Help, I have lost my contact photos only - all contacts intact, except for their associated photos...
Hi all,
I have an iPhone4 with its contacts synced via iCloud to my iPad, PC via Outlook 2010, MBP via iCloud AddressBook. I did a bunch of editing of my contacts on my MBP's AddressBook and it auto synced via iCloud. Now, my iPhone4 got all the new changes but it no longer has any contact photos. I still have all the contact photos correctly on all my other devices including my iPad, Outlook and AddressBook - its just my iPhone4 now that doesn't have the photos. Is there anyway to manually force the iPhone to re-download all my contacts from iCloud - or force it to update its contact photos to include all the photos that are in all my other sources?
I did a search for this problem and it either had no solution or the solutions involved the old MobileMe system.

If it's the same computer that you've been syncing your iPhone to, you should be able to reload everything. If you haven't been regularly syncing your iPhone and thus maintaining proper back ups, yeah, you're probably out of luck.

Downgrading an iOS is not supported by Apple but that would not bring the items back anyway.
What photos are you talking about? If they were synced to the iPod then you will have to get them from the computer from which they were synced. If the photos were taken by or saved to the iPod then they should be in the backup. The same with notes.
One the computr go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the da and time of the iPod backup. If it corresponds to before the update was performed or at the beginning of the update then the itmes should be in the backup. Restore theiPod from backup. Make sure thatyou have auto syning turned off other wise when ou connect the iPod to the computer iTunes will backup the iPod which does not have the items and delete the old backup. To turn off, go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that say Prevent iPods.... syncing. -

WWhat are you syncing your contacts with? A supported application on the computer or cloud service? They should still be there.

That's because you both are using the same Apple ID for iCloud(yours). Your son deleted your contacts & added his, & as far as iCloud knows, its the same person & that's the way things are supposed to work...keeps everything in sync across all of your devices.
Your son needs his own Apple ID for iCloud, FaceTime & iMessage...this will prevent this from happening again.
As far as recovering your contacts, unless they are in a supported application somewhere else, they are most likely gone. -

Try a hard reset:- hold the home button AND the power switch - ignore the red "Slide to power off" and wait ubntil the iPhone powers down, and then restarts - at the Apple logo, release all the buttons and see if your contacts reappear.

Look no further help is here! I can definitely understand your concern. Keeping your contacts safes is definitely important.
Were the contacts deleted from the phone as well? How were they deleted? Did you have backup assistant or the Verizon Cloud on the phone? Were you backing up the contacts using your Gmail account?

To restore from TM you launch TM and go back to the time you want to restore from, seect the iPhoto library and click restore

Your Downloads folder should be in your Home folder. Just drag it to the Dock.
If you've managed to delete it, try creating a new folder called 'Downloads'. You will probably need to nominate it in Safari or any other browser preferences as your download destination. (Safari Preferences>General, 'Save downloaded items to:' menu) -

The Lion upgrade does not touch iPhoto. However, you may need to purchase an iPhoto upgrade.
Look in your /Home/Pictures/ folder for the iPhoto Library file.
