You have to connect the iPod to the PC and sync it to get the songs in the device. You will only get your music in your iPod automatically if you have purchased your songs in the iTunes Store and Automatic Downloads are enabled in your iPod

You've checked the spam folder on your rescue email account as well as the inbox, and you've tried clicking the reset link a second time ? If you have, and you still haven't received the email, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Here's the situation. I received a text while I was talking on the phone. Went right to text, then could not get back to the screen. After trial and error, I discovered a little green message at the top of the phone that said "Touch to return to call". Problem solved.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

ok, I found the keyboard viewer, it only shows the traditional symbol 'return'. something like a sideway u-turn continued with the arrow under. This is the Canadian or US keyboard.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

Restore the device from the most recent backup.
If data is lost, then it is merely the fault of the user for not backing up the device or saving their data regularly.
Once the device is in recovery mode, the ONLY option is to restore.

The pdf files should still be in your email. Open the email again. Tap and hold down on the pdf icon and a window will pop up with apps that you can open the pdf files in. If you have the iBooks app, save the files to there. You can open and print them from iBooks. If the PDFs files are already open in the email, tap anywhere on the open pdf and you will see the action icon in the upper right corner. Tap that icon and you will get the same Open In window and you can choose iBooks from there. When you go back to the mail app, if you have to close the pdf file, tap on it again and you will see Done in the upper left corner. Tap that to close the file.
