Make sure that you're using the latest version of Nokia Suite when performing the software update. You can download the latest version by clicking this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/nokia-suite/
Make sure that you're also using a compatible USB cable for your phone. You can also try to connect the USB cable to another port.

You do, for sure, have your BB data plan active and are able to get email, etc.?
That is required for updating to OS 5.0.
If the OS you downloaded is not specifically for the carrier that is branded on the device you will need to install the OS to the computer and then when you're done, delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.
Then after you delete that, in that same apploader folder, is a file called Loader.exe. Double click that to install the OS to your device.

I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP I CANT UPDATE MY iPOD NANO AND I JUST GOT IT!!!
I plug in my iPod rite, and then it starts to begin updating when this message comes up:
Songs on the iPod "Ma Nano" cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.
What does that mean and how do i fix it????

This thing is a $250.00 nightmare it is 5 months old and now it is a software piece of junk does anyone now of any person that can troubleshoot and repair this device (in a reasonable amount of time?)
There is no doubt that I can send it back to Apple under warranty and they will remove the software bug and charge me $100.00 (plus shipping and handling) to solve there problem. -

Try updating using the stand alone installer.
Go to Safari/Preferences, General tab, for Save downloaded files to: select other then select desktop from the left side bar. This will download the stand alone installer to your desktop. Then double click on it and follow the prompts.
You have not disclosed your version of OSX so I will include multiple versions.

Try using an ethernet connection if possible, less chance of corruption.
You can also try this in safe mode
power off, power on holding the shift key till you see the progress bar then release and allow to finish booting, then try.

Hello i am using JSP to Connect to Lotus notes Database. I Am able to view records using the select statment however i am unable to update the records in the database. I am using the following Codes to do update

Also i have been given Full admin rights but still i cant updateI'm not sure on this but you are getting a connection by:
con3 = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:Jsp-Lotus");
which appears to be logging in as a guest user. Do you have a username/password that you can also use to get the connection that has full rights to the data? Otherwise anyone could use that line above to connect to it and do anything they want to the data. -
Help. Cant update. Have rebooted. Switch my device off. Still this error occurred. Even tried on different wifi connections., home work, public ones.
Update it by connecting to iTunes on the computer you sync with. The OTA update is not working for you. I had to update mine via my computer as well. I tried an OTA update twice, but both times failed. This is a fairly robust update, so even using the computer takes awhile to do.

sorry when I try to update any app it will ask for my password (which I have checked and changed on a number of occasion now,) then seems to try for a while and then just stops and goes back to needs updating. I can access my account on computer and have re checked all info is correct but iPhone and iPad just won't update an app. This has been going on now for the last few weeks.

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:
