Help! I'm new to apple. How can I use bluetooth on my tibook?

This is my first mac and I love it but am still getting to know how to use it. I have a powerbook G4 titanium and the latest Mac OS X. When I start the bluetooth file exchange application, it says I do not have a bluetooth module. How can I get one? Thanks to anyone with any help!

First of all: you are right: the Satellite C850-B906 supports Bluetooth

But the notebook was not preinstalled with an Windows system and therefore I guess you installed the Windows OS (which one?) at you own hand.
Probably you did not install the essential software / drivers which would allow you to use the BT
The Realtek WLan module supports BT and therefore you have to install the Bluetooth Filter Driver Package a well as the BT stack from Toshiba driver page.
After that you have to use the function key combination to enable the BT.

Ok about to buy an iMac, never used one always had PCs
however all my buddys use MS messenger, I know there is a version of this for Mac now but dont think it supports the iSight camera. Also I dont think the included app iChat allows you to connect to MSM people does it?

I can connect my smartphone (nokia) to my Mac Book Pro, but if I try to send something from Nokya to my Mac using bluetooth, that's impossible. The only way is to search what I wanto to store in my Mac, using the Mac and browse my Nokia with Finder.

I recently tried turning on Bluetooth on my iPhone to try to discover my wife's phone. My wife has a Samsung Eternity phone. Her phone was in discoverable mode and my iPhone never could discover it. I also tried this with my friend who has an iPhone and it still did not work. Is the Bluetooth on an iPhone not supposed to be used to connect two phones? I thought it was supposed to be used to connect to other phones, especially iPhones for gaming purposes. You can't share music over air or by Bluetooth because of several reasons of which is understandable by apple. Apple doesn’t provide any way for you to copy files from your iPod back to your Mac/ between iPods or iPhones. While there are legitimate reasons for blocking bi-directional copying— which again the word music piracy comes to the mind
The only thing that I heard that you could share with iPhone to iPhone/ iPod touch is photos&contacts an app called "bump" and "Bluetooth photo share". With those applications you and your friend can share photos/phone contacts and other kind of files.

He bought the iMac two years after mine.
Would his Mac still be under warranty? It sounds like it is about only a year old and so may be still eligible for phone support, though that may depend on having nearby access to an Apple Tech support.
He could get a replacement disk sent to him as well. The cost, I don't know.
Your disk would probably work, but you don't need to burn one; just use yours. If you are in two locations, then it would be better for Apple to mail him a replacement disk for his particular Mac.

So we are entirely new to Apple products. I'm an IT guy, but have always been a windows user.
So the Ipad with Retina Display is to be mine (and will use it at work for notes, organization, etc)
The MINI is for the wife.
But, are we allowed and can we.. buy an app and share that app between both devices? IE. Can I buy a copy of Angry Birds for the House and both Ipad's use that single purchase? and if so, can we still run the Ipads seperate other than to share the apps purchased. IE my facebook and email set up on mine and hers on her ipad mini?
When I finally find a note taking app I like, can I share it on her ipad, without her having all my work files, etc?
Thanks for helping out the apple noob. Hoping for a great experience, and anticipate droping $100 in apps the first day.. just don't want to do that twice. If this is against the usage policy, thats unfortunate but good to know. (I mean we can share stuff on PC as long as its in the same household)

There are a number of Apple services: iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, Game center, Find My iPad, etc.
Now, to share apps, music and books you need to have the same Apple ID:
iPad's Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > Your purchasing Apple ID.
For the other service, your wife should have her own Apple ID.
All she needs is a valid e-mail address, apply Apple ID below:
