather but when I play games it goes all the way to 85°C and it's loud as jet taking off! It's is pretty much intolerable to be near this card when playing games! This product is advertised to be very cold and very silent but now that isn't the case. What bothers me most is that the card was running on open bench table which has very good air cooling ( I made it myself and decreased ~10°C compared to my case). That means that my Hawk would have burned if tested inside the case, or it would fly away!! :D
Everything is good until card hits 76°C - that's tolerable temperature and the card is still silent, but when it hits 76°C and goes up, all hell breaks loose!
Card doesn't crash and it runs perfectly (got performance increase ~30% from my GTX 460) but way higher temperatures and noise above advertised makes me wanting to crash it with a sledgehammer! :D
I RMA it today and waiting for answer which should arrive in two weeks tops (quick when taking money but very slow when support is needed)
I wanted to ask if RMA is even possible when card isn't crashing??? I RMA cards with similar problems before with no problems but that was Gigabyte - not sure what can I expect with MSI because this is my first MSI product since 2003. RMA should be possible because card has failed to fulfill expectations which are guarantied by MSI...
If they refuse to send another card or return the money, what should I do???

    Good Day ...
I have had my pc for around a month now and have noticed that while folding and gaming ... I am hitting between 75 and 87 degrees with the fan profile never going lower than 80% ...
    My question is ...
Are these temps still in a safe range and if I change cooling will it void warranty ?? ... (looking at the Arctic Extreme 2)
Also ... What is that little switch and 3 pin connector on the top of the card ...

Temps listed are in safe range, if you change the cooling yes this will void the warranty.
You can try to reapply GPU's thermal paste and to retest, also ensure that you have enough room inside PC case along with good and enough airflow.

It is switching between 2 different vBIOSes, one is performance one and other is silent one.
    It's related to FAN behavior

  • MSI GTX 560Ti Hawk SLI not available

I have 2 MSI GTX 560Ti Hawk and when I go into Nvidia control panel SLI is not available as an option.
Both cards are visible and working properly in both the Device manager and the Nvidia control panel and the bridge is installed between the cards.
I am using Nvidia driver 285.62 which I have completely removed and reinstalled to try and solve the problem.
The only strange thing I noticed when installing the cards is that there is a small switch next to the SLI bridge that is marked Performance and Silent. When I opened the boxes one card had the switch was set to performance and the other was set to silent. Looking on the net I found that this was how aggressive the fan control was so I set them both to silent. After running into the problem of no SLI I also tried shutting down the machine and moving both switches to Performance but this didn't fix the issue.
Motherboard is a MSI Z68A-GD65 and Live update 5 says its up to date.
Any pointer on where to look would be appreciated.

K  problem sort of solved. I installed an old nvidia driver 270.61 and it works perfectly. Guess I'll just use the old drive until a game is giving me major issues and then see if a new drive is safe.
