Help! How to Download Existing Website into DW8?

Anybody got a simple 4-step formula to do this? The support team for my IP/server doesn't have any idea of how to do it?
I need a complete file for DW8 so I can edit existing site. Current server has lost all of my files? Got to switch to new server?

If the website is live, then I'm not sure how the files are lost - they are visible by visiting the link you provided.
Do you have access to the host server - with details how to log in?
If you do, then you download them (by using GET).
1. Create a Site Definition in Dreamweaver
2. Insert the Remote information (login in details to the server)
3. GET the files from the server

Help updating father's existing website.

I am sorry if this has been asked somewhere (I cant find it), or if it is stupid quesiton to some. I am new at this.
I have been asked to take over editing of my aging father's website hosted by GoDaddy and originally built using a PC and (I believe) Front Page. He can no longer help me or communicate what to do, but I want to honor him as he ages and provide updates on his site for people that love him dearly.
I need specific and SIMPLY explained help to download his website pages from GoDaddy, make simple edits on my Mac, then upload the new pages back to GoDaddy, without messing up all the formatting on site. Free is good, but simple is better. I am willing to spend the $79 on Rapid Weaver if that is what is necessary, and accomplishes the goal. I have iWeb '09 on my Mac, but do not know how to use it or if it will work for this. (I also have read that iWeb no longer works anyway.)
If anyone can help suggest the application(s) necessary, and the specific steps to take, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think that if you are taking over the site and it was built using Front Page, then I would suggest that you re-build the site from scratch using a different programme entirely.
Front Page was a PC only programme and was really not that good and is very old in technology terms. I think Microsoft brought out Expression Web instead and that has been around for quite sometime now. Perhaps time to ditch a Front Page website.
If you have a Mac, then what you want to do is going to be hard. RapidWeaver has no import facilities and neither does iWeb and there is really no point in using iWeb now, because Apple no longer sells it or supports it and has not done so for at least the last 2 years, since MobileMe went.
If you want to edit the html directly, then you need to use a TexEditor like TextEdit or you need to use a programme that supports html import such as Flux 4 or DreamWeaver - both of these have a steep learning curve though.
Think you are better investing your time and money into a new programme and re-building the site from the ground up - it will give it a more modern look from FrontPage and most FrontPage websites do have that look about them and I'm sure you could do better.
You can take a look at RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Pro/Express 6, WebAcappella 4, Flux 4 and also EverWeb at http://www.everwebapp.com. Once built, you can publish the files to your desktop and then just go to GoDaddy and delete what is on the server at present and then upload the new site - you would need to download an ftp programme though, so something like Cyberduck or Transmit or Yummy FTP. These are all good and you would need this to connect to GoDaddy and delete what is already on the server and then upload your new site.
In the end it might be easier to re-build the site from scratch especially as you are using a Mac and the site was built on PC software that now no longer exists and anything like this produces complications on trying to edit the code and re-upload.

How to import existing projects into JDeveloper 11g

I am trying to work with JDeveloper for my application and want to know whether it is possible to import existing projects into the work space in JDeveloper. I am currently working with eclipse IDE and this feature is available in it. How can I connect to clear case from JDeveloper? In eclipse it is very easy to connect to clear case with a plugin installed and check out, check in files from the source control. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The basic way to import code is to use the "New->Projects->Project from existing code" or "project from WAR" dialogs to create your project.
You then need to do some tweaking in the project properties->Content (and sub nodes such as resources and Web content).
And also set the correct JARs/Libraries in the project properties.
You can use the help->check for update to download the extension to JDeveloper that will let you integrate with Clearcase to do version management.

If you have zip file of the project then unzip it into your project location where all projects are there .then in NWDS go to file->import->multiple existing project into workspace->browse the file where you have saved it and select the comp folder inside the project folder->click finish.Now you are able to see the webdynpro project in the webdynpro explorer.If its not appearing then go to Navigatore and right click on project and click on open project, it will open the project in webDynpro explorer.

Need details on how to move existing website to Dreamweaver CS6 and to Business Catalyst web hosting

     I need assistance with transferring an existing website - imagessays.com - (designed with Dreamweaver CS4) to my Creative Cloud CS6 account - and to web hosting by CS6 Business Catalyst.
   … step-by-step instructions would be most useful. I've got the Dreamweaver CS6 onDemand book, etc., ... I guess I’m just not enough of a geek to work my way through the steps and to get my site back moving ahead online.
    Beyond that, need advice as to how to repair a couple of non-funcitonal links on the site (check out imagessays.com to see a couple of pics that don't work). I'm looking forward to uploading more content and to do major upgrade to the site, but am unable to do so ... need technical support re how to do these simple (should be) things.
    Since setting up the website over 5 years ago, I have migrated from Dreamweaver CS3 to CS4 .... and now to CS6 ... and from a Dell XPS 450 running Windows XP to a Mac Pro desktop running Mac OS X.
These changes of version / machine / OS have separated me from the ability to do the one simple thing that I need to do with this straightforward website, that is: upload new pitchers and writins .

Copy Existing Website into Dreamweaver

I've got an existing website online, using Filezilla to access my server files. I've tried to import my files into Dreamweaver using the Get function. All appeared to have transfered correctly but I'm getting a "Can't find a valid editor for this extension" anytime I try to open a file.
Is there an additional step I've missed? Should I have downloaded the files differently?
Please let me know the proper way to download server files and set them up in Dreamweaver.

Does your developer use BestAddress HTML Editor instead of Dreamweaver? If so, that appears to be a propietary template file.
Or maybe it's a greeting card thing or a ChemDraw template, but I would bet on my first guess.
