Help - I just purchased CS6 and downloaded onto the new iMac I just bought. I cannot get it to open

I just purchased CS6 and downloaded onto the new iMac I just bought. I cannot get it to open. I think I may have purchased a windows version in error.  When I clicked on "DesignStandard_CS6_LS16.exe I am told the application can't open because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X.  Does anyone know how to contact Adobe directly?  I keep going around and around on their site and have found no e-mail or phone number to contact them to get this straightened out.  Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much out there for any assistance!

Trying to contact Adobe over the (long) weekend is not likely to get you very far.

    First read this: FAQ: Why iTunes Match Can Not Be Used as a Backup
    So, before you sell your Mac make sure all your personal data is backed up to an external HDD then put that HDD in a safe place. When you return you will be able to use it to restore your data to the new Mac.

    If you have already purchased the iOS versions of these applications, they will appear in your "Purchases" list in the app store. Register your iPad with the same Apple ID as was used for the purchase, and you will be able to download and install it on the iPad (and on any other iOS device registered under the same Apple ID).
    Wayne's response applies if your previous purchase was the Mac OS X version of Numbers and Pages.

    Yes.
    On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs.

    YOu need to sign out of the PC thru the CC manager and then sign in on the Mac.

    Try tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on your devices (Settings > Store if they aren't on iOS 6+) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on them.

    I have the same problem , i've converted my videos to mp4 , by using different programmes and tried to open them in itunes but it didnt .
    Some people suggested the following although it didnt help me , it might help you
    One suggested to paste the videos that you want in automatically add to itune (  go to your music folder m then click on itunes , then itunes media , and you will find it there )
    Others suggested to o to the ontrol panal , then programmes and features m then lick on quick time (. Or itunes) then Change then repair
    If it didnt help. And you find another method m please let me know

    This is probably a stupid question...
    But I bough the new iMac a few months ago and then I just purchased the new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4...and it says it is for both windows and mac os.

    Then after it downloaded I got the following error:
    "You can’t open the application “Lightroom_4_LS11_win_4_3.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X."

    That's right. That means the serial number will work on both Windows and Mac.
    However you must use the correct installer. The Windows installer will not work on Mac OSX and vice versa.
    You must download the Mac version to install it on your Mac. Then enter your serial number.

    If you have another Mac with an optical you might be able to use remote disk. Otherwise you'll need to either purchase software that can be installed from download or purchase an external disk drive. Practally any cheap drive from places like OWC, Amazon or NewEgg will work.

    I have an old iMac PowerPC G4 and i am running Reason 3.0 on it.
    It doesn't run smoothly at all, it's very slow and it takes ages to play a song, very frustrating.
    I was thinking of buying the new iMac 24".
    Does anyone know if there is any problems running those programs on the system?

    Hi there - I'm in a similar situation, it has driven me to start looking into a hardware upgrade, I went to the Reason web site and there seems to be an upgrade to download, but have not heard any good or bad reports. I'm still not sure whether or not to go for the new 24" iMac or an entry-level Mac Pro - but when I decide and get a new machine I'll be sorting out Reason and can let you know.

    OK. Log into your migrated account. Open Users & Groups preferences, click on the lock icon and authenticate.
    Click on the Add [-] button and create a new account. Make it an Administrative account and name it whatever you want (but not the same as your current account) and set it up to login automatically. Log out of your current account and log into the new account. Now, select your migrated account and click on the Delete [-] button to remove it. Select the bottom option to delete immediately. DO NOT select the option to erase securely.
    Now, you can choose to migrate again from your old account but be more selective of what you migrate or you can simply copy over the data you want.

    you can install and use on up to two computers at any one time with your single-user license so you need not sign out from your old computer's cc app.
