Help! I can't get USB to work

Ok at first I was having problems with running any 3d games. I still have this problem. What it does is it totally freezes the system during the middle of play at random spots. Then I decided what the heck I guess I need to get all the new drivers and stuff. So I got everything installed from the Live Update 2 except for the Bios update and the USB update. My OS is Windows XP so I don't have any choice but getting that USB update via LU2. So I tried installing that update and during the install when it tries to find an install wizard for the USB it freezes the machine and disables all usb divices. No usb devices work after I did this install.I've tried installing it 4 times. I get the same result each time. I don't care how I can do it I just want my usb back up. Can somebody help me?
Oh and I think that the 3d game prob is that I need to get an actual AGP card so that it doesn't overheat the graphics chip and perhaps a better heatsync for the Pentium 4 2.26 Ghz chip.

Try this driver, it is from intel.
The intel VGA integrated in the 845G chipset is known to be less than perfict (or actually very poor).
There was an article about how it has incompatabilities with games.
Even a Gf2 MX200 is stronger than it so practicly any card you would but is stronger.

Help! Can't get network to work

I have Solaris 10 installed and running smoothly.. except I can NOT get my NIC card working. I swear it's harder to configure networking on Solaris than anything i've ever delt with. I have a 3COM 3C450 PCI NIC card, how do I know if Solaris has the drivers for this card installed, how do I install them, and how do I configure my IP address? I'm definetly not a Unix newbe, I've worked with Irix and AIX for many years, but this is extremely frustrating.

First step:
Check if the driver is running correctly. Type in "/usr/sbin/prtconf" or "/usr/sbin/prtconf -v".
This command prints information about all devices in the system and if the device is recognized by a driver or not (a message "Driver not attached" is shown if not). The "-v" variant shows more detailed information (you will get a huge number of lines).
Second step:
Find out the name of the network card (example: /dev/hme0). Unlike Linux the ethernet cards do not all have the name /dev/eth* but different types of cards have different names (/dev/le*, /dev/ce*, /dev/hme*, ...).
Third step:
Test the card once:
Type
ifconfig name plumb
name is the name of the network card without "/dev/"; example:
ifconfig hme0 plumb
The card is recognized as network card by the system. Then type:
ifconfig name IP_address up
Example:
ifconfig hme0 12.34.56.78 up
The card is assigned an IP address and started.
Fourth step:
Installing the card in the configuration files:
Add an IP address - host name pair for your computer in the /etc/hosts file.
Then type
echo my_host_name > /etc/hostname.cardname
Example:
echo mycomputer > /etc/hostname.hme0
Then reboot the computer.
Using DHCP is a bit more complex.

Help! Can't get iChat to work.

I've created two iChat accounts so I could help my nice with any issues with her mac, but we can't connect to eachother. Our statuses are set to available but they don't show as available when we log in.
I can't figure out why it's not working. I didn't block anyone on either end.

Your specs say OS X 10.6.8 which means iChat 5 on Snow Leopard.
You mention she has a new Macbook which suggests Lion (OS X 10.7.x) and iChat 6
These should be compatible.
Are you both using the same type of Buddy List ?
You says you have not Blocked anyone implying that this is an AIM Name at your end and that you have iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Security tab set to Allow All
Has she also registered some form of AIM valid Screen Name ?
AIM name (Any name registered with an AOL company stripped of the @server.com bits) like my main screen name of ralphjohnsr that came from Netscape)
An AIM name that contains either @aim.com and @AOL.com as part of the ID
Apple IDs ending in @mac.com or @me.com (with passwords of 16 characters or Less)
Any Email registered with AIM (such as using a Hotmail ID as the AIM screen name).
There are ways to get cross service Buddies in the same list but that is not for now.
Make sure you both have the same type of Buddy List (where you login in to.)
This will be either AIM or Jabber as you do not have iChat 6 according to your specs.

Can't get OCISvcCtxToLda to work

I'm hacking PERL DBD::Oracle to be able to

Re: Can't get Mic to work? I'm using the Steelseries Siberias headset, with a standalone Zalman mic. I never unplugged them, I only reformatted from a cracked verion of Windows 7, to a legit version of Windows 7. The versions were actually the exact same, and now I regreat Formatting.

I've just gottren really frusterated. I'm about ready to go back down to XP just to get this to work, I use my microphone for so many different things.

If not, what happens if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8

Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive

Run the cleaner, reinstall.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
And don't bother with running any updates unless you really need them or they fix a critical issue relevant to your workflow.

Do you have a URL where I can take a look at the issue? It may be a configuration issue or it may be a bug so I just want to check and make sure.
In terms of the radio buttons one, I just published up update to the Forms+ Widget this morning that includes a new way to do grouping for radio buttons. Creative Cloud should download the updated version of the .mulib file into your downloads folder (and it should now be called something like FormsPlus Bundle.mulib), and you can double click that to add the updated widgets to your Muse library. The one I'm referring to in particular is called the "Radio Group (Box Selection)" widget. Basically, when you drag the widget out onto the page, it shows a dotted line box and you simply drag and resize the box around the radio items you'd like to group together. The box itself won't be exported so you don't have to worry about that, but it will allow you to visually group them instead of doing so with labels.
Let me know if you have any trouble getting the new update or using the box selection widget and I'd be happy to help further.

Help!! Can't get BeforeReport to work

I am in desperate need of help - I have tried opening an SR and I was told using parameters was a customization and I needed to hire a consultant. I also tried to email my instructor from my XML Publisher class but she told me to check the user's guide....which I have done and to no avail. In fact, I have copied exactly based on the sample data template from the users guide to what I have and I still get an "Invalid Relational Operator".
I have to get this report published but can't get it to work - I will be happy to email or post my template and package body but need anyone's help who is willing to give it. I am sorry to sound so desperate but I am!!!

Yes, if you purchased it in an Apple store, they should be able to assist you. Bring your MBP with you as well as the Drive.

T500: Can't get WLAN to work!! HELP

Hey all, new to the Lenovo community so sorry if I sound like a noob.
I just bought a Thinkpad T500- 2056 CTO (Vista Business) from a colleague of mine. I searched the internet for the specs of this notebook and saw that it was equipped with an integrated WLAN card but I can't get it to work. I checked the Network Adapters in the Device Manager but there was only an Ethernet Gigabit driver. I tried downloading the only 2 different drivers that Lenovo's Support and Downloads has but that didn't work. Can anyone help me out? I'd greatly appreciate it.
