HELP! I cant use any of my disc drives...

Being a hardcore PC user for years I eventually saw the light and bought a MAC.
To date I have tested my music apps successfully and installed a few freebies and I even have all my music in iTunes. The problem I am now faced with is with my internal and external disc drives. For some reason whenever I insert a disc internally,it ejects the disc. If I try and insert it into my external Freecom drive it cannot read any discs I attempt to burn to or read. What could be causing this?
It's not been such a happy affair to date and I only hope it gets better. Having parked my iMac for long enough to see my extended support expire, I find myself hunting and searching for clues.

Is the message saying:
Not enough storage
Not enough/low memory?
For the former delete some items from the iPod.
For the latter.double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.

Recently i have updated my iphone 4 to latest 4.3.5 update using itunes... from the time i have updated... i am facing problems... like touch sensitivity... like cant attend the call at one swipe... cant use any applications at the corner of the screen... some times i touch message icon... it moves to next page... some times in the applications without touching the screen in the app the features get activated... is it the problem with the software update or my iphone is having any problem with screen...

Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B:
Restart phone
Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore as a new iPhone, without using a backup.

Also, remove any screen protector.
If none of the above works, there is a hardware problem that needs evaluation by Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country.

Can i use ANY external CD/DVD drive with the NEW mac mini?

We just got the newest Mac Mini and want to get an external drive for importing and burning CD's and DVD's.
Can we use ANY external CD/DVD drive or do we NEED to use the "Apple MacBook Air SuperDrive."

Maybe.
I've had some situations where a non-Apple DVD drive would not do a particular job. When I tried the same project with the Apple SuperDrive everything worked perfectly.
This is an area where I would not try to save money.

No. Apple can not. ONLY the carrier can authorize unlocking. Not all do. All iPhones sold in Japan are permanently locked to Softbank. You can not get it legitimately unlocked.
Sell it and purchase an unlocked phone from a country where they are legitimately sold.

Cant use any search engines bing , google,as soon I type a search Firefox 4 hangs

I just upgraded to FF4 and I also find it hangs when I use any of the search engines. The Task Manager shows Firefox is grabbing more and more memory and is showing the "not responding" message. In Firefox the cursor wheel just spins and spins.
I restarted FF using the "without add-ons" option and everything worked fine!
How do I find out what add-ons I have installed? Presumably one of them is causing a problem.

Help : I cant use my caps lock

My cat walked my keyboard.
Then my problem started.
I can not hide keyboard & Cahracter Viewers in menu bar.
So I cant use caps lock key.

Wow, your cat really went to town!
Go to System Preferences>Keyboard click the Keyboard tab then then the Modifier Keys button.
Make sure that the Caps Lock Key is set to Caps Lock. While you're there, make sure the other modifier keys are set to your liking.

Using old imac hard disc drive as external drive

Can an old imac hard disc drive be installed into an external hard disc case and be connected via USB to a new imac computer.

Yes, it certainly can, but you realize that you can't boot a PPC iMac from a USB drive, only a firewire one. If your new computer is an intel, it will boot without a problem.

If you are trying to change the iCloud ID ("email address") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). When you restored did you restore from a backup or from a fresh install?
Sometimes when you restore from a backup you will get corrupt files that will continue to show up as long as you are restoring from that back up.

It appears that you posted, before you listed the error that you receive, when trying to Open the MOV files. That could be very important.
Also, as MOV is but a "wrapper," and can contain all sorts of CODEC's, knowing about your particular MOV files might hold the clue. Please see this article, and let us know more about your particular MOV files: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0 Note: the article talks about "AVI" files, but other formats, like MOV, can contain a vast number of CODEC's.
On a Mac, one can use Media Inspector, a great utility, to find out what is inside the MOV files.
Also, as many MOV files contain some CODEC's, that are installed with QuickTime Player, I would check that your version of QT Player has been updated.

TS3274 Please help, i cant use mt ipad at all.

Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
When the iPad has restarted you can force a backup via Settings > iCloud
