Help! I deleted all software from MyRIO and it's stuck in safe mode
Hi,
In the NI MAX interface I saw that there were a new software version to intall, in the section where is possible to add and remove software items to MyRIO from a list with checkboxes. The last option in that list was something like clear everything, remove all software, or other similar text.
I did this, planning to install the new software version after that. Then the MyRIO restarted in safe mode, whith the status led blinking three or four times each 5 seconds. And it never was recognized again by the computer.
I tried the reset button without success. The MyRIO is always stuck in safe mode.
Then I tried communicate using the serial port of my computer configured according with the MyRIO User Guide, connecting the RX, TX and GND of the computer connector in the UART ports of the MXP A connector. But the NI MAX don't see the MyRIO, there is no answer in the serial communication.
How can I install the software again in MyRIO?

Hi,
Today I managed to communicate with MyRIO and now its working again.
The interface RS232<->UART using the IC MAX232 worked, but I could not install the software in MyRIO through this interface.
Probably I uninstalled the NI software related with MyRIO from my Host computer, because when I connected the MyRIO using the USB interface to my other computer it was recognized and I installed the software in it without problems.

Deleting all elements from array and array to spreadsheet string
Hello,
I would like to write a new data file for each "recording" session without closing the VI. My problem is that the last "recording" session's data is at the top of every successive session's text file. I do not want this. I've tried to delete all rows from the array after my array to spreadsheet string function, but I think the problem is somewhere with the shift register and how the array is built. I'm not too familiar with LabView and this aspect of my interface is driving me crazy. Attached is my code and two successive data files. I have not been able to find a solution on these or the LAVA forums. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I know there is an easier way to write this kind of streaming data, but I need to do it this way for other devices and synchronization purposes.

Your loop does not have a wait, meaning it spins the empty case millions if times per second, consuming all CPU while not doing anything. Add an indicator to [i] to see.
To clear a 2D array in one case frame, just don't wire the output tunnel and set it to "use default if unwired". You'll get an empty array. No fancy tools needed.
I probably would use an event structure and also protect the data if the save dialog is canceled.
Here's a simple draft that probably requires a bit more work but should show some of the ideas.
You should also
add some protection that the VI cannot consume all available memory if it runs forever.
Create a seperate case to save the data later if the file dialog is cancelled the first time.

OMG Help notes are all gone from outlook and i phone I can't get them back
I havent synced my iphone in a long time. I used to have an itouch (gave it to my son) and everytime I synced it on itunes it was replacing what was on my itouch in outlook onto my iphone getting rid of the recent stuff it was a mess. I have had some stuff going on and i thought i should sync now since imp stuff going on. well I deleted what was in outlook hoping to just put what was on my iphone into outlook but it deleted everything i had in it on both phone and outlook except for what was actually added on phone not even the stuff I have typed in from older messages to update like all my blood pressures recently it is all gone, I am ready to freak out is there anyway to undo a sync or a delete and put it back on my phone, help please
You could just restore your Outlook PST file from the latest backup of your computer. This will not bring back what was on your phone.
This is what sync does. If you delete i in one place, it will delete it all the way down the line. If it were to bring it back from the phone after you told it you didn't want it anymore in outlook, what would be the point? -
Help required -- deleted system/wheel from sharing and permissions
So I just did a big clean up on my hard drive of old files, and wanted to see how much space I now have left on my HD - I right-clicked on Macintosh HD > Get Info.
Under Sharing & Permissions I noticed a strange User listed named "wheels". Afraid that someone had accessed my computer or was somehow sharing on my network, I went ahead like an idiot and deleted the "wheels" user without first researching what it was all about.
Now I cannot boot, nor can I reinstall my OS because it says permission is denied.
I really don't know what to do at this point, I am hoping that there is a command in terminal that can undo deleting wheel/system.
I would very much appreciate the assistance, i'm starting to go a little batty.
Thank youI just did the same thing and went to the Apple store to talk to the geniuses. I don't see any updates to your post but hopefully you were able to figure it out. Just in case and for future people who do the same thing, force power off the computer. Power back on while holding down the option key. In Mountain Lion, this should now give you a screen with your main hard drive and a small partition that contains a backup of the OS. There is also a network dropdown and you should log in so you have internet access. Then select the OS backup partition and essentially reinstall the operating system. The reinstall should keep everything on your hard drive intact just like if you were upgrading the OS from an old version.

How to delete all music from itunes and start over
I have had many issues with my itunes, and I want to completely delete it and start over. My ipod has all the movies and music just as I want it. Is there a way to start over with itunes and import all the music and movies from my ipod and purchase history?
Rebuilding your library from the contents of your device is possible (see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device) but I wouldn't recommend this as an approach to cleaning up your library if you don't have to. You could, for example, delete the current iTunes Library.itl file and then reimport the contents of the media folder. This would wipe out all playlists, ratings, play counts, and clean up any dead links in the library, but might still show any previously duplicated content, and iTunes is likely to wipe and reload your device next time you sync.
Why not tackle the issues in your library?

I downloaded 6 software to my phone and is fine, when I did my wifes it deleted all of her contacts and she isnt backed up to outlook, Please Help. I used the same account login/password for the icloud part....
Why would you use the same iCloud login? Do you and your wife share that account for syncing contacts?
Was she actually syncing contacts to any supported app on the computer or a cloud service prior to the update as the iPhone is designed to be used?
Did you not backup the iPhone prior to the update? If this had been done, it should be a simple matter or restoring from that backup to put everything back. -

How do I permanently delete music files from itunes AND my computer (without going to the folder to delete each item)? It's a windows system. I've tried 'reset all dialogue warnings' as I've been told to do but no luck. Files are still in Itunes folders. I would really appreciate help!
Solved! Music was in Itunes folder but not in Media folder within that. It doesn't seem like a very user friendly system so far!

I have transferred all photos from iPad and iPhone to Mac. I have deleted almost all photos from both (about 200 remaining on each). I do not store tunes or videos. After making these changes, I still have the same message in iCloud.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > Select your device (listed as 'This iPhone' or 'This iPad') then look at the next backup size. Compare the 'Next Backup Size' to the 'Backup Size' on taht same screen. If the next backup size is smaller, then you have successfully removed some content from your device.
Now the question still lingers as to why your iCloud is still showing so full right? Well, iCloud keeps the last 3 backups from each device. It doesn't duplicate them, but it uses an incremental backup system. So basically your device's backup will take up as much space on iCloud as the largest backup of the last 3 backups. With that being said, your iPhone and ipad will eventually shrink the size of your backup (if that next backup size is smaller) in about 3 days (3 backups assuming your iOS devices backup once as day when you are sleeping).
Can I expedite this? Well of course you can. If you want, you can Delete the backup from both of the devices via that same screen then go back to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, turn iCloud Backups back on, then backup now. Keep in mind that if you do this, it will clear out your last 3 backups (and cannot be undone), but it may also take a long while for your iPhone and iPad to complete that inital backup after deleting the old backups.
I hope this helps. (My Recommendation: Basically check what's in paragraph one, then it will works itself out in a few days.) -
I was organizing my photos into albums. then deleting them from my Camera roll. Then I went into MY Photo Stream and started deleting the pics I had moved to albums;Come to find out I deleted all pic from everywhere!! Would the iCloud still have them saved
First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

I have deleted all my videos songs and photos from my iphone 4 but when i connect to itunes it still shows 17gb free. how can I solve this issue without restore. Total storage of my iphone is 32 gb.
I don't see an issue, but if you mean why didn't you get most of your memory back you need to see what else is using storage. Go to Settings/General/Usage. Wait a bit for it to calculate storage allocation, then when it finishes you can see how much storage each app uses.

I previously had PS CS5 Trial installed but removed it using both Control Panel Programs and deleting all files from the CS5 directory on Program Files. I then installed a purchased product from Adobe disc using the serial number on the case. But when I try to launch it, I get a screen headed Photoshop CS5 Extended Trial. It asks for the serial number and says that my trial has expired. It rejects the serial number from the Adobe case saying "This Serial Number is not valid for this product". It thinks that I still have the expired Trial Version installed. How do I convince it (the program) that the Trial Version is long gone and the currently installed product was installed with a valid and accepted serial number????

Nope.
Did you fail to import them before restoring from backup? If so, then they are gone.
You should import all photos taken with the iphone to your comuter regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore. -
