    Hi jlewis27,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you are not able to reinstall iTunes, be sure you have used these instructions to ensure that iTunes and all of its related components are removed from your computer:
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Disable your anti-virus while reinstalling iTunes.
If you still get a registry access error try b noir's user tip:

The technique can be applied to the branch of the registry mentioned in the error message.

  • Help! Cannot Install Itunes 10!

I was unable to play any songs in my iTunes library, so I uninstalled all the programs according the the support information on the apple website. I then tried reinstalling only to get the message
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below."
After clicking ok it said the path could not be found, then a message came up saying "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify the source exists and you can access it."
I am the only user on my computer so I should have access to everything, and searching on my computer did not result in the above file anywhere. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the same thing happened. Please help!

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below."
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try reinstalling iTunes again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Cannot reinstall iTunes - 64bit version on Win7 computer

When trying to install (actually reinstall) iTunes (itunes6464setup) as an administrator (Windows7), the install ends with the following message:" iTunes Installer completed. Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured.   Your system has not been modified.  To complete the installation, run the installer again. Click Finish to exit the installer"  The same message results with each successive try.
I've found the instructions on how to uninstall iTunes after already deleting parts of iTunes and therefore did not uninstall the components in the proper sequence. I suspect that is a big part of my issue.
I've deleted all the folders associated with iTunes as mentioned in the instructions - none exist on my computer anymore. I've done a search for anything containing "iTunes" and "apple" and removed all that I could manually.
I've disabled anti-virus software prior to trying the install - no help. I've "cleaned" the registry and used utility programs to make sure I have no other issues.
At this point I am at a loss and would appreciate any help - short of reinstalling windows itself. Thanks in advance.
