Help! How to import 2 STL subtitle files in track s1?

Very basic question but can't get it right.
I have 2 STL files with corresponding tiffs, each in seperate bins. They both can be imported seperately into track S1 of DVDSP4. File STL 1 starts from the beginning of the track, file STL 2 with an offset from the middle of the film, as it should. Works fine seperate, but as these files are both English subs I want them to be in one track (s1) together.
Here is my question; after having imported file STL 1 in subtitle track S1, all these subtitles are gone from the track the moment I import file STL 2 in this same subtitle track S1. I now only see the subtitles of STL 2 in S1!? How to import both files in S1????

hello jebe-
being fairly new to the STL thing, this is how I would approach your problem...
first - duplicate your docs.
open the two copies of the stl files in "text edit" side by side.
start at the top of the page and compare each file line for line.
when you get to the first line that is different, stop.
select everything above that in the document that goes in the second position, and delete.
"select all" in that second document and "copy".
go to the very end of the document that belongs in the first position and paste.
save as XXXXX.stl (or whatever your file was) and continue merrily along your way.

Hey I am facing a similar problem:
I have this jar file lbswebservice.jar that I have to use for my application.
I added it to the classpath, I copied it in my WEB-INF/lib folder, but when I try to access classes in this package, it doesnt work.
For example the jar contains the package com.blipsystems.lbs.ws.messages.* ; that contains different classes, like the Campaign class.
I tried to use this class (just to create an object) in different context (through jsp, or just through java test classes), but it never works, i get the error: com.blipsystems.lbs.ws.messages.Campaign cannot be resolved to a type

What do you mean by "adjust"? Editing of Photoshop images should be done in Photoshop.
Sure, it's possible to save individual layers from an image in Photoshop as inidvidual files in a variety of formats, but what's the point? You could just as easily import the layered file, then copy/paste it into a new layer for each layer in the image and use layer visibility to control which ones show. I don't think that will do you a lot of good, though, if you use adjustment layers or opacity controls on the layer in Photoshop.

There's no import needed. You just open it using the AIR SQL APIs. If this database file was created outside AIR, it's not necessarily compatible, though. There are SQLite features and extensions that aren't supported in AIR.

How to import the subtitles from m2ts file ?

I have a problem with subtitles. Some time ago I did Blue Ray, including subs (using import from txt file). Unfortunatelly after I deleted all project I recognized that my BD DL disc is not working, only part written on first layer can be play .
Now, I copied m2ts files directly from BD and wanted to make BD again (maybe 2 x discs). Those m2ts files has embedded subtitles -some players show it in the file properities and they can display it.
Question is:
How to import them to Adobe Encore CS5 ? Why AE are not recognize them ?

It's a multiplexed transport stream, not something editable.
To get the subtitles out, you need an (illegal) ripper that will demux the transport streams.

It is possible to import a .p12 file into a keystore with a small Java program...
I found a sample to do this about a year ago, the source page is no longer valid. I have made some slight modifications to the original program, but left credit to the original author in the top (to the best of my knowledge).

HELP!Problem Importing STL Subs

Please Help.I am trying to import an STL file where the subs are stored as bitmaps.There is a command $SetFilepathtoken.Problem is that when I try to import I get "No corresponding subtitles found.
The video asset timecode may not correspond with the timecode specified for the subtitles in the import file or the file is invalid."
But if I remove the Setfilepath command in textedit, the import goes on sweetly but of course I have no subs, just the .BMP filenames instead of subs.Doesn't removing the setfilepath command mean that there isnt a timecode problem, since the import goes on normally?In short what can I do? Please help!We're talking about a 1065 subtitles file here!!!BTW All that happens in DVDSP 4.

Your stl file does not specify what needs to be imported. Open your stl file in TextEdit.
Change $SetFilePathToken command to $SetFilePathToken = <<graphic>>
Change every <<>> occurence into <<graphic>> (use find and replace function). Save the file and put it in the same folder with bitmaps if it is not there already.
Open your DVD project and use "Import Subtitle file" in the track that needs subtitles (right-click or control-click in the subtitle slot)

Trouble importing stl subtitles

Bummertime--when I try to import my stl (subtitled at a pro house) I get that familiar error:
No corresponding subtitles found.
The video asset timecode may not correspond with the timecode specified for the subtitles in the import file or the file is invalid.
The stl starts at 0, my clip in DVDSP also starts at zero. I've set the timecode to 'zero based' in the timeline, also to 'asset based' and the same unfortunate result happens in both cases.
This is the first time I've done this and I'm pretty stumped. Any ideas?
The subtitling place is sending me an SON, maybe that will work.......

I've had good luck with using rtf or txt files as subtitle source. I use find and replace and table-to-text conversion inMS Word to get my data in the right format.
I had the same problem yesterday (No corresponding subtitles found), and it took me a while to figure out it was because I had skipped the last step of replacing all the tabs in the data file with commas.
Her is a sample ofthe first few lines of a subtitle file:

The subtitles must all have out points to import to DVDSP, and I use space-comma-space as my separator. Thee double slash // denotes a comment to be ignored by dvdsp.
If there is MS word code that is sticking to your file and preventing dvvdsp from loading it, you might try pasting it through Text Edit to get a nice clean file to start with.
Also, make sure the timecode and TC format (DF, NDF) actually do match between you asset and your data file. If they don't, you may find it easiest to fix your asset by modifying the starting timecode of your FCP sequence and re-encoding.

How to import a text file created in Pages (iWork '08) to Photoshop Elements

I am totally a novice at working with Photoshop Elements. I need help. I want to create my business card in Photoshop Elements with a background image and then a text layer over the background layer. The logo and text was created in Pages (iWork '08). Can I import this text file to Photoshop Elements and if so how do I do that? I cannot create the same logo in Elements unless someone can tell me how to draw a circle with a transparent background so that just the outline of the circle shows and the background comes through. Thanks for any help you can offer. I have OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and Photoshop Elements 6.

In PSE, to draw an empty circle use the elliptical marquee tool and hold down shift while you drag to constrain it to a circle. That will give you an empty selection, then go to Edit>Stroke (outline) selection. A window appears where you can choose the width and color of the stroke.
However, I'm not understanding why you would want to create your business card in PSE rather than in Pages or equivalent. Is there a special reason for this?
EDIT As for the text file, it would be simpler just to retype it in PSE, since it can't be very much text. Remember that PSE doesn't do all the fancy things with text that Pages can, although it can do some things (like warping) that Pages can't.
You could activate the text tool and use copy/paste, but you'll lose most of the formatting.
