HELP! i just opened stickies and they are ALL GONE!

I do not know what happened, but i turned on my computer this morning and opened stickies and its like the program reset itself all my stickies and the info on them were gone and the original starter stickies ( the ones that tell you how to use them) were there instead! Where did they go- some of that info is irreplaceable. Please help!

Sorry that your welcome to Discussions is marred by loss of your Stickies.
The data you lost was stored in a file called "Stickies Database." It is stored in the Library folder in your home directory--it should be there among a bunch of folders.
One of two things probably happened: either you moved the original file out of that folder (and Stickies promptly rebuilt itself the new, default database with the introductory stickies), or your original data file became corrupt and the application created a new database--one that didn't have your data in it.
If you have a backup of your home directory, you could get the database file and put a copy of it in your Library folder, removing the useless (starter) one. Then open Stickies and it should use the replacement database.
As you are probably finding out right now, it's important to backup critical data, and furthermore, Stickies probably aren't the best place to store critical data. I think the Library is a bad place for Stickies to keep its database because most things in there don't need to be backed up. It should instead be in the Documents folder.
I'm sorry that this probably won't be of any help to you. There are much better replacements for the Stickies application and if you like I can give you some suggestions--they're not free, though.

Log into icloud.com and then click on the Contacts icon. If the list is empty, then it's gone.

4.0 bookmarks are in unsorted. Can I make them only 1 click away instead of 2? On another computer I just click bookbarks and they are all there.

I have 4.0 installed on two computers. one xp pro sp3 and on this computer I just click bookmarks and they all show.

If you have access to Firefox on that computer then export the bookmarks to an HTML file.<br />
Otherwise you need the JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder and restore the bookmarks from the most recent JSON backup.<br />
Note that this will replace all current bookmarks, so in order to keep these you need to export them to an HTML file and reimport that file after you have restored the JSON backup.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Drag them to your iTunes library. Download the free iBooks app. Select the PDFs you want too sync in the iTunes books pane. The iBooks app will show your books collection or your PDFs collection as you select.

Try a hard reset:- hold the home button AND the power switch - ignore the red "Slide to power off" and wait ubntil the iPhone powers down, and then restarts - at the Apple logo, release all the buttons and see if your contacts reappear.

Congrats on the first iPhone. This is not normal. First check if moving the volume up or down either way has any impact on the sound. Then see what happens while on speakerphone. If you can hear ok on speakerphone, and there's no change from the regular earpiece with the volume changing, check with the carrier you received it from or the Apple store you purchased from. They will have other things to look at for you.

After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

You should ALWAYS import all pics ( and anything selse for that matter) before any update.
If you failed to do this, then the pics are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup.

Simply restore from your backup.
You do have Time Machine running, yes?
Or you use some other backup program?
