Help! I can only print letter size

I have Photoshop Elements 7, Windows XP, and an HP Photosmart 8250 printer. When I try to print from the Editor my picture gets truncated to letter size. My default printer setting is A4. I can select A4 in Page Setup and click OK. But if I open Page Setup again it has gone back to letter size. Please help me. How can I stop this happening? (I used to have Photoshop 7 and had no problem. Now I have Elements and I am having problems!)

Change the paper size to A4 from the page set up dialog box and then print.

Help please can only print grey

i am using a canon bjc80 which when i test print it prints all colours and black
but when i print from pages or even word every thing is printed in grey i cannot find what i am doing wrong any help please

You didn't say, so I'll ask - have you looked at all the options in the Copies & Pages pull-down menu?

HP Officejet Pro L7590, can't print legal size

I am trying to print legal size documents from Open Office (can't) and from GIMP, (can't) on my MacBook Pro, OSx (10.6). I have changed page format to legal, changed default page size for printer to legal, changed page setup everywhere I can find a place to change it, and still, it will only print letter size. What is going on? (Open Office 3.21, GIMP 2.6). I have reinstalled printer driver twice, and all updates that I can find.

Hey there. Have you changed the destination paper size to legal inside the paper handling menu? Here is what I mean:
1. Open Printer menu
2. Select the Paper Handling option
3. Check Scale to fit paper size, also use the drop down "Destination Paper Size" to choose legal.

I have the same problem with my HP C6380 MY8CJ880F6. For me it is +80% of what I am printing I only get 1 page and has to print the rest 1 by 1. The problem is 6 month old and I have tried almost everything except the right solution ;-}
Setup Windows 7, 64 bit (Danish). Wireless communication.
I have tried reinstalling, use HP diagnostics and a lot of other things. Diagnostics says everything is fine. Microsoft Fix It diagnostics says the same about the Windows 7 printer support functions.
My other printer a HP Designjet 111 runs perfect. When I am out of office I use other printers no problems. But the HP C6380 will in most applications especially Acrobat Reader only print 1 page at a time.
I have tried to change the printer into factory settings that sometimes do the trick for the Microsoft Office 10 products installed but not for Acrobat. Most of my documents are PDF so either i get the fixed or I will have to invest in another printer.
Any body with a solution ?

Thanks John for the suggestion. I was finally able to dwonload the newest drivers today when I signed on. Seems like if you let one day go by Software Update will look at your version of the driver and will finally let you download the newest. That did not help. Nothing but communication errors. It would not even let me load the the new driver as it would no longer ever see the printer.
Yesterday, for further explanation, I was working at the computer when I heard the printer chime a few times. When I looked over the green light, which normally signals it is receiving a file to print, was flashing away. I was doing nothing and I finally had to turn it off. I spoke with another techie friend who is a big Mac user and has the same printer and he suggested it may be the USB circuit. This printer has been on for 5 years with a few days off. We have concluded the circuits are past their useful life and I will soon send the printer to be recycled somewhere. A new printer is on the way as I need this device.

How do I print just 1 web page in FF 29 ? With 29 you can only change the first field ( 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, etc. ) That means I can only print all 5 pages,

So I cant seem to print just the 1st of 5 pages. The default setting , 1 of 5, will print all 5 pages. The 2nd field can not be altered, as it could in previous FF versions, to 1 of 1. Therefore, I can only print all 5 pages, 2 through 5, 3 through 5, etc. WTF - I keep wasting print paper. I got the print edit add-on but that doesn't seem to help. I have been through several FF versions and do not like the format of 29.

The application "Mail" cannot be launched. -10810
Of cause if I'm trying to open up something else than mail, lets say iPhoto, it will say "iPhoto".
This is very weird to me, and I'm normally pretty good at solving issues myself, but I'm stuck with this one.

I've had this quite a lot too. Do you find that under these conditions you can't load a disk image either?
At first I put this down to Rosetta taking up a lot of resources. I was running OmniWeb with a lot of pages open in the workspaces so I've switched back to Safari until OmniWeb is UB. This morning I read that having Windows file sharing switched on helps to cause this problem. I switched this off, rebooted and ran disk utility to repair disk permissions and I've been running OK since then. I've currently got 13 apps open plus Finder and Widgets. They include 2 bigguns, Eclipse/MyEclipse and Visual Paradigm for UML. It'll probably stop working now I've written that.
I run a MBP 17 with 2GB memory. My guess is that Windows file sharing does cause problems. I just hope Apple has resolved this in 10.4.7... whenever that is.

Can only print from certain programs. Started suddenly.

Everything was working just fine and then suddenly I can only print from InDesign and Word. And when I print from InDesign I can't change any settings in the "print" dialog box or the program freezes and crashes. When I try to print from firefox, photoshop, illustrator among others, it freezes and crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the print driver and restarting my computer numerous times and the problem persists. (Unless I am not doing it properly) I go into my printer settings and remove the printer then go back in and reinstall it.
Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated as this is affecting my ability to do my job efficiently. Thanks so much.

Firefox cuts off the URL in your printout, if it's really long, and you also have on the same line (header or footer), the Date and Pages

I have two questions:
To fix, do a custom setting, for the Header and Footer as follows:
Print / Page Setup / Margins & Header/Footer / "Customize" the "Left" as follows (leave Center and Right all blank)

To change the format of the Short date in Win 8.1, go to:
Control Panel / Date and Time / Date and Time tab / Change date and time / Change calendar settings /
Date / Short date . . . change from M/d/yyyy . . . to . . . MM/dd/yy
QUESTIONS:
1.) How do you get rid of the time, which appears after the date? In IE, you use a lowercase "d" - but that doesn't work here.
2.) Is there a way to change the font just for the Header and Footer, to something like Microsoft Sans Serif 10?
Firefox leaves no room around the text in the Header and Footer at the edge. To fix:
Address Bar / about:config
Enter keyword "edge"
Then change all four values for the printer you're using to:
print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom . . . 5
print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_left . . . 10

Can only print one page

Hi,
I can only print the first page of my pdf files, i have tried from other workstations (there are about 15 on a domain) and they don't have an issue and i have also tried different printers.
I get the first page ok then the second page is blank and the third page has the following:
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: TKPSVK+ArialMT
OPERAND STACK:
false
I have tried uninstalling and restarting then reinstalling but i still have the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, here are a couple of ideas to try....
Go to Help and try Detect and Repair.
If you have Acrobat, you can try to distill the document or try a Save As

I can only print 25 songs on a playlist.

I used to be able to print 27 songs on any of my printlists. Now I can only print 25. Is there a way to get back to 27? I already have it set to small print.

I am having the same problem- i HATE itunes 11. I have tried clicking on the play button next to the playlist title, tried checking, unchecking, selecting all, selecting none.....I give up.
