HELP! - HP LJ 1020 printout vertical streaks

Recently has this problem on my printout of HP LaserJet 1020 on whatever I print.
A 1cm thick vertical black band appears on the printout about 8cm from the right paper edge. I am using original HP toner.
What is the solution?

Ensure the printer is directly connected to a wall socket, not through any power strips, extensions or surge protectors.

Blue vertical streak on papers hp color laserjet cm1015 mfp

Recently my printer has printed 2 blue vertical streaks on documents I print. I checked the supply levels and there is still about 45% of the ink left for all the toner colors. I tried using the cleaning mode, but it didn't help the problem. If somebody could help me with my problem it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

30 Inch Cinema Display with Vertical Streaks

Hi All,
I've started to notice very pale vertical streaks on my screen. So far, they seem to be along the edges and are particularly visible when blues and other dark colors are displayed.
It's not a big deal, but the monitor was about $2,000 and is only about 2 years old.
What is this? Is it "normal"?
I have Apple Care... thinking it might be time to use it!

Robert, My 30 Apple monitor started with blueish-green vertical lines outlining the texture of my desktop. It is present on photo's, web-pages and even video I may review. Vertical streaks on 2009 20in iMac screen

These vertical streaks have been developing over the past few months. Is there a way to fix this without having a new display fitted? Screenshot attached.

Hello, I see no streaks in the screenshot here, but that is taken at the Video card, not the actual screen.
You can test it youself...
Take a screen shot & view that in Preview, move the Preview window around, if you see double lines it's a Video card/VRAM problem, if the lines do not move moving the pic around then it's the LCD or cable.

Vertical Streaks

I have a 30 inch Cinema Display that only displays vertical streaks when I turn the computer on. *Is there a quick fix?!?*
I have used multiple 150 watt power supplies with the monitor. The problem remains with each one.

Vertical streaks on Lumia 820 display

I see very distinguishable vertical banding and streaks on my Lumia 820. I first noticed them on dark grey backgrounds but now also on e.g. Nokia TV menus. Is this normal?

no this is not normal at all. have you tried performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates)? Failing that, it sounds more like a case of hardware failure so you will need to take your phone back to your point of purchase...if they are being less than helpful, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

Help need in Stacked bar vertical - No data found message

I am using Stacked bar vertical with the 3 series. The problem is if any one of the series returns zero rows for the query it displays the No data found message for all the series and blank graph is there on screen with just x and y axi with the name.
The result i want is if any series in the graph returns zero row for the query it should executed the other series and show the graph accordingly for the series fetch the data.
all these queries are returning the data when run on database instead of one.
Can anyone help me for this?

Generally speaking, if you want your queries to return "dense" data, you must ensure that a zero (Y value) is returned against each X value. If your queries return no rows, it means you must "artificially" create values, probably rewriting the queries with an outer join to a table returning the desired X values and using NVL function to replace null (Y) values with zeros.
Also, be careful with the order of X values, it really matters, otherwise you'll get skewed charts!

Help with Spry Menu Bar Vertical

I have a page (html) with 3 frames (Top, Left, and Main). The
Left Frame will have the Spry Vertical Menu that will expand it's
submenus to the right, which I want it to overlap to the Main Frame
(which is to the right of the Left frame) .
Attempts:
1) I have increase the Z-Index of the Menu to a greater value
than anything on all frames, but this didn't working.
Please help!

I too have a similar problem if not exactly the same. I am
finding it difficult getting information about it because I don't
really know how to describe what is happening!
In essence when I have a menu bar as you describe on the left
and another placeholder AP div to teh right of that menus when I
preview in a browser the whole things collapses and is very very
sensitive when you try to navigate to the right and drop out menu
Mine are vertical (popping out to the left!)
Now if I remove the place holder all is fine BUT I need to
use the place holder to position a collapsible panel.
At one stage I thought it was the collapsable panel causing
issues but an empty AP DIV tag all cause the issue!

Help! Dell 1355cnw Prints Vertical Colour Lines and Blotches

Question = Have I messed my printer drum and/or belt?
History = My 1355cnw recently started printing short vertical magenta scuff lines at the tops of each page over the same 15mm width in the same place each time. I cleaned the fuser with IPA and used the toner cleaning wand on the toners to no effect.
I the used an airduster to blow out all the dust and loose toner from all accessible angles/ holes in casing
Doing this prevented the paper pickup shoe from working as it had become contaminated with dust so i fed a piece of paper partially dampened with IPA into the printer via the tray printing a blank page - it came out dry but there are now scuff marks of all colours across the width of the page :o(
The first page printed of several blank pages also has repetitive colour toner coloured blotches up the page.
Post print opening the back door reveal toner on the transfer belt and the sponge grip wheel where i'm sure I haven't seen it before.
Additionally, since this incident i am now seeing scuff marks being transfered onto the non-print of the paper - presumeably from all the loose toner flying around.
I have printed out the 4 colour configuration chart and the drum refresh configuration chart and they both have the same sreak paterns down them (JPGs available) but they look a mess! They look like a grand prix started on them!
Have I messed my printer and if so which bits? Any and all help offered is greatly appreciated to cover my blushes in making the print issue 100 times worse!!

Reply much appreciated. Although I do not claim to have much knowledge of this type of hardware and software problems but they do give me a challenge. I have been trying various things. while I was doing this, switching the pc on and off, at one point the display on LCD came back.
When I checked the status in Device manager the error message,'WINDOWS HAS STOPPED THIS DEVICE AS WINDOWS HAS REPORTED PROBLEM (CODE 43) had disappeared and it said.' The device is working properly'!
I notice that the CPU temp rises upto about 51 deg C, the fan goes crazy (fast and slow)and the temp falls down and fluctuates between 27 and 48.
The screen goes blank again and come on some time and most times not!
To me it looks like that the chipset gives up when too hot.
I intend to open up the laptop and see if the GPU chip is seated, has good contact with its heatsink etc.
If anyone has any further suggestions, will be appreciated.

IMac 8.1 dual core intel 21.5" 2007/8 has vertical streaks on display screen, what is the cause

my display has verticle streaks tat seem to be on everything, they are not differently colored than the background, just spaced about every 2.5-3 inches with a light dark light band space of about 2 inches and then again, repeated across the screen. It shows up on everything, but is more visible on some content than others. is it a video card going or what?

Thanks a lot! If i am going to spend a lot to get it fixed, i think I will wait a while and maybe get a new Imac or maybe a mini mac. with a separate monitor. I do love my imac, and before we got our macs we had many problems with viruses, crashed hard drives & various other problems. With the Imac, even though my husbands and mine are supposed to be the same they have suttle differences. but I have had a problem with the computer I have on warrenty it needed something replaced, Then this last fall we had 3 power outages in a row. They are on surge protectors, but even so, they shut themselves off, or the power did like a cold boot. after the power came back on, I turned it on, and then shortly thereafter the power went off again. Thensame scenario. and one more power failure. i think it was not the surge as I don;t think there would or could have been one, but because it was basically a cold boot 3 times in a row and the computer did not shut down properly, it crashed and would not come on. My husband, worked on it for a week and finally got a blue screen, and was able to get it going enough to format the hard drive. and re install everything. But a lit of files would not reinstall. I had a small 1 terrabyte backup and it was plugged in and programmed to cycle every day at certain times. Well to make a long story short, it did not like the cold boot any more than the computer. we ere able to save about 1/2 of my files. part of which was my photos. I had had 23,000 photos, and now i had 87,000, unorganized photos with many duplicates. it is a slow proceedure, but I have got that # down to 60,000 so far. I am missing my best folder I had with some genealogy info & other stuff in it. Was my personal folder. It would not load into the re done computer. but I still have the hard drive in case things change. Vertical streaks in pictures

I bought an HP Photosmart plus B209a about a month ago and when I hooked it up (wireless) it printed a test picture and it was AMAZING. I went to print some pictures tonight and they have streaks in them. I went and bought new paper and cartridges (both HP brand) and they are still there. I dont know what to do it is soo irratating. Has anyone had this problem and what can I do to fix it? Thanks!

The findings from your email shows that the issue is not caused by the cartridge or the printer. Since the streaks are appearing only while printing photos, I recommend that you use HP Advanced Photo paper.
Next, under the Printer properties, ensure that the 'paper type' or 'print quality' setting is not set to 'Automatic'. Select the correct paper type and also select print quality as 'Best'.
You can also try to print from a different application to see if there is an improvement.
