Help! Having an email nightmare

I'm having a complete nightmare today since finally updating my software on my Macbook Pro, iphone6 and iPad (original) Now the email (hotmail.com) won't work on any of them!
Please can you help?
The problem seems to be different on each device. Firstly hotmail has never worked for me via safari. If I sign in via the internet safari button I get to an empty inbox. I've no idea why. I have not switched on 2 stage security if that's relevant?
At the moment I can't send emails from this laptop even if I use the mail button. This is new, ever since I updated the software. I get an error message "Cannot send message via the server SMTP.live"
On my iPhone I can access my mail except my inbox is empty.
I've never been able to access email on my iPad, no matter how much I have altered the settings.
Please can someone help? I need to access emails on my phone for work.

After struggling with this for several hours I think I've found a solution. I reset network settings on the iPhone and iPad, prevented any of the outgoing servers from being the only server and did something (can't remember what!) with iCloud.
I wonder if part of the problem is that when you reset a password on hotmail it takes a while for the server to update your information? I had a blizzard of wrong password error messages on all 3 devices for a couple of hours after changing my password but now they finally work.

I need help with an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2

I’m having an email WiFi sending problem on my iPad 2     Model: MC774C/A; IOS VERSION: 6.1.3 (10B329).
While I use 4 email accounts on the iPad -- Hotmail, Gmail, iCloud and ns.sympatico.ca ( a division of BellAliant) – the sending difficulty only relates to the ns.sympatico.ca. The settings for this account are:         pop.bellaliant.net            and      smtp.bellaliant.net
I first noticed the problem about 3 weeks ago while travelling across the country (Canada). (I do recall about that time there was an update of my IOS and I also for my wife purchased from the Bell store an iPhone which shares my Apple account.) Prior to that everything worked well for a couple of years.
I noticed earlier this month that the iPad received mail fine but would not send at night using the motels’ WiFi. During the day, using my 3G account, all worked fine. I phoned Bell but was told that my experience was normal so I thought no more about it until I returned home and found the same problem at the house. I called Bell again and worked for 2 hours with 3 Bell technicians who succeeded in getting the iPad to neither send nor receive and gave up advising me to take the iPad into a Bell store to have it looked at. I did that and the young technician got the iPad sending and receiving by changing the        smtp.bellaliant.net      to         mail.1xbell.ca
However, when I returned home again, I realized that it was working on my 3G and still doesn’t send on my WiFi
I’m looking for any suggestions that might solve this annoying problem?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I have seen loads of sites which shows on their contact us
page several boxes to subit questions to the site owners. The boxes
are usually email address, question and a submit button. How can i
set up these boxes so that peoples questions are forwarded to my
email address. I already have a template but have no idea how to
set it up. Any help would be grateful

You would need an HTML form, which people fill out and
submit.
There are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
email client
responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
send the
visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2a is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
problems of
method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
Method 2b would be to use some third-party form processing,
like

You would have to decide which of these methods is best for
your needs,
but if it's Method 2a, then start by asking your host what
they provide for

Having trouble emailing photos from iphoto

I am having problems emailing my iphotos directly from iphotos on my Mac pro 10.7.2 Lion. I keep getting a message that says email server does not recognize username/password combination. I checked and rechecked everything. I even emailed from the mail icon to make sure my email was set up correctly and my email was sent with no problem. Please help!

We have a Sharepoint 2010 site that has been using Microsoft's ticketing system for years. What I need to confirm is if there is a way to email the sharepoint list and have it create a ticket (parsing the from address, subject and body then creating a ticket
from that and sending a confirmation email reply to the user).
I understand there may be some coding needed, but don't know where to start without having to start over and lose our years of lists / data. Can someone please help provide information or at the very least a starting point for me?

I called
out to this code from an ItemAdded Event Receiver on the library to parse the email metadata.
It's also possible to email enable Libraries and receive items emailed straight to the library. There's a special event receiver available for that which helps you parse email metadata. (But I couldn't receive email directly from my project so I didn't use

People sending me email are having their email returned as spam

I have been trying to rid my computer of spam emails. Now, however, some people that I need to receive emails from are having their emails returned because their emails are being blocked as Spam. How do I correct this?

This is due to the settings in your email or your antivirus program. You most likely have the Privacy setting too restrictive. Check these settings. If you are using IE, you can find the settings in the gear at the top right of the browser.

Me too. I try to verify and i get the same message.
I've created 3 alternate e-mail addresses and tried creating new accounts.

last year i applied to be on bt basic , the cheap one for if your on income support etc , it was excepted as far as i know but i have realized i was never put on it or if i was it wasn't for very long .
the only thing i can think is i was not aloud to have o2 broad band on the basic tariff , anyone know if thats the case ?
in the info about "basic " which is about £5 a month it says you can have broad band but this may mean only bt broadband ,
any ideas ?

Help needed in email address validation !

I am developing a web page in which there is a text box and a submit buttion. User enters his email id and clicks the button. As soon as the button is clicked, the email- address validation should be done.
some thing like,
only one @ shold be there,
the address should terminate with .net, .com, .org.....
there should not be any special characters like / , ?, < > \ etc..;
It should be in JSP or JAVA Script

Help BB 9330 email wont activate

transferred old BB phone number to new BB phone and used switch devices to transfer information.
Cant get my email accounts working / activated. Sees the email accounts under setup - current - but activate button does nothing after I enter all passwords in. Verify comes back with "Sorry unable to continue your session. Please log in again"

I am having problems emailing more than one photo at a time - please help!

I would be very grateful if anyone can help. I have recently upgraded my old PowerBook G4 to Leopard 10.5.8, and since the upgrade I can't seem to send more than one image from iphoto at a time via mail. When I try, I get the message: " mail got an error: can't get paragraph 8 of content of outgoing message id 113491328. Invalid index." As I email a lot of images, it is a real pain only being able to send them one at a time. Can anyone help? With many, many thanks, Josh.

It could have something to do with the sizes of the images you're trying to send.
In the updated iPhoto, there's a selection for the size of the image. Try attaching the smallest size and see if that works for you.
