Help: How to set paper layout to Landscape

Hi,
I am working on a report and I am trying to set the paper layout to Landscape. I were able to set the width to 11' and length to 8.5' for header and trailer section, but I can't set made the same setting for the main section. Here is the message that I got when I attempted to set the height in the main section to 8.5':
REP-801: Layout canvas must remain large enough to fit all layout objects.

You obviously have objects lying outside of those dimensions. What I would do is this:
1) save your report under a different name
2) select all the objects in your main section, and do a cut.
3) change the pagesize to your landscape dimensions
4) paste back in the objects
I think that should work.

    hi,
    you can do it.
    after declaring the catlog table you will give as
    wa_catlog-seltext_l = 'material'.
    wa_catlog-datatype = 'char'.
    wa_catlog-outputlen = 18.
    wa_catlog-fieldname = 'matnr'.
    append wa_catlog to i_catlog.
    clear wa_catlog.
    wa_catlog-seltext_l = 'plantl'.
    wa_catlog-datatype = 'char'.
    wa_catlog-outputlen = 4.
    wa_catlog-fieldname = 'werks'.
    append wa_catlog to i_catlog.
    clear wa_catlog.
    similarly what sequence you give here i.e. material  ,  plant  etc. you get the output in the same oder you can even give only the fields you want in the output.
    rewards points if useful.

  • Oracle report-how to change report layout to landscape?

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle report 6i. I want to change the report layout to Landscape. I had tried to go to 'page setup' and changed to 'landscape', but when I print, I still got portait layout.
    Can anyone help me? Thanks.
    Jun

    Hi,
    Easiest method for changing your reports orientation to Landscape is
    Go to object navigator->System parameters->Orientation.
    Set value of this system parameter as Landscape. Thats all. You also can set this property using srw. features at runtime.

  • How to set one layout to display only?

    Hello, Expers,
    I want to display only one layout. The scenario is: when the user input some data in a layout and click on one 'input finish' function button which means that the user has finished input data in that layout, then the system will set that layout to display only. I don't want to use the variable with comparion column because that will also cause all the layout to display only. What I want to do is just set only one layout to display only. Anyone know how to do?

  • How oracle seeded paper layout output should convert in excel?

    Hi,
    The seeded Oracle Report All Inventory Values Report output is in paper layot. Could anyone tell how this report output should be taken in excel?
    Is it possible to convert paper layout output to excel? If so then pls tell the steps how to do that...
    Thanks

    Actually we are using oracle DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) package to convert our reports in EXCEL.
    Like..
    In After Parameter Form we are opening one excel sheet in local drive and then sending some header data through
    that trigger.
    Fuction we are using are
    DDE.APP_BEGIN -- For Opening excel sheet
    DDE.INITIATE -- For initializing that sheet in variable
    DDE.POKE -- For sending data in excel
    From this AFTER PARAMETER trigger of report you have to keep the last row inserted in excel.
    Then in reports repeating frame you will use only
    DDE.POKE package for sending data in excel by increasing the row + (the last number returned by AFTER PARAMETER)
    Try like this..

  • How to set default layout for ALV grid ?

    Dear all,
    When execute ALV reports, the user customize the layout for their own purpose. But each time they run that report, they must choose again their layout. Is there any way to set the layout as default ?
    Thank you very much,
    Sylvecat.

    Hi,'
    After you have created a layout just follow the steps listed below for making it as default layout:
    1. Click (Save Layout).
    2. Enter a name in the Save Layout field. The name must begin with a letter.
    3. Type in a description for the layout in the Name field.
    4. Select the Default Setting check box if you want this layout to be the default layout every time you run
    the report.
    5. Click (Continue).
    Note: A warning message will appear if you are trying to save over an existing layout. Close the box by
    selecting the X in the upper right hand corner or choose Yes to overwrite the layout.

  • How to set PAPER SIZE in PRINT VIEW

    I am missing a step here in printing to Tabloid paper size.
    How do I set the paper size in the actual document or on the actual sheet?
    I am in Print View and I am guessing that it is showing the Sheets for my document as printing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper which appears to mean that no matter what I do - once I go to Print (like printing to Tabloid paper size) that this document will print at 8 1/2 x 11 even if it is printing on 11 x 17 paper.
    I understand that I need to move the slider to get the document to fit on the paper but it appears that right now I am doing this simply to get the document to fit on 8 1/2 x 11.
    Is there a setting somewhere that tells Print View what paper size to use? Is this set by Individual Sheet?
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Ah crimeny. This is Inspector > Page?
    I am getting a bit confused as to how to print on various size paper and how to SAVE THESE SETTINGS.
    For EACH SHEET I have to do the following:
    First I pulldown to the Printer and the Page Size in INSPECTOR
    THEN I scale the Sheet Manually to fit this paper in PRINT VIEW
    THEN I run PRINT?
    Now what?
    Is there a way to get this to Print in Color instead of Black and White?
    Can I make some PRESETS somewhere that will let me print to this printer at Tabloid size in Color and then in Black and White and also make some PRESETS that will let me print 8 1/2 x 11 and 12 x 18 so I can just pulldown to these?
    Thanks for any help. I'm not on a deadline but I am losing this battle apparently...

  • HELP: How to set WSDL at runtime (in Flex 4)?

    Hi,
    My flex application needs to communicate with a Web Service whose location is not known until after deployment; the service's location is known and static during development.  This means that my application should be able to communicate with the service whose wsdl url will be different from the "wsdl" value embedded in the Flex-generated code.
    I can compute the wsdl url of the deployed service in the application at runtime.  However, I am unable to get the application to talk to the service running at the new location.
    Specifically, in application_creationCompleteHandler(), I do:
    var wsdl:String = hostString+"axis2/myService?wsdl";
    myWSvc = new MyWSvc(wsdl);
    In the constructor of MyWSvc(), which is the subclass of the auto-generated class for the My Web Service, I do:
    public function MyWSvc(runtimeWSDL:String=null) {
         super();
         if (runtimeWSDL != null) {
              wsdl = runtimeWSDL;
              _serviceControl.loadWSDL(wsdl);
              //model_internal::loadWSDLIfNecessary();
    This does not work; the auto-generated code always uses the WSDL value embedded in the auto-generated class for the My Web Service.
    I would greatly appreciate your expert help in solving or getting around this issue.
    Much thanks,
    --Hyong

    Here is what I did.
    I set the settings for each environment in separate settings.xml files in SVN under seperated directories (dev,qa,prod).
    Here is the syntax of the settings.xml files. Each will have its respective URLs.
    <flex-config>
    <compiler>
        <define>
            <name>CONFIG::webServiceURL</name>
            <value>'http://www.xxxxxx.com/webservice_test/echocf7remote.cfc?wsdl'</value>
        </define>
    </compiler>
    </flex-config>
    The deploy.sh script asks for the environment value (dev,qa or prod) among other params, and then passes that in to the Ant like this (note there are extra params for our setup):
    ant -v -f build.xml -Dprojectname=${PROJECTNAME} -Dbranchname=${BRANCHNAME} -Dversion=${VERSION} -Denvironment=${ENV} -Dbuilddir=${BUILD_DIR} >> ${LOG_FILE}
    These params are used inside the build.xml
    After the Ant script checks the code out from SVN in to a staging directory, we load the proper settings.xml from the proper directory based on the user specified environment (in the deploy.sh).
    <load-config filename="${staging.conf}/${settings.conf}/${environment}/settings.xml"/>
    ${staging.conf} is defined in the build.properties and ${environment} is passed in the Ant call in the deploy.sh based on user provided input.
    So if the user specifies 'dev' during the deploy.sh execution, then we would load the /build/staging/config/dev/settings.xml
    Then in the pre-generates stabs I set the var at the top:
    private static const wsdlURL:String = CONFIG::webServiceURL;
    and modify the code bellow from hardcoded:
    //wsdl = "http://www.xxxxxx.com/webservice_test/echocf7remote.cfc?wsdl";
    to using the var:
    wsdl = wsdlURL;
    The nice thing is that all of the settings.xml 's are stored in the SVN and the correct version is used based on the environment provided by the user input during deployment script execution.
    Perhaps there is a more elegant way of doing this but this works and we already use Ant, SVN and a deployment shell script so it fits right in for us.

  • Adobe Form (standard) how to set paper weight?

    We realized an Adobe Form related to deliveries. The form is printed on a paper with the weight of 160g (which is the double of a normal paper).
    When the printer settings are put correctly to 160g the print out releases an error message.
    Apparently the form message does commit a paper weight parameter to the printer. The missmatch (form: "normal" paper / printer: 160g) does release an error message. Where does the parameter for the paper weight in the Adobe Form can be found? Where can we change it?
    When we change the printer settings to normal paper the form is printed. But with a low printing quality due to the false settings.
    Printer is a RICOH Aficio SPC430DN.

    Hi Claudine,
    in the form itself you are able to set the specific paper. You should change it here to A4 Special and afterwards modify your XDC-File to this special output-format. To do this you may need someone of the basis-guys also.
    Paperformat must be located somewhere when you click on masterpage in your tree. I do not got a system available at the moment

  • Please help how to set/get a class object in hashtable or hashmap?

    Hi, everybody.
    I'd like to generate a class-object list in hashtable.
    However, compilation is error. Here is my code:
    Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
    Class tmp_obj;
    tmp_obj = Class.forName("my_class_name_1");
    ht.put("my_class_name_1", tmp_obj);
    tmp_obj = Class.forName("my_class_name_2");
    ht.put("my_class_name_2", tmp_obj);
    Class selected_object = ht.get("my_class_name");
    ^here compilation error: incompitable types
    Could anybody tell me where is wrong in my code and how to
    correct it?
    Thank you in advance.
    Jeff

    Look at the javadoc for Hashtable. The get method returns an Object. You will need to cast it to a Class object.
    Class selected_object = (Class)ht.get( "my_class_name" );If you are using JDK5.0, then you should look up generics.

    I have been created a Windows FileSystem repository. and I can access it when I am Administrator.  but I can not access it using another user. How can I make these user can access that folder?
    thanks, best regards

    You need to do the user mapping of the user to their windows id and password.  Make sure it is in the format DOMAIN/username.  Your administrator can see them because they are a special user called a system principle.

  • How to set portal context using Java/JPDK api.

    Hi,
    I am in the process of converting pl/sql based database provider contect portlets to Java based JPDK. I ran into issue where the database provider portlet users were getting context auto matically. Now with Java/JPDK portlets , I am receiving no data found error, since the context is not set. The pl/sql is setting wwctx_private_api.set_context ('portal') to set the context. From Java if we call this api, it is taking a toll on the performance and the portlet times out.
    Can any help how to set the context for a web provider using JPDK or any other better solution. Any immediate help is highly appreciated.
