Help How to get mail running again
When I click mail on the dock mail sounds as if loading and toolbar at top comes up for mail. However there is nothing on the screen. Used to get frame with inbox messages and list of files in inbox, outbox etc at top left. Can't get any of that any more.
Can get new message frame up and write in it but then sending doesn't work. Nothing seems to happen.

Quit the Mail.app first and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
Using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.mail.plist. Move the com.apple.mail.plist file to the Desktop.
Note: Moving the com.apple.mail.plist file out of the Preferences folder will require re-entering all email account information when re-launching Mail.
The only exception to this is if you have a .Mac account which will be recreated automatically and/or if you created an email account as part of the computer setup assistant when first turning on the computer when new.
Launch Mail and decline any prompt to import mailboxes. After re-entering all email account information the same as before, the Mail.app should rediscover the existing account named folders (one for each email account) and mailboxes at Home > Library > Mail.
If this is successful and after confirming all mailboxes were successfully rediscovered, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder and the old com.apple.mail.plist file from the Desktop.

Question is why can't I get any help from Adobe getting CC running again?
I have two open support tickets on getting CC up and running again. NO reposnse. I had to turn in 1/2 completed work on Flash class and will drop at least a letter grade. Flash has been down since satuday..

I've searched for an .exe file in Firefox program files, but there doesn't seem to be one anywhere. I'd like to uninstall, download a new program and reinstall, but I'd rather not lose bookmarks and other settings.

Delted USERS01.DBF, how get DB running again?
Hi and my appreciation for reading,
I accidentally deleted my USERS01.DBF and with it all my data of the "admin" account.
Now I am trying to get things running again, but have some problems (I am aware I cant recover the data, and since it was a test db anyway I am not trying to).
I would like to create some tables, but get the following error on every attempt:
ORA-01658: Unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace %s
I already tried to change the tablespace but am getting the follwing error for that:
ORA-00376: file 4 can not be read at this time

As the content of the USERS tablespace does not matter after your quote above, you may do the following
SQL> create tablespace users2 datafile '/u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl/users2.dbf' size <desired size>;
Tablespace created.
SQL> alter database default tablespace users2;
Database altered.
SQL> drop tablespace users including contents and datafiles;

My Outlook Mac2011 crashed. How do i get it running again?
I have been using Outlook Mac2011 successfully for about 3 years now. Two nights ago whilst logged into Outlook, the MacBook Pro started a series of continous klaxon type sounds. The mousepad was unresponsive; no key pads would function; I closed down the MacBook and then restarted. On restarting and selecting from the bottom tray Outlook, the application failed to open. It said the username was unrecognized and a serious error had occured with Outlook. I reinstalled Office Mac2011 - all other applications work, but not Outlook.
Any suggested method to get Outlook running again?Reset it: hold down the Power button and the Home button until the Apple logo is displayed. There"s no effect on your data.

I just bought a new iMac and I thought that it would be simple to migrate from my MacBook.
I have a time machine back-up so I decided to migrate using that. Everything seemed to instal pretty well with the exception of mail. To begin with I had 2 mail icons, then I started to read some forums and checked that i had the one I wanted in the applications folder, deleted the other and then downloaded the new operating system. Mail had to be force quit first and even when the download was complete Mail still wouldn't open or run. The only thing I can do is compose a new message, but I can't see my inbox at all.
It's really frustrating and I would love to know in a simple step by step guide how to get mail up and running with my existing migrated emails in it.
If anyone can give me some advice that would be great.

HProblems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash.

Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
The output of this command, on a line directly below what you entered, will be a number such as "41." Please post it in a reply. -

When launching Illustrator on Mac OSX 10.9 I get an error that the program is no longer supported on PowerPC. I tried moving the plug-ins to a different folder as the Adobe site suggested but no luck. Any ideas how to get this launched again? Same issue for Photoshop and InDesign
You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

I have an iPhone 3GS and was trying to restore it...
Now it won't let me activate my phone and my itunes tells me I have no SIM card inserted when I do.
Any ideas on how to get it working again?This means that the phone was previously hacked to carrier unlock (unauthorized unlock), and when you restored, the hack was removed and it became re-locked to its original carrier. It will now accept a SIM card only from that carrier.
Your only option is to contact the carrier it's locked to and enquire if they will provide authorized unlocking. Not all carriers will unlock and those that do usually have requirements and qualifications - i.e. you have to be a current or former customer in good standing. -

I'm developing an application where a file is need to be saved as pdf. But, if there is already a pdf file with same name in the specified directory, I wish to overwrite it. And in the overwrite case, read-only files should not be overwritten. If the duplicate(old) file is opened in windows (Win7) explorer preview, it is write protected. So, it should not be overwritten. I tried to get the '
FILE_ATTRIBUTE_READONLY' using MS API 'GetFileAttributes', but it didn't succeed. How Adobe marks the file as read-only for preview? Do I need to check some other attribute of the file?
