Help! Having trouble with camera app after update to iOS 5.1.1

I'm having a big problem with my Itouch. I've never jailbroken it or any of that crap. Here's the deal. I just updated to 5.1.1 and I tried to record a video but whenever I press the record button it starts recording but can't press it again to make stop. So, press the menu button then I tried going back to the camera app then I hit record now this time it just freezes!!!!!

My IPhone 5 camera is locked after the new update!

Hi guys I know what u mean. This is ridiculous about paying them money for technical support when there is problem from apple side not from us. No wonder there share price is going down and Samsung is taking our the Apple. If its gonna carry on like this then I won't be surprise apple will be in category with Nokia n blackberry. All I can suggest is if your phone is still under apple 1year warranty them make an Genius Bar appointment take to to apple store. Hopefully they will solve this issue but then again there is nothing wrong with our iPhones it's the bloody iOS 6.1 update which has got bugs that drains the battery out. My second suggestion is we should scrap the crap apple and move to android if apple not willing to solve our issues.

I used BSNL - India previously. After I get problem, I used Mobily -Saudi Arabia again I got problem and I am trying to use Airtel - India.

Anybody having trouble with their iPhone after updating to 4.3.2? My phone is slow to react when I try to get out of an app, or it actually locks up.

After updating to 4.3.2 my phone is either sluggish when changing apps or non-responsive. I have tried sync'ing and turning the phone off and on, doesn't make any difference.

Have you tried a hard reset?
Hold the power and home button at the same
Wait until the screen goes black and the white Apple logo comes up on the screen.
DO NOT release the buttons until the white Apple logo comes up on the screen.

If you are having issues with your iPad's funcionality being reduced, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPad -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad to factory settings -
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

The phone supported some MP4 videos in the previous version 5.92 .. But I updated my phone to Version 07.42. Now I can't play any MP4 Videos... Plzzz tell me how to fix this problem.....

@Abhirit, the software update removed the support for MP4 files due to the phone freezing while playing most of the MP4 files.
As it is completely impossible to downgrade the OS on these S40 phones, you are left with no option other than bearing it up. You cannot play MP4 videos on your phone anymore.

Hello guys, i have a iphone 4S runnig ios 5.1.1 today
i updated him to the last version wich is ios 6.1
before that i did a back up using the itunes.
so far so good i did the update via itunes..
and then i choose to restore mine informantion from the back up that i did earlier..
the back up succes all my photos, apps and wahtever came back to the phone, and one problom with it...
after the back up, on the settings app i have on the right top corner a red icon with the number "1"
wich tell me that i have a update or notficition.. whan i go to setting to see what is about
i cant fing anything, the phone is updated to the last version..
how can i delete the annoying red simble from my settins app??
please help me

To solve the contacts problems try to create a "dummy" new contact. I have created new contact in the phone and all contacts appeared. Seems like the contacts app problem.
Not sure about messages and other stuff..

HT3529 Is anyone having trouble with their iMessage since updating to iOS 6?

Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 6 I have had trouble getting my iMessages to work. I have wifi signal but when I try to send an iMessage it will not send and I cannot recieve any either. I didn't have any trouble before I updated my OS. Does anyone have any idea's on how I can fix this? I've tried resetting my phone and removing and readding my email address in the Settings; General; Messages; Send & Recieve. That worked for a few hours then it stoped working again.
I am stationed in Africa right now and I would use it all the time to stay in contact with my family back home.

I have this same problem....was hoping maybe it was just my music library today so I could listen to some music but it happens with pandora too ..... Sure hope they send a fix quickly!

Hello guys, I got a terrible trouble with 3G network after updateing to IOS 5.1.1. Now when I turn on my cellular data, the iPad 2 can say the carrier and 3G on the left top. But when I tap the Safari, it turns to be:"PDP authentication failure". I did the update to 5.1.1 last night, before that every thing is fine, and now I can't use my 3G at all.
Could anyone please tell me what's happing and what should I do???

Hi Miky. After upgrading to ios 5.1 I had the same problem.
I reset the APN on network settings and rewriting the same. iPad now working on 3G.
My operator is 3 ITA

I have been on the phone twice today with my carrier. They reset it the first time, it worked for an hour then messed up again. They reset it a SECOND time.. It worked for 6 hours, then messed up again. I don't know if this is a software issue or what but if ANYONE has any insight, I would appreciate it greatly.

I'm having the exact same problem. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what is causing it, but I can tell you what it isn't(at least in my case). I made an in app purchase yesterday using a MasterCard I had linked to my account with no problems. This morning, my card from my new bank came in so I switched it over(American Express), and all of a sudden can't make IAP. I thought maybe there was an issue with the card, so I tried it out on a .99 app, and it worked no problem. So I got with tech support and they had me reset all of my phone settings -_-, then my network settings. No change. I tried restarting the phone obviously, closing the App and trying again, no luck. They suggested I call my bank and make sure the address I had on file for the card matched what I supplied for my Apple account, and that didn't fix it either. I tried IAP on two different apps and it was the same, could not connect to App Store error. I'm still trying to figure it out, and I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope I at least save you some trouble of trying these things. If I find anything out I'll let you know.

If you are saying that after signing into iCloud it is telling you device is not found, it could be for any number of reasons. If the battery is dead, if the SIM has been removed, or if someone else has the phone and they have restored it, it will not be shown. Also, if you located it once and then sent a remote wipe, it disables the abililty to locate the phone with Find My iPhone.
