HELP HEP! I am trying to undelete a folder
I just deleted a folder by accident while travelling
I have a back-up of it on another computer which is in a locked house that I will not get to until the end of April
I have read the data recover II documentation on-line and I could download a demo of it to try to recover my file BUT there are no other computers nearby for me to use as the base and I don't have time to order their bootable CD.
Is there any way that I can download the disk image and then burn it as a program and make a bootable CD so that I could use that? I have my original program CDs from Mac as well.

#1) you can't do ANYTHING on the system, NOTHING AT ALL. Any web browsing, downloading, email, using programs (because they use memory... and the hard drive for memory) can erase what is left of your files.
#2) once you delete the trash ALL information for the file are lost forever. You can use a recovery tool but that will just give you parts of the file and thousands (sometimes 10s of thousands) of files that you will have to sort thru in order to find what you need.
#3) you need to work from another computer no matter what approach you take.
Breaking into the house would be much easier.

When i try to send email from my ipad i get the message The recipient "£)()&&£)" was rejected by the server. This has only just started to happen and I don't know why. Please can someone help. I have tried lots of things now and cannot solve it.
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -

Lightroom 4.4 keeps crashing saying "Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit" please help. I've tried reinstalling it and everything Windows 8.1
I assume you know where your catalogue file (the lrcat file) is located. In the same folder is a previews lrdata folder which you should delete or rename in Explorer, then start LR again.
If I've made incorrect assumptions above, sorry, and we'll go back over it from the start.

I had my vaio serviced and now I have had to download itunes again. After having done so, I no longer am able to see my old playlists on itunes though they are there on my phone.
I would like to view my old playlists & add new music on them. I keep my phone pretty organised & now to not see the music & playlists I already have on there on itunes is irritating me.
My first time here on the Support Communities.. I hope I am able to find my way around.

I have updated my phone to 4.3.3 and I was told there would be more bells and whistles. I haven't found more texting sounds. Have I updated my phone wrong or just not completed it all the way? Please help me. Still trying to figure this iphone 3G out.
You have the iPhone 3GS, not the 3G. The last update to support the iPhone 3G is 4.2.1.
iOS 4.3.3 includes bug fixes etc. There is nothing really special about this update that wasn't introduced in iOS 4.3. iOS 5 is the one to wait for - it will be released in the Autumn/Fall and includes over '200' new features/improvements.
The additional text tines and ringtones were an iPhone 4-only feature. -
i need help! i am trying to update iphoto on my macbook pro that i had bought from someone else. although i am signed into my account when trying to update it is asking me for the previous owners account details and it wont let me change it to my details how can i solve this problem please.

Jan RobinsonThat's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

Help! I am trying to use the scripts>image processor in Photoshop CC. When I click on it it comes up with an error saying that it cannot find the Javascript Plug In. I have the newest version of Java installed. How do I get it to work in Photoshop. Do I have to download a separate plug in? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Java is not Javascript.
Do you have a Mac or PC?
If PC, do you have this file on your system?

If not, you've got a corrupted installation of Photoshop. Uninstalling and reinstalling may help.

an erroe occured while publishing file 'Web/Sites/iWeb/Site'.
Was working fine last night and yet this morning nothing happens. ALSO not sure whyt but now ALL web site seems to have been completely lost and there is now a Mac page in its place saying that NOTHING exists ! cool ( not ! ) can ANYONE suggest how to re-upload a web site ?????

'name which your site has within the app '???
It's the word which appears at the top of your site organizer at the left inside iWeb. "Site" by default.
It's your .Mac url that people need, not your personal one. Your site is on .Mac.
The page which cannot be found is Able images .html. Is this really on your site? Can you provide another page name that is? (Perhaps there is a spelling error -- people wouldn't normally put a space between images and .html). -

You are covered by warranty and therefore they are liable to assist you. Try that and come back with a status update
Now I will address your attitude about it:Its absolutely understandable to be upset over something like this, especially with such an expensive product, but you are generalizing far to much. You may think Apple is being unproffesional by not warning potential buyers of the iPods common faults, but do you really think they would? they are out to sell these things, they arent going to point out the bad in their product. And not all iPods have problems, in fact only a fraction do. That gopes for the rest o Apples products as well. You are too hasty assuming all Apple products are junk, and one of many reasons as to why that is unfair of you is becuase you dont own any other Apple products. -
Help. I was trying to delete a trial copy of Adobe XI and I think it deleted everything. Everytime I try to open a document in PDF it says there are no programs associated with it. We have a yearly subscription, how to I get it to download again??

Since you have bought yearly subscription then please reinstall Acrobat and you would be able to open the pdfs again.

Please help! I am trying to get at my iPod (2nd_Generation) from a new computer. I have iTunes loaded but the Setup Assistant doesn't come up to allow me to access my iPod Shuffle. When using iPod in the 1st computer (which I no longer have), the iTunes Setup Assistant comes up but not on this 2nd setup on a new computer? The manual doesn't clarify how to do this. Thanks.
