help please i want my 8gb back and its down to 5 gb from doing new update

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Note, an 8 GB iPod will only have 6.4 GB available to the users. The remainder is taken up by the operating system

No need to shout - we are not hard of hearing.
Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
See:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

If the device has been used as designed, contacts would be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service and pictures taken with the device would be regularly copied off to a computer.
Failure to use the device as designed is not smart.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. My IPad mini has the least amount of storage and I was getting messages that I was running out of space. My grandchildren were playing games on it and it locked up. Now I cant get it opened to buy storage on ICloud. Siri talks and I get a tone when an email comes in, but beyond that the screen is black. What can I do to make it useable again?

Purchasing iCloud storage will not help you. You are out of memory on the physical device itself. You can try a reset (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If the Apple appears, the reset is successful, and your Home screen will display shortly.
Don't waste your money purchasing additional iCloud storage. It won't help you.
Instead, go to Settings>General>Usage, and under the Storage section at the top, see what is taking up so much memory. If you need to delete some Apps, click on the App in this screen and it will take you to a screen that will allow you to delete it. Then you can just click the back arrow at the top to return to the Usage screen and select additional Apps to delete.
If your photos are taking up a lot of room, then import them to the Mac or PC you sync with. Once you have verified they have successfully imported, you can then safely delete them from the device.
If your Mail or Messages is taking up a lot of memory, delete any mail or messages that contain videos. They take up a ton of room.
That's about all you can do to get your memory consumption down. Check that screen and manage what you have on your device.

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

have recently got an iphone4s and cant seem to get icloud to back up my contacts ect! also cannot find where itunes ahs stored my pc back up! so have no idea if my phone is backed up at all! please someone help! im going crazy thinking im doing something wrong xx

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your phone that is preventing the backup. To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

The iphone is just about the dumbest thing invented. You cant get any messages back that accidently get deleted.

My lock button is stuck. So i cant lock the screen when im not using it. Huh? If you set your phone to auto-lock, it will lock by itself.

When you say that you have tried what others have said, it doesn't help the person trying to help you. You need to say what you have tried, this saves time and avoids you being told to do something you have already tried.
I haven't encountered this error number before, but according to the Microsoft list of installer errors is means:
"Could not access VBScript run time for custom action"
It's just a guess, but the following might help.
Type cmd into your search box, cmd should come up under programs. Run it with "Run as Administrator".
Paste in the following line:
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
If that doesn't work, try the following:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

History has an option on the 'Hostory pallet's bottom status icons' which says, create new document from current state - which brins up a new branch of that pirticular history layer with the layer name, and that branch in the history can go on straight - once we get the required results bring back the layer to the 'history continues'.
