HELP HELP!!! Needed help for system recovery

I have a satellite A505-S6035
I made the restoration disk and made a system restoration using that DVD's one year back to make a new partition and everything went fine.but today my system crashed and I tried to restore from HDD ,by pressing zero on the start up and it wont.I work tried the DVD and it boots...but it staying long time saying copying files......I think some problem on the DVD as I felt some noise from the CD drive that cannot read properly.I removed this HDD and connedted externaly with another PC and realized that c:\\ already formated and some files has been copied there. D:\\ have no problem and all my datas are there.i found another partiton too for the recovery @ 2GB but i coudn recover from
what i should do in this situation ..pls help

Just a few thoughts: Did you cut all power to your computer [include battery and ac] prior to trying to restore, and try toggling zero key when turning on to restore. If this doesn't get computer and/or HDD restore to operate, is other machine you used to read HDD compatable; could you restore HDD on other machine if needed, then try in this one?

If you want to look for that on eBay, look for the recovery discs for the model above. I doubt you'll find them there.
You can order them from Toshiba, of course.

Help! Had to do System Recovery & Now Files are all screwed up!

3 days ago my computer got a Virus & deleted almost everything off my computer. I had to do a System Recovery to Recover my files. I have a 80GB Video Ipod. I had my Itunes Library Very organized the way I wanted it. Now when I go to my Library, my Music is still there but all the Song Names & Artist Names.. etc.. are all screwed up. My Ipod has my Music files the way i Want them to be organized. How do i Transfer my Files From My Ipod to My Itunes Library without it syncing & adding the Unorganized files to my ipod?

Now, itunes will allow me to link my ipod to download songs, but some of my purchases, it will not recognize.
try playing one of the purchases in itunes for a few seconds. do you get asked to authorise the PC? if so, and if you do, will the purchases transfer to the ipod afterwards?

tar on Metalink for about two weeks, and after research from
their end has resulted in no help.
THE ISSUES (so far):

If an anchor [A HREF=...] tag uses an image as it's "text", I
need to strip out the ALT= text to show inside the anchor. If no
ALT text is available, then I would like to show the image name
as a default.
For example:

How do I get the resulting page from a form (which include the
login inputs and submit button, search box, advanced search page,
etc.) to be displayed by the text only page?

When a form is called, the <FORM> elements are as follows:

In this case, the action value is:
ACTION=/servlet/page?

I would expect that to redirect the browser back to some

What happens when portal pages redirect internally? How do you
get back to the text-only page?
For example:
The login link on the standard Oracle Portal home page flips

TRIED SO FAR:

I've written a socket/text scraper in Perl, running it from a web
server. The problems mentioned above are really causing problems,
plus the whole cookie thing. Since Oracle Portal tries to push a
cookie to the client, when the client is another UNIX server,
the cookie thing doesn't work.

strip out the HTML calls.

Use Find/Change and the GREP tab.
Search for .+ and set the Find formatting to find the charcteristics you want.
What will you do with this text once found? You'll need something to "change" to, either new text or Change Formatting options...

Help. Need code for string verification

I am trying to create a swing program that will verify a string then move a directory from a CD to the users hard drive. I have tried many different combinations of code with no success. I simply need a window with a text pane and a button that when clicked copies the content of the windows clipboard into the text pane, then compares it to a predefined string, then moves a directory from a CD to the harddrive.
It seems very simple but I am new to java, with alot of c++ experiance, and I cant seem to get it to work. If someone could help me out here it would be much apprecaited. Thank you and sorry if I am not using the correct terminology, I tried to be as clear as possible.

Here is the code: I just decided to make it command line instead of a GUI; I had too many problems.

Hi and welcome to the forum R-707!
*60 series never came with camera, lenovo started camera option with *61 series, what this means is that your system doesn't have integrated camera...

Please help I need driver for HP2540 for Mac OSX 10.5.8

I just purchased the HP 2540 deskjet and tried to install drivers but it seems that the CD only supports OSX 10.6 and up??? I cannot get printer to print anything so can anyone send me a link to the correct driver for me for OSX 10.5 or is there just no driver available?

Sorry, but 10.5 has been officially unsupported by both Apple and HP for over a year, maybe two (I lost track).
You could try to substitute another driver from another HP model, but its a guessing game.
Update your driver set here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/HP_Printer_Driver_1_1_1 Restart your Mac after you install this.
It may be time to move on from 10.5.

I finally got the part from HP; the problem is that they expect a return, defective part when you order this (under warranty) so the part is restricted from sale on the retail side... as they explained to me!
The part numbers they used to order the parts ("brick" and a separate cord) are as follows:
Note: the "cord" is a typical PC power cord; if you have a spare one dont spend bother spending the extra $23.( I found three of them in my old parts box after i paid for one from HP...go figure)

I bought a Zen Vision : M some days ago. It won't charge. I?have WinXP,Service Pack and WMP0. I got GOOD on everything on MyZenChecker. I use the USB at the back. I've also tried with a USB charger which I put into the wall, but that didn't work either. I tried fix2, but I didn't get everything on how to get it work.
I download it. Double click the .bat file. It comes a black route. It's written that it was succesful. Then after that what should I do in details, please ?
I tried to restart the computer right after getting successful on the .bat file with the Zen connected. Nothing happens after I turn it on again. No blue light or anything. The computer can't detect it. Am i supposed to connect the Zen after restart ? Should it come a blue light right after restart or should I let charge for 5+ hours without the blue light and then connect it again to get blue light.
Please tell me what to do in details step by step. Thx

you shd connect it and reboot your PC. the myzenusb.bat is to amend your open up your USB permission. no blue LED light flashing means its not charging. I suggest you exchange this with your retailer since you just bought it

Help - I need help to know what format is best for FCE

I have a lot a various videos to convert for FCE. I have generally just converted them to MOV h.264 (these are not HD) and use these in FCE.
The problem is the video and audio all has to be rendered. Also if I want to add an audio filter I can't listen to it in Real time as it has to be re-rendered.
I am growing tired of watching the progress bar creep along.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sorry I should have mentioned it.
All for NSTC and the original is a recording done by GoToMeeting. It is a Windows Video Media Standard 9.
Usually I have to then play it and capture it as we don't want the full screen. I capture it with Snap Pro X, The result of that is an Apple Animation Millions IMA 4:1. with FPS of 10.
I then bring that in to FCE and put in Sequence and Render it. Can't do anything with the audio as it has to re-render it before I can hear it. After Render is has light blue lines above. After editing, it's exported as Flash FLV for the web. THe end size must be 720 pixels wide,
I have MPEG Streamclip but it has so many options, not sure what to use.
I have looked all over for something that talks about formats to use and have found nothing as they all seem to think the original Video is being imported from a camera.

I logged in to my mid 2012 13" MacBookPro with Latest OSX Mavericks and my dock only appears if i click down on the bottom of my screen (I hide my dock so that it only comes up when I hover over where it would be) and when I do get the dock open if I hover over anything it doesnt give the name of it! After playing with this problem for a while I have concluded that wheneverer I hover over something it doesnt appear available the click on e.g. when I click on file on safari none of the options appear blue and available to click. This also makes it impossible to play video games becaues i have to hold down left click to move.
PLEASE HELP ME!!

Open the Terminal in your Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following lines separately:
killall Dock
killall Finder
Press RETURN after each line. The Dock will automatically restart itself. See if that helps.
If it doesn't help then do this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall Mountain Lion or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
