Help!  I accidentally deleted "music videos" how do I get it back??????

Help!!! I have been having mega difficulty since upgrading to iTunes 7.4.1---big mistake upgrading to that!!! Anyway I've had numerous problems----in my process to make everything work properly---I noticed I had duplicate listings under "music videos"----when I tried to delete the duplicates it deleted the catagory "music videos"-----they are listed under purchased videos, but I can't find "music videos". Now, as a result I can't put my videos on my iPod---it won't recognize and alternate "music videos" file I placed under playlists. So, how do I get the catagory "music videos" back with my purchased videos listed???? I have Windows Vista Home Premium on a Hewlett Packard computer. Thanks for any and all assistance you can give me.

Can I still take into consideration re-installing the entire OS?
You can, but extracting just the QT Player app would be faster.
I tried using Pacifist to extract the QT X Player but I can't find it.
When the Pacifist list of extract items is displayed, check the following path...
Contents of OSInstall.mkpg
   Contents of EssentialsSystemSoftware
      Contents of EssentialSystemsSoftwareGroup
         Contents of Essentials.pkg
            Applications
               QuickTime Player.app
I just performed a test extraction from my original Snow Leopard upgrade installer disc and had no problems using this path.

    reinstall from the original source
    Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer
    or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
    or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

  • Accidentally Deleted Bluetooth Plugin, How do I Get it Back?

I recently used MacCleanse to erase some unwanted plugins from my MacBook Pro and I must have accidentally deleted one from my bluetooth which allows me to play music through a bluetooth speaker. It says it's connecting but the sound still comes through the internal speakers? Is there a fix? Please and thankyou!

First, as you have already found out, using those third-party utilities is a bad idea and totally unnecessary. End of lecture.
You did not indicate what level of OS X you are running. If you are on OS X 10.9, I would restore the system (which reloads OS X without disturbing your data. I would also UNINSTALL MacCleanse at once.

  • Accidentally deleted iDVD program - how can I get it back??

Hi, I have a G4 that was handed down to me from a relative - it's running 10.3.9. Problem is, it came with iDVD on it but I accidentally erased it. I have video in iMovie that I want to burn to a DVD.
Is there any way to get iDVD back?? I have the Mac OS X operating system disks but those do not have the iDVD app. on them! I thought I could download it from this site, but all I see are upgrades. Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated - thanks!
P.S. I have an external LaCie DVD burner.

Yep, it sure will. You may have to install an app called, 'Patch Burn' if you find an older version of iLife, but versions 06 and 08 support external burners without the patch. Ask your friends first.

  • Accidentally deleted mail app: How do I get it back?

Today I somehow managed to delete my mail app -- it's totally gone. I can't find a way to get it back. Anyone know how I can reinstall it? I tried a fresh reinstall but it seems to remember my last setting with it gone. I have an iPhone 4.

It is not possible to delete any of the apps included with the firmware/OS. None of the apps included with the firmware/OS are available as a separate download and install because it isn't necessary.
If you are unable to locate the app within any folder on any home page, on your iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Home Screen Layout.

I'm guessing iTunes store won't let you get them again even though you paid for them????
Correct. You get only one download per purchase (with the exceptions of applications from the App Store).

  • I deleted a video, how do i bring it back?

i deleted a video, how do i bring it back?

One you made or a purchased one?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.

  • I deleted app iphoto, how can i get it back please ?

    hi,
i deleted app iphoto, how can i get it back please ?
    thanxc for your answer

Did you really delete it intentionally or accidentally? If you accidentally deleted the application from the Applications folder, look if it is still in the Trash and put it back or restore it from your backup.
If you deleted it intentionally and deinstalled it, you need to reinstall it - depending on how it was installed originally, see Terence Devlin's answer here:

I want to listen to internet radio as I used to do. The selection "Radio" has gone from my list under "Music". How do I get it back again?

I don't know if this is what you really want, but I created a Playlist for Radio, and add some of the stations I like from websites. (If you click on the web-links they load into iTunes in the Sidebar). And you can also add individual Radio stations from the top right,(under Apple) to a Playlist. That's the only way I know to have them in the Sidebar.
Z_ZS-B, You also helped me to find the old Radio list! I didn't even know it was up on the right, under Apple. I haven't liked this version of iTunes so I hadn't even bothered to try and figure it out until now, but because I just bought a my first iPod Shuffle I'm determined to bend this version to my will. ;-)

You can redownload iTunes purchases at no additional cost by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

With the phone connected to the computer and iTunes, sync the music back.

    Downgrade Mavericks to Snow Leopard
      1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
          Utilities menu.
      2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then
the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART
info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on
the Partition tab in the DU main window.
      3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups made while on Snow Leopard, then you may do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion/Mountain Lion files.
