Help! How do I undo a Site Name change?

Stupid me typed in a new Site Name in Site Inspector and then hit update. Now, instead of typing in http://web.mac.com/toreadornottoread to get to mywebsite, people have to type in a ton of stuff that I never wanted. I simply mis-understood what the "Site Name" under Inspector, Site Inspector was for. I want to undo it, but it wont let me. Every time I erase the name I put into the "Site Name" box and try to update I just get an error beep. Please help. How do I undo what I did and take my site back to its original name/web address?

Have you tried simply double clicking on the site name in the organizer over at the left and renaming it there?

How to revert to old site name and link?

I just created a disaster. I had several videos pages published and the ugly links are connected to an email autoresponder. I recently tried to clean up the title of the links from within iWeb by changing the default site name and the result was the URL for the links on each page were changed. Now the old links to the site doesn't work cuz the links are different cuz of the new site name. How can I revert back to the old name of the site so my old backlinks to the site work?

Dreamweaver CS4 - Existing Site Name Changed in Manage Sites

Please help me! I have an existing site name from Manage Sites become slightly different site name from original.
For example, existing site name was fashionstars, now become ftp://fashionstars, with ftp:// in it. ( It happen when I did some try and error approach to do certain task, or press the wrong buttons etc) Is there any possibility to change back to original name fashionstars and how to do it? Otherwise I won't be able to upload files to remote site because of different site name appeared in Manage Sites.
Should I remove the modified site name ftp://fashionstars and recreate a new site name fashionstars and copy all exiting files from local site folder to new fashionstars?

Additional information, I use MacBook Pro to run Dreamweaver CS4. The existing site has 150 MB file size, hundreds of files, so to recreate new site name, it has to start to create all manually, will take a long time. Is there any other ways I can recreate site fashionstars without to start all over again?
I am very worry about this, it may not be able to fix it. My website is stuck, won't be able to upload files any more.
Another problem is that I lost the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or htp://fashionstars . When I go to Manage Sites to edit site of ftp://fashionstars, it goes to CONFIGURE SERVER, not the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or ftp://fashionstars. Please help me.
( note that I use the name fashionstars as an example only, not my real site name)

Office 365/Share point one Drive site name change ?

We use Office 365 and the One drive in our organization and ADFS setup to sync users from Active Directory to create and manage users in 365. A problem we've discovered is that when a users name changes (married) I can change it in AD and that will
show in 365 but the users sharepoint site to one drive still shows the original name so for example if jsmith changed to jjones the original sharepoint onedrive site is

and the new one should be

I found in the Admin console under sharepoint settings etc places to update the user to the new name and I make the change and hit save and close and in a few min its back to the original. It won't let me change it. Anyone else run across this

I understand that you stay in the Office 365 admin Center, when you click the SharePoint option, you get the error page.
I recommend to enter the URL as below in the Brower to check whether the account can access SharePoint admin Center.

How Discoverer Reports cope with table name changes

I want to change the name of an oracle table that is queried by a number of Discoverer reports owned by various users.
I have been told that Discoverer might have the smarts to handle this without manual intervention of users having to open their reports and repoint them to the new tablename. Would someone be able to enlighten me?

Additionally I'd like to add for the purpose of the name change is business driven and therefore it is important that business (report writers) see the new name so.....
For each simple folder in the EUL there are there 3 attributes you need to be aware of:
(1) Folder Name (the name as seen in Discoverer)
(2) Identifier
(3) Physical Database Object name
(1) and (2) are used by a Disco workbook to resolve back to the physical object name.
Therefore, you can change either (1) or (2) [but not both] and still have the workbook resolving back to the physical object name on the folder (ie (3)).
In summation, I changed (1) and (3) while leaving (2) unchanged to resolve the whole glorious mess....

External access broke after site name change

We have external access to SharePoint 2013 behind a reverse proxy using an ADFS server for authentication. It was working fine until I changed our site name and now externally it gives a 500 error. The event log says there is a problem with AAMs, but this
is a host-named site collection. The default URL for the site is correct. What am I missing here?

According to your description, my understanding is that after changed the site collection hosted name of a hose-named site collection you encountered error
500 when you wanted to access the site collection from external.

How to find out sub site name from which sub site template is created - in solution gallery

i am having an issue in my "save site as a template". i have created a subsite few weeks back with doc libs and splists, disc.forum and based on the template subsite I have created new subsites. now
as per my new requirement i need to add new doclibs and few columns in these doc lib. But I am unable to find which sub site was taken as a template.since i have many subsites with different names, I forgott
to make meaningful names, i gave some datetime for the templatesubsites,
like project_27_jul_2pm,project_20_jul_7pm, etc etc.
So would like to know, is it possible to find out from which subsite I have taken/prepared the template subsite.
any APIs are available or any power shell scripts. such that i can find out from which subsite i have created this sub site template.

Urgent, SOS for help: How to show the pdf file name at the right bottow of the page?

I want to show the pdf file name at the right bottow of the page for filing purpose, anybody knows anything?
I know it can be showed at the left bottom through adobe printer, but i need it to be at the right bottom.

The result is a UIWebView that displays a blank page. No errors occur in the UIWebView delegate method. The thing is that data has the correct length, in bytes, for the PDF I am trying to display, and I also get the pdf file in Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.3.2/Applications/ Does anyone have an idea as to what might be going wrong here or how I can better debug this problem?

How do I reverse a user-name change?

HELP! I accidentally changed the name under the "home" icon, simply by highlighting the previous name (which is also the previous owner of the computer) and changing it to mine. This immediately added another user to the computer, has changed all of my personalized settings in every interface and program, and has now created a folder with the previous user's name.
All of my personal information (ie pictures and documents) are located in the new location but the computer is recognizing the old user when I try to save files to the desktop. Reversing this process by highlighting my new name to change it back doesn't allow me to do so, because there's already another user by that name.
How can I reverse this process and go back to the way it was just an hour ago? Thanks.

Site name and populating header data in dashboards

Hi All,
Can anyone advise me how i may populate the "site name" field in the column headers on a dashboard? At the moment i have servers added from various sites and differing OU's in AD.
But, when i add the site field in as a column, they are all blank!
Can someone advise me how i may go about populating this info please?

Hi,
The Site Name column you are referring to is in fact the "Active Directory Site" attribute which is discovered by the "Discover Windows Computer Properties" object discovery.
This discovery rule runs by default every day on all computers which are running windows.
Is your Site ID filled in in AD and do you have enough privileges to read out this data?
Is the AD mp installed + run as account configured?

Thank you for the reply. The AD mp is installed and configured correctly with the run as account. Im not sure what you mean by filling in the "site id" is this found in adsi? If i look up one of the servers, there is a site field which is greyed out, my
understanding is that this is for DC's only, we do have some DC's listed in scom but the same field is still blank in the scom dashboards.
If there are any other ways besides, custom fields, that i can have the site location of a server listed easily in the dashboards, please advise?

You can't change to 'None' until you clear up the previous payment problem. Add a fresh iTunes gift card, or add a credit card, and then once the billing issue clears, you can choose 'None' again.

How to publish custom web site with own domain name?

Hey out there. I wonder if anyone can give me any tips on how to publish a web site with my own domain name.
I have a web site I'm building and I want to purchase a domain name and then publish the site using that domain name.
I know how to buy a domain name. I have a .mac account so I'm hoping that .mac can host the site. What I don't quite understand how to do is get .mac to host the site using that domain name. I looked through Apple Support but couldn't find what I was looking for. Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation. Thanks in advance.

How to add get the field name for a newly added site column.

I have the following:-
Enterprise wiki site collection inside SharePoint server 2013.
I added a new site column of type managed metadata.
I opened the enterprisewiki.aspx page layout using the SP designer, to add the newly added site column to it.
But I have noted that to add any site column I need to know the field name , for example the default wiki category column is referenced inside the page layout as follow:-
