Help! I can't find the number/model number/serial number for my printer!!!

To help with a printer problem it is often very important to know exactly what printer you are using and usually just "Photosmart", "Envy", or "Laserjet" is not quite enough to narrow the possible troubleshooting down. Even different generations of the same model can use different hardware or software. While HP does put this info in multiple places finding this info can sometimes be difficult or near on impossible if you dont know where to look or what you are looking for. No, the SN will only help identify the iPod as yours IF it is recovered

Oh and the other thing is that when I'm trying to save a picture as something that I like its say the the directory is full even when I put a single letter. See if you can boot into safe mode by holding down the shift key immediately after pressing the start button. Keep holding the shift key till a loading progress bar appears on the lower part of the screen. It will take a lot longer than normal to start this way. If you have Lion 10.7 installed you can try holding command-R keys to get intto recovery mode and run disk utility.

You might need to bring up the menu bar to see the File menu.
If you're using a version 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:

Syncing and Deletion of Calendar Entries--HELP I Can't Find the Setting to Stop the Deletion of Older Calendar Appts

PLEASE HELP! It is important that I keep a history of my appointments in my Outlook calendar--regardless of age. However, whenever I sync my Tour to my desktop, all calendar items that are of a certain age are prompted for deletion.
While the Desktop Manager allows me to review the items that will be deleted, it will not allow me to remove the items from the deletion list and continue the sync function for all of the other items I need synced between my desktop and my device.
Any suggestions?

You said you're "using the Outlook 2007 Conduit" -- does this mean you installed the Outlook 2007 Update on top of Palm Desktop 6.2.2? If so, that may be a problem as 6.2.2 comes with 2007 compatibility built into it!
I have read several posts recently where a user made the same mistake, and it caused some problems. If throwing the switch above does not fix things, I'd uninstall/reinstall Palm Desktop, but do NOT install the Outlook 2007 patch.

Help: error: can not find the main class!

when I run the class, the following error message comes up:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: j2sdk1/4/1
and also a dialogue window (title is "java virtual machine launcher") comes up: could not find the main class, program will exit! After I click ok button, another error message shows up: Exception in thread "main" .

I can not find the safe mode option

Once again, my address bar had vanished. This time, the option is still checked to display it, and turning it off and on again does nothing. The help pages suggest going into Safe Mode to fix this, but the .exe is not in my Mozilla folder. I tried searching for it using Start>Search, but got nothing.
At the same time this happened, all my buttons (default and custom) were removed from my menu bars and returned to the customise window.
What can I do please?

Help - Forte Can't Find the Browser

Help! I've installed Forte on Windows NT 4.0, it will compile and build successfully, but when I try to execute,I get the message
"Could not access the URL through the external browser". It also says that when I hit the "Web Browser" option in the Menu bar.
The log file follows, so you can see all my settings and stuff. Internet Explorer is my default browser.

This happened to me also (I'm using Windows XP though). It's because Forte doesn't know how to communicate with Explorer through DDE (at least on some peoples' systems). You can tell Forte to launch the browser through the command line, and that should work. To do this, go to Tools, Options, IDE Configuration, System, System Settings and choose External Browser (Command Line) from the dropdown. Then go to IDE Configuration, Server and External Tools, Web Browsers, External Browser (Command Line) and under Browser Executable write C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe URL (of course, use the appropriate path to iexplore.exe if it's not the one above). Or, you could just select Forte's internal Swing-based browser under System Settings, but it doesn't have as many features as Internet Explorer.

Please help! Can't find the option 'Press enter key to send'

Hi guys, Recently I cleared my whatsapp data and cache accidently. Till then I was using my slide keyboard 'enter key' to send the message. I was able to restore my whatsapp but the 'enter key' is taking me to a new line instead of sending the message, which is annoying. Well, this is a setting in the whatsapp and not the phone itself. Unfortunately I haven't used whatsapp myself but maybe someone else here has and can help you out.

I can't find the READER Mode in the Search window? I'm using OS X 10.10.1 and Sarfari 8.02

Once in a Web-Site, if I wish to read an article I could click on the READER box in the Search Window and just the article would come forward blocking out everything else.

If an article is "Reader" capable, a 3½ bars gray icon will appear at the left most part in address bar
Click it and it will turn black indicating that the article is in Reader mode.

After installing Lion, many of the sites I go to in Safari fail an the screen message states that Safari "can't find the server." I've tried a number of suggested solutions but still no luck.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution?

Thanks C F McBlob but I recursively changed the permissions of my Music directory meaning every file and directory beneath it, as well as the directory itself, had the write permissions added.
I used "chmod -R u+w ./Music" and chmod -R g+w ./Music" to do it.
Alas, no cigar. :-(

My new 6th gen ipod seems to be chinese - can anyone help? Can't find the language menu because - it's all in chinese (I think)

I have signed into my iCloud and would like to see what exactly is stored in it but all I am able to click on is mail, contacts, calendar, just the basics. I can't find the movies. Do I need iTunes Match for that?

Movies are not stored in your iCloud account unless you add them in the theater feature of iMovie version 10.
