Help How to Delta for ZBBPBW_DOCREL_SELECT - SAP Note 501836 / 931998

Dear Guru's,
We have applied the SAP Notes 501836 and 931998 in order to create the extractor mentioned above. In SAP note 501836 it mentions:
Note forSRM 4.0:
In SRM 4.0, the generic extraction also supports the delta update procedure. For you, this means that you can also use the delta update procedure for the extraction of the document flow.
Has anyone adopted or managed to make this extractor delta capable, if so could you please share how to achieve this.

Hi Rana,
There is no need for you to set any thing for delta.
As normal run the IP with init with data transfer and then next enable delta for the next load.
Check for the Below matter which explains how the delta is carried in the case of FI data sources.
Financial Accounting line items are read by extractors directly from the tables in SAP R/3. A time stamp on the line items serves to identify the status of the delta data. Time stamp intervals that have already been read are stored in a time stamp table. The delta dataset is transferred to BW directly, without records being transferred to the delta queue in SAP R/3 (extractor delta method).
The Financial Accounting line items are extracted from SAP R/3 in their most recent status (after-image delta method). This delta procedure is not suitable for filling InfoCubes in BW directly. Therefore, firstly, the line items must be loaded in the BW system in an ODS object that identifies the changes made to individual characteristics and key figures within a delta data record. Other data destinations (InfoCubes, ODS objects) can be provided with data from this ODS object.

BW - Delta for Master data not loading

Hello All,
I am not able to load delta for master data of vendor and material.
The initial load works fine but when I load delta it gives an error
" The extraction program does not support object 0vendor"
" ALE change pointers are not set up correctly"
Do i need to activate the change pointer in BD61. I was not sure so checking up with all experts.

Hi Ravi,
We faced the same problem as you for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and we solved it by the following steps,
1. Delete the previous Delta Init for the InfoObject
If you have access to R/3 Side you can follow the steps or you can follow the BW Steps
Goto RSA7 ->Select and Delete the Init for the InfoObject
From BW Side
InfoPackage-> Inti for Source System -> Select & Delete
2. Execute the Init InfoPackage for the InfoPackage again.
3. After successful completion, execute the delta InfoPackage.
We have have got resolved by doing these steps and it may help for your problem as well.

CRM extractor 0CRM_SERV_PROCESS_H delta for ZZ-fields not working

Dear all,
We are experiencing trouble with a extractor 0CRM_SERV_PROCESS.
We have extended the extract structure of this extractor with an append structure containing some custom date and text fields.
When doing a full load or a delta init, all fields arrive properly in SAP BW. In RSA3 in CRM, everything appears to be correct.
When performing a delta update however, the custom fields appear as null in SAP BW while the standard fields are updated normally (null as in empty or 00000).
After browsing thru this forum and some sap notes (661340, 692195, 871930, 887724, 892022) I still haven't found a solution.
Does anyone have an idea of how to solve this?

What is the logic you ahve used to populate the values for new appended fields ?
Is it BADi, User Exits or mapping module enhancement ? Value population to custom field code should be checked throughly.

How to revert back a SAP NOTE? Dump- Field symbol has not yet been assigned

Hi Experts,
We r getting dump(cause: Field symbol has not yet been assigned) in production for ABUMN tx, so, when debugged, it came to know that, the Field symbol is coming from REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY!!
So, for some reason the system message text is not getting output in ALV-->Dump!!
So, found a NOTE causing this problem!!
So, pls. let me know that, How to revert back this/any SAP NOTE? pls. in detail steps wise!!

Need to help to Initialise delta for CRM datasources

I am currently working on CRM Extraction. I am using the datasource 0CRM_SERVICE_CONFIRM_I datasource. I have loaded the data to ODS.I am trying run Init delta without data transfer.
While running, i am getting the error message as
-> Activation of M records from DataStore object 0CRM_CNFI terminated
-> Full updates already available in DSO 0CRM_CNFI; Cannot update init./delta
Can u please provide me how to enable delta for CRM Datasources.

Help - how to restore playlists that have not been backed-up...

hi All - some help required please!
my itunes library has been getting bigger and bigger so a few days ago I decided to transfer all my itunes media to an external drive to free up space on my internal drive... So far so good, all 106gb of the music and movies have transferred across and iTunes can find it all etc.
MY PROBLEM:
the problem is that now all my playlists have gone, ie they are still shown in iTunes down the left side, but they are empty
All the playlists are still active and present on my ipod, since I haven't yet reconnected it. I also have a couple on my iphone, also not yet reconnected.
Is there a way to restore my deleted playlists (obviously not manually!), perhaps by synching my ipod to itunes, although I suspect this might simply delete the playlists from my ipod?
A bit more detail on how I transferred my iTunes media: I copied the iTunes music folder (which includes movies) to my external hardrive. I then deleted the content from iTunes. I went to Preferences, Advanced and re-pointed my iTunes media location to my external drive. I then went File, Add folder to library and after a bit of time it was all there again... I am running iTunes 10 on a PC with Windows 7.
Any help or even better solutions much appreciated!!!

Buy a 3rd-party ipod manager that supports your model of ipod and also supports getting playlists off of it. There is no transferring of playlists from ipod to itunes using itunes itself.

I'm not sure how you moved stuff around. If you used the itunes file > library > consolidate command to move the files to the exHD, your playlists shouldn't be empty.

How to account for Shipping charge not used during Purchase Process?

A PO was created. PO had purchase item price, tax, freight with shipping and insurance.
Goods received.
PO invoiced for item pricetaxshipping.
However, insurance was not paid for in Freight.
Question is how can we return the amount back to Vendor?
The Goods Received Document is open as shipping amount is still remains to be accounted for. What is a good for to account for this shipping charge if not returned to Customer.

I think it was my mistake.
This is what is the conclusion like you suggested.
Whenever Invoice is less than po, it automatically adjusts the Inventory of Finished Goods Account on credit side with the amount we paid less.

How to search for a font not listed in the Fonts window

I'm unable to create a PDF of an older document built by someone who doesn't work here anymore (so I can't ask how they built it). The PDF starts to generate but it takes longer than usual then right before the last page, it stops and I get a log telling me that it can't generate the PDF because of a problem with a Frutiger-Roman font. We don't use that font so I'm not sure where it would be. Also, when I look in the Fonts pod window, it's not listed.
Is there a way to search a document to find a font that isn't listed in the Fonts pod window?

Sounds like it's coming in with an import, which is probably an image, but could also be a text inset.
I've seen this happen with DWG, DXF, EPS and EPSI imports. I'd expect it to be possible with PDF imports, as well as any formatted text inset.
It could even be an empty string. You can't find any text, but the declaration got triggered anyway.
Most image formats that can include fonts can be opened in Adobe Illustrator. You can then Select > Object > Text Objects and see what's there (or not). If AI throws "some objects have been outlined", you've located the offending file for sure.

LO delta for z fields not taking place

Hi All,
We have a problem with th one of our LO DS. We have recently added some Z feilds but then if any change is made then
1. Delta doesnot bring these changes
2. Full load brings these changes.
Now since thise has gone into production , and lakhs of data are mis matching since the changes have not been ca[ptured.
Any idea to resolve it .
Also suggest if any workaround possible

First of all, what is the Datasource that you have enhanced?
And what is the CMOD Enhancement Function Exit that you are using?
As pointed out, the Delta might not be triggering for the Z fields (whenever you change it).
As far as the work around in concerned, i guess you're 1st level staging is a DSO (maybe Write-Optimized).
You need to write a program to update this DSO.
If you have any other DSO's being updated for the required Z fields, you can make use of that.
Otherwise, you'll have to write an Extract program in R/3 for the required fields (including the Key Fields in DSO) and then update the DSO with this.
Then update the 2nd level DSO (Standard), if any, or directly the Cube.
I am doing the same right now as we had an issue with 2LIS_02_SCL and the Delta was not triggered due to an issue with the CMOD code.

HELP: How do you tell iPhoto 08 not to import dupes?

I was just looking at iPhoto 08 preferences and I can not see where I choose not to import duplicates... where or can you toggle this?
I imported from an external hard drive and I just dragged the top level folder into iPhoto to begin the import. I was never asked if I wanted to import the dupes or not....

The photos do not have to be on the same drive as the library. I import from an external HD frequently and always get the duplicate warning if there are duplicates in the batch.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance. iPhoto doesn't not have to be closed to run it, just idle.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Final Cut Pro X Project file corrupt, how to restore for backup when not prompted by the program?

We have a project on an iMac 13 4gb RAM. We have discovered that it is not the event, but instead it is the project file that has become corrupted. When we try to poen FCPX it crashes, and reports that it has crashed. however, if we remove the project file and leave the event and then try to open FPCX, there is no problem. Looking online, usually FCPX asks if you want to open from the backup hat FCPX makes of yourproject. However, since we cannot opn FCPX with the project, then we cannot do this!
Just as a side note, this is a VCE media project that is due tomorrow... So any ideas are extremely welcome!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous: a Project is a work so complicated, there should be MULTIPLE backups (as in Logic or Photoshop) and an easy "Restore from Backup" File command! Instead, you must manually COPY from the backup folder in Finder -- OUTSIDE the program (and which contains only the most RECENT backup) into the parent project folder for the particular project. This capability is almost useless, since the only backup you have might be just 15 minutes old. Then you are up a creek.
Fortunately there is Time Machine, and you can use that to go back far enough to find the work you accidentally destroyed (or APPLE destroyed) and MANUALLY copy that over into the correct folder using Time Machine restore procedures.
I am finding, which led to rant, that when I delete an Audio Effect, the Whole Project is deleted when the audio track is selected. I'm doing something wrong, or here's more work for the programmers.
Really, this is unacceptable work. And thank goodness for my Time Machine. Program 101 in work like this is MULTIPLE backup capability and an easy restore command.
This needs to be addressed pronto. I'm holding my breath.
