Help, how do I get my upgrade back???

Has anyone experienced something like this before? I preordered the iPhone 4S when they became available on the 7th but changed my mind a couple hours later because I decided I really wanted the white one. I cancelled my order thinking since I had just placed it, ATT probably hadn't of taken the upgrade off my account yet. Well they had unfortunately. It's been 20 days since I canceled the preorder and I stil don't have my upgrade eligibility back. I have called AT&T, and they forwarded me to Apple. I got nowhere. So I tried again with AT&T a few days later, but they still insisted it was something with Apple, and I tried calling Apple again, but got nowhere again, they were blaming AT&T. Has anyone been through something like this and if so, how did you get it resolved? I just want my upgrade back so I can order the iPhone 4S I want.

If you were officially "not in contract", ATT has no right to prevent you moving to Sprint or Verizon. And if you you did not sign a new contract with ATT, they have no lock I can see (but I am not a lawyer, so it is just my opinion).
Whether or not you *really* want to change providers, the words "I want to cancel my service" works wonders.
As to "cancelling due to phone color" and its impact on upgrade status, consider this a lesson learned.

Yesterday i went to a apple store in my city to get the iphone 6 plus it was all running smoothly then we hit the bump the apple worker rang up a iphone 6 and not the plus. This would have been the phone i was upgrading to but when he realized it he went in a cancelled the process no purchase was made. When we went in to retry it the upgrade was gone. If you went to the Apple store on the 2nd, it would take only a few days for our systems to upgrade to should the device was returned (in your case canceled). I apologize for this delay.

After an automatic upgrade, all my bookmarks are gone, none of the troubleshooting answers help - how do I get them back?

I just simply turned on my computer and clicked FireFox as always. Looks like some updates installed and now all my bookmarks are gone. I've looked at all related troubleshooting answers and nothing works. How do i get my bookmarks back?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

HT201272 When iTunes was upgraded to the lastest (11.0), many of of songs/music/audiobooks were deleted! I tried syncing my phone to my computer to get them back, but many of those were deleted too!   How do I get my purchases back to play them???

It shows on iTunes SOME of my past purchases, but not all (looks like around 30-40% of purchases).    It shows on my apple id purchase history everything i have purchased; but in iTunes, some not all of these show up.    What does show up is kind of "greyed out", so NOTHING will actually play.   I have followed the steps in the iTunes support about how to redownload past purchases, but this dowsn't work, as the download button is also "greyed out".
I am extremly angry and upset about this issue. Could someone please help / advise re how to fix????

I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"

I lost my ringtones from my phone when I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4. The ringtones are still on my computer and play in iTunes, but they won't re-transfer back to the phone. I'm using the correct iTunes account on both my computer and phone. In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help, but I found an easier way: Since I have about 3000 songs, a few videos and a few audiobooks, it would have taken me forever to move each item one by one. So instead, I just dragged the content categories from the iTunes library into the iPod content catgories and it worked like a charm. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade within 15 days of buying:
Apple have made this as difficult as possible. However two posters have managed to achieve this. Elizellen was able to use Express Lane to get a refund:

However if you use Express Lane may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare. julia22 managed to find a way round that by phoning them - please see this post:

Upgraded to ios7, then clicked on the update to THAT... now black screen/NO phone!!! What happened? How do I get my phone back??

I went thru upgrade to ios7, then a few days later there was an alert in settings, so I clicked on the update to THAT upgrade... then my phone went black... no turning off or on. So I plugged into my PC and it will only show an iTunes logo a small white arrow up and then a pic of hte cord attached.... computers won't recognize phone, but sometimes show a 'device' there, but no opening anything... and it shows NO device driver for apple iphone. what's happened??? HOW dod I get my phone back! This is a work phone... need asap! thanks!

You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

I no longer have sound for either my audio books or my music on itunes. I've tried everything--restarting, updating, re-installing audible app, and restoring the iphone to its factory settings--nothing helps. How do I get the sound back?

How do I get the sound back on my iPhone 4? I've tried all the fixes such as restarting iPhone, reinstalling the audible app, and finally yesterday, I restored the phone to its factory settings. I still get no sound from music on iTunes or from my audible books. The phone still rings (I have sound for that) and the voice control speaks to me, and when I'm typing, the automatic text voice speaks so I can hear it but nothing else works.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.
