Help!!! i cant connect my ps4 controller to my ps4 pllsss help!!
Turn off the PlayStation 4 by pressing the power button on the front panel. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.Once the PlayStation 4 is off, press and hold the power button. Release it after you've heard two beeps: one when you initially press, and another 7 seconds later.Connect the DualShock 4 controller with the provided USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.Then choose option 5 rebuild database.When your ps4 reboots it should now connect ok.

No your right it shouldn't, but i was acting under the assumption that the op had already tried the usb cable but it didn't work. The exact same thing happened to my son's controller it did not matter what he did (usb cable, reset button and ps4 turned off fully then back on) nothing worked. So i tried the options i listed in my above post and it worked, also afterwards i thought i would search the problem and you'd be suprised how wide spread the problem is.

I would be happy to help you with this. You can either open the appropriate ports or set the PS4 to DMZ/passthrough mode. Below are posts that go over it. Just choose the U-verse Gateway that matches yours. Also, the instructions are to add another router, but you can use them for any device.

If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

Your Airport device may be in Bridge Mode.

Maunally restore it. In order to do this:
-Download the iOS 5.1.1 firmware from here http://www.redmondpie.com/download-5.1.1-ios-for-iphone-4s-4-3gs-ipad-ipod-touch -direct-official-links/
1. After downloading the firmware from the given link, open iTunes and click on your device.
2. Now press SHIFT on your keyboard and while pressing it click on "Restore".
3. A dialog box will appear.
4. Select the firmware you downloaded and click ok.
5. Done!!! Your iPhone will now be restored to 5.1.1 and if you had backed up your iPod before, then you can put all its settings afterwards. -

You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect. -

How is the router configured? What is the security mode in the router? Does any other wireless device can able to go online with the same security mode? Well, in this case try to change the wireless security and then check the connectivity status..

Cant connect iphone 4s cause unknown error (0xE8000012) HELP
Yesterday I restored my computer and now i redownloaded itunes and everthying but i cant connect and i get the unknown error 0xE8000012 when i try to connect. I got my itunes to normal by dragging my music folder onto a hard drive before and just replaced it later after installing itunes. Please help. Before it was working perfectly fine. If it helps, My phone is 4s 32 gigs iOS 5.1.1

Everytime i plug my phone into itunes it says it cant connect because the phone is locked well i restored my phone twice and set a new passcode the last time and it still wont work . I even deleted itunes and reinstalled it , it dosent work . HELP PLZ !!
I had the same issue. I tried everything unchecking / rechecking, formatting Iphone and restoring from backup etc etc.
In the end it was a simple issue which might of might not help you.
A number of months ago I relocated by Itunes folder to a NAS drive. It appears when I did the last I tunes update Itunes set the destination path of the Itunes media to the default location, the result was Itunes couldn't install music,apps, video until I set the correct destination path.
The bit that confused me was it was transferring some media. This was of course the media I had downloaded since the last Itunes update which had gone to the default location.
I hope that makes sense and is off some help. -
after updating to iOS 6.0 everything is a mess. i cant get in my CO app game, imessages undelivered, worst of all i cant connect to Apps store. If u were able to solve this pls let me know. or if possible to return to old OS 5.1 that is much better. HELP!
I had the same experience with a new iPhone 5 that I bought last week. Did not have a chance to measure battery life before the 6.0.2 upgrade installed but I set up my phone exactly like my 4S and immediately started running out of power after short periods. Went to Xmas get together with fully charged 5 and 4S. Heading home the iPhone 5 shut down for low battery and the 4S had 65% power. Both phones had two half phone calls on then and no data usage.
That night I fully charged the iPhone 5 and, without lighting it up, put it on my night table. Next morning I picked it up and looked at battery indicator and I had 42% charge with NO activity!
Tried it again next night and wound up with 37% charge. (Slept longer).
Today I called the carrier and reactivated the 4S. Took the 5 to Apple Store and they kindly gave me choice of new replacement phone or refund. I took the refund. Uniquely, the Apple Store said it was Verizon CDMA phones that were coming back.
The are other strings on this with temporary solutions, but from my experience with 7 firmware changes on an HTC 4G phone the problem will continue because the solution will be hardware caused. We are in the days where RTM means Rush to Market - not Release To Manufacturing.
I fear the only solution is to either wait for the next model (I did not notice a really major change in performance over the 4S in LTE heavy Seattle area) - or switch to another manufacturer.
It might be useful for these forums to indicate if you have a GSM or CDMA phone to see which have more problems.

hi, my iphone 4s is saying im not connected to the internet, my wifi is on and ive tried switching it off and on and nothing, still cant connect. help! it was working perfectly fine earlier today.
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

All content purchased from iTunes is permanently linked to the Apple ID it was purchased with.
To update apps purchased with the old ID, you MUST sign in with that Apple ID. -

If you have a backup of your information on your computer, I would suggest putting your phone into recovery mode, by holding down the home key and keeping it held down while you connect it by usb into your computer with itunes running. Keep the home button held down until it indicates recovery mode, and proceed with the restore.

Why is text washed-out when I'm using a color-filled text box?
