Help! I get a 'cannot connect to iTunes Store' message....

Every time I try to purchase an item and/or download updates from App Store for installed iPhone apps I keep getting a 'Canot connect to iTunes Sore' message.
On top of that, every time I try to sign in on my iPhone, I get just about half way thru with entering my ID user name when poof, I am booted out from signing in!! I can access iTunes on my computer with no prob but not the iphone (version 3G) I have tried everything that has been mentioned to try.... Hard reset, turning on/off my device, network reset, turning my internet router on/off, checking my Apple ID and password online, syncing my device again with iTunes on my computer, and I still cannot access the itunes store on my phone! arrrrrrrgggggh!! This is so annoying!
Can anyone help??
Thanks!

My apps are updating OK. This may be an iTunes/App Store server issue, but you can try restarting the iPad and see if that helps. You can also try quitting the app store, restart and try again,
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

For some reason my iPad say I cannot connect with iTunes store while trying to update an app. I've tried all I know. Any suggestions?

I am getting the same message. This is what I did to update my apps.
Go to the App Store and search for one of the apps that needs an update. When the app appears in the search - there should be an Install button next to the app icon. Tap on it and see if the download will start. It worked for me.

  • "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message

Why do I keep getting a "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message when I try to update apps on my iPod Touch. I have a wifi connection, and I can buy music through the store, but I can't update apps.
I've read various explanations and fixes (uninstalling software, deleting programs, etc.), but nothing seems to work. One answer that makes sense is that a corrupted app is causing problems. But before I delete all my apps I want to make sure that will work.
    I'm open to suggestions.

I read in another discussion that deleting apps solved the problem so I tried deleting the 7 apps that needed updating and installing them again. Fortunately, all of them were free except two that cost me a combined $3. It seemed to work. I can access the iTunes store and didn't have any problems installing the apps. The next hurdle will be when I have to udpate an app. We'll see.
P.S. I think that there may be a problem with the The NY Times app and the "Newstand", but I'm just guessing.

  • HT1222 I get a "cannot connect to iTunes store"when I try to retrieve updates on my iPad 2.

I get a "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"whenI try to update my Apps from the Apps icon. I am more than totally clueless.  Help please.

Try rebooting your router first. Unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Reboot your iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Why do I get "Cannot connect to ITunes Store" message on my IPad and IPhone?

Why do I get "Cannot connect to ITunes Store" message on my IPad and IPhone?
I have tried numerous times to connect to ITunes Store to update my current apps and continue to get this message.  Apple has determined that it is not a device problem or an Apple problem.  It has to do with ITunes.  Can anyone help?

I am having no problems downloading from the app store today. I just tried it again. However, I read some of those other discussions as well and there have been times when the iTunes or App Store has been out of commission. Don't hold your breath waiting for Apple to acknowledge it because that is not going to happen. That is not how they operate.

The same common problem can't be fixed .. I tried every possible solution, none of them worked.I tried changing date and time, reset network settings.None of them worked with me
Please help me to solve this problem

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • HT1933 I get a "Cannot connect to iTunes store" error. How else can I report a purchase?

    Hello there!
I just received a receipt for a game I have purchased for two friends (two distinct account without cards attached, so the game was purchased twice as a gift) but I have been charged for three copies and I want to report this problem.
So, naturally, I clicked on the Report... link under any of the purchases and I get the message:
    "Cannot connect to iTunes store".
I don't want to let this get away. If there is no way of getting my money back, I want to have the game on my account as well!

Change your Date & Time settings from Automatic to OFF and then change the date a good month ahead.  Open the app store from Passbook.  Should load perfectly.  Once you get in, change the date and time back to auto.

  • HT4009 I keep getting "ERROR Cannot Connect to iTunes Store" when attempting an in-app purchase.

I've been trying to complete an in-app purchase within the game "Nemo's Reef" for over a week and repeatedly get the same "ERROR Cannot Connect to iTunes Store"
I've tried a real close for the app, restarting my device (iPhone 5), enabling and disabling restrictions - I DO NOT have in-app purchases restricted under settings-general - restrictions - in app purchases.
I purchased a book in iBooks this morning - my card was charged and the item downloaded perfectly. I have tried the purchase on WiFi as well as Cellular but neither work. I've also tried turning off my WiFi completely, still doesn't work.

  • How get around "Cannot connect with iTunes Store" when updating apps?

I have several Apps with updates indicated. When I select App Store, it goes to the updates but when I try to update, I get "Cannot connect with iTunes Store." But otherwise I can get to the iTunes Store itself. Where does "Report problem" appear? Not on my Touch (which is updated).

Try it from the computer that you sync with, then sync the updated apps over to the iPod.

  • I keep getting "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message

Everytime I try to download an update or just a new app, I am asked to put in my password. I do that and I get a message that says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I have gone and changed my password and updated my info and I still am getting the same message. This just started recently.

So, I looked around the web for some solution as to how to fix this problem and found this:

I did all of the things in this list and of course turning the iPad off then back on worked.

  • Why am I getting 'cannot connect to iTunes store' message when going to App Store?

I recently purchased a refurbished iPad 1 (iOS 5.0) from the Apple Store.  I've downloaded one free app from the App Store.  But today when I returned to the App Store, the following message displayed:  Cannot connect to iTunes store.
I have an Apple ID which I can see via Settings.  The software is up-to-date (checked software update).  I can access the App Store via my iPod Touch.
Any words of wisdom?  Thanks in advance.

    iPad 1 (iOS 5.0)
    Tap Settings > Store
Make sure Apps is switched on under Automatic Downloads.
If you download an app on one device it should automatically sync to the other providing they are both running iOS 5.
