Help! i can't import movies from my computer onto my itunes!

they are VOB file type!

If you want to add movies to itunes, you have to cenvert them to m4p or m4v. For me it was a big proces, and i still dont understand why there is no plugin for itunes, so itunes can import mpg, avi etc.

I cannot add music from my computer onto my itunes library. I have tried dragging the songs, importing them, going to Add files and Add folders, copy and pasting. They just won't turn up in my itunes library.

You don't say where you are having problems. The best answer will depend upon what exactly you are trying to do. If you are trying to add one or two files, copy them to a flash drive, then drag them from the drive to an iTunes playlist. If you are trying to move your whole library that requires a different answer.
Note .wma files will work with iTunes on a PC but cannot be added to a Mac iTunes. Convert them to another format on the PC first (but I don't think you can do that if they are protected format).

Can't import movies from photobooth into imovie

In iMovie 11 (v9.0.4), our network users are unable to import movies from the isight camera. (File, Import from Camera). As soon as you click on "capture", then use the default event name, you get an error:
"You may not have permissions to write to /Network/Servers/rbserver.lan/SERVER_USERDATA/iMovie Events.localized."
I've tried creating this directory on the local machine, per this suggestion: http://lists.apple.com/archives/macos-x-server/2010/Apr/msg00305.html but to no avail...

I can't help you with your server question, but here is how I move and import video clips from Photo Booth into iMovie over my LAN:
(1) Use the Photo Booth > File > Export menu command
to create the actual clip I will move.
(2) Quit Photo Booth.
(3) File transfer the exported Photo Booth clip to the Mac that will do the iMovie work.
(4) Use the iMovie > File > Import > Movies... menu command
to import the clip into iMovie.
(5) Clean up (throw away) unneeded clips on both Macs.

I've been trying to import music from my computer into Itunes, And it isnt working
I have the latest version of Itunes
When I try adding the files by clicking add file in Itunes or by dragging, it does nothing
I know it means that the file is incompatible with Itunes, But I have put the same type of file into Itunes before with no issues (MP3)

Can't import tracks from an older version of iTunes

Since my rMBP has no optical drive I've found a practical use for my old G3 iMac which is for ripping CDs.
The G3 of course is only running iTunes 7.6 (the newest version available for G3 Macs) whereas my MBP is running the latest version.
I've shared the iTunes Library on the G3 and can access it on my MBP, and can even play tracks, but there is no Import button at the bottom of the window so I can't import the ripped tracks into my MBP iTunes. This works fine if I use my wife's MBP (my old one) which is also running the latest version of iTunes.
Have I missed a setting on the G3, or is this a limitation due to the big difference in iTunes versions?
I'm ripping to Apple Lossless if that matters.

Did You try to import Your material into iPhoto first. Then in iMovie Browser Window
select Top menu eg Macintosh HD or iPhoto.
My Leica D-Lux3 and Nikon D300s - needs it to be done this way.

What format is the movie in on the camcorder? Can you produce mpg movies? If so this will work to convert them to a format for the iPod.

If you do not see a checkbox to enable syncing photos, and instead see a message the iCloud Photos is on, then it indicates you have iCloud Photo Library enabled on your iPhone, and the photos already exist on your phone. To learn more about iCloud Photo Library, take a look at the article below.

I have lost all my music and the itunes application from my computer and it was not backed up. The music is on my ipod classic but I'm worried I will not be able to add more onto it without the original itunes folder containing my music files. Won't it wipe over the stored tunes on the ipod if I sync the new itunes program containing only the new music I want to add?.

There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes.
There is a very direct method, which I personally prefer, but there are also numerous third party applications, which will help you accomplish the task as well. I'm wondering how I can import pictures from iTunes to my iPhone. I have taken pictures with a camera, not my iPhone camera. And I got the pictures on my computer, just don't know how to import them to my itunes and then to my iPhone. And I also don't want to lose all my iPhone pictures in my camera roll when I do this.

Camera Roll is the folder on your iPhone which kept all the photos taken from your iPhone Camera or Photos received and saved from your email attachments. They will remain in that folder until you delete them. You may, however, import these photos to your Computer if you want to.

Now the other way round, if you want your Photos from your Computer(whether it's taken from other Digital camera or photos already on your computer) to be transferred to iPhone, you have to sync them over like I mentioned in the first reply.
