Help!!! I lost my ipod libary

After updating to the lastest software to download imusic purchase I lost all my songs in the ipod...5,475 of them! Is there anyway I can get them back! Please help!

If you loaded your iPod with music you purchased from the iTunes Music Store or music you ripped from CDs, the original music files should still be on your computer's hard drive and you shouldn't have any trouble re-syncing.
If a technical problem has caused the music to disappear from your hard drive, you might want to contact our support organization. They can help you find any purchased music that might be salvageable on the drive.

If your iPod was loaded with someone else's music, then maybe your music karma just caught up with ya.

HELP I LOST MY IPOD 4!!

Okay So yesterday i just came back my cousins house & my dad picked me up, I was sure that time I had my ipod with me. He then dropped me off at my house. I was holiding my ipod that time & then i put it in my back pocket . I kocked on my house door & my grandma opened it .. when i enter inside , probably (maybe) I put my ipod on my dinning table . I'm not 100% sure. After A few mins I reailzed my ipod was gone !!! I went to look outside , but it wasnt there !!! I looked everywhere in my house , but no !!! still cant fine it! I tried "find my iphone" but it said my ipod is offline ...Help Me What Should I Do? Thank you very much..

Help, i lost my ipod touch 4th gen on the bus. and i am wondering if apple would cover this on insurance?

so i lost it on the bus and i know someone will take it because of the place i live in. what would be the best option to do been as i have already phoned the bus company.

Apple does not provide insurance for lost iPods. Unless you had insurance from some other source - such as a credit card plan that covers such losses, or homeowner's insurance, or a separate policy, you'll have to buy a new iPod from your own funds.
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled or the iPod been completely restored). You can then give that tracking information to the police, though it's highly doubtful they'll take any action.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police just in case some honest citizen turns the iPod in, and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Download and install iTunes first. If your iPod was formatted for Windows previously, then it should work ok when you connect it to iTunes. If not, download and install the iPod updater. Run the updater program, connect your iPod when asked (not before), and follow the prompts.
WARNING
Plugging your iPod into an empty iTunes library may result in the songs from your iPod being erased.

help i lost my ipod 2nd generation like a moth ago and still cant find it. my dad hid it in his room but then forgot where he put it. the problem also is that i dont have any mobile me or tracking apps on my ipod!! what can i do to find it? and how do i find my serial number if i dont have my ipod with me?

There is no way to find it if you don't have any tracking software. And you probably wouldn't be able to track it because it is probably dead.

You need the find my iphone setup in order to track, remote wipe etc. I hope you changed passwords, contacted the police..

If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.

There is little chance of recovering your iPod. The police will do little. It it is turned then they can contact you.

You cannot use it. You would have had to set it up on your ipod itself before you lost it. Since you did not "turn on the icloud", then you have not set up find my ipod.

there is nospecial way to locate your iPod, Apple will not help. Your SN is only good for identifying the iPod as yours if it is found.
