Help!....I need a copy of Desktop V4.2

Hi all,
I am stuck running Outlook 2000 and need to locate a compatable copy of Desktop manager V4.2. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find a "clean" copy anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem. I have a 8530 and need to be able to Sync with my outlook 2000 calendar and have finally worked out that I need v4.2 in order to make it work but can't find the software available to download anywhere. Please help.

HELP! Need a copy/pic of the regional calling map for FL

I signed up for the Regional Essentials Package so i can take advantage of Fios internet. I cannot find anywhere on line that shows the regional calling map for Florida (or any other area for that matter). Does the regional calling coverage cover the entire state, a portion of the state or what?
I keep ebing directed to the consumer guide in my phone book, that issue is two fold-who has a phone book any more?! And...we have one at work and there isn't a map to be found.

When cloning startup drive -need to copy desktop files separately?

Hi, I am new at this stuff and want to be sure when reinstalling the OS that I don't lose any files. I have used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the startup disk, but cannot tell whether the destop files and folders are there or not. So pardon the obvious question, but do I need to copy the desktop separately. If no, how do I detect these files on the cloned disk? The desktop icon, seems the same no matter which drive I open, so I am concerned that there is only one copy of these files?

There is no one desktop. Each user has a desktop folder in their home folder, so if the user files are saved, the desktop will be saved.

ok im going to keep this as simple as possible. ok so for the past 5-6 years my mom and I have had Verizon wireless as our provider. in the beginning had wonderful service but here recently my mom had some really bad experiences and decided to leave Verizon and go to t-mobile. so first let me say i was a authorized on the account. i told her i didn't want to switch but it was her account. i wish to come back to Verizon but before i have the money for that i have to help my mom finish her switch. So i need a copy of our last bill that had the break down of specifically the early termination fees.I have already gone to a store and they have basically blown me off. i use to think very highly of Verizon but so far im being proven wrong by how everyone ive talked to has been very negative even tho as soon as i can help my mom finish switching im going to come back. i just need to get this done..and help her switch and then financially i can come back. thank you for your time

i've updated the new itunes and i have downloaded the ipod updater but when i plug my ipod in it says you need to download ipod updater or use disk.
when i try to run the ipod updater it comes up saying "ipod updater 2004-04-28 can not install fimware on connected ipod. the ipods hardwear and the updater fimware are not compatible"
does anyone have any ideas on what i should do? i have saved my music files on the computer so should i just use my itunes disk and start again? please xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Next time, you can use the Text Wrap function, so you don't need to manually wrap the text.

Check if PDF document has renderable text. Go to Tools -> Text Recognition -> In This File.
Then you should be able to copy the text from PDF.

Please Help! I Need To Copy Some Files.

Hi, everyone.
I had a couple corrupt files on a TM backup so I copied the folders System, Library, and Applications from the most recent backup to another drive. I replace the corrupted files.
Now, I just need to copy the folders from the external disk to the internal (boot) drive.
I can't do this with Finder because OS X uses the folders and won't let me touch them.
So, the solution I've come up with is to boot from the OS X install DVD and use Terminal to copy the files.
(Let me know if there's a better way.)
I tried the following code, which I got off Wikipedia:
cp -R /volumes/drive/folder /
The result was a source disk that needed some cleaning up in Disk Utility and a destination Applications folder containing only the Apple applications.
During the operation, Terminal very rapidly cycled through error messages for apparently every non-Apple program. It said things like 'no such directory' and 'unable to copy extended attributes'.
So, I ask of you, smart people, a better command.
Where did I go wrong with this?
What should I do differently?
Is this even possible?

I thought that as well, until I saw the size of the folders I was copying.
But if that's how it works, I guess I'll work on fixing the corrupt backups.
The Finder seemed to do OK with copying the folders, but I guess they probably don't have everything.

Below mentioned is my requirement:
I need to create a desktop application whch can generate the time table automatically.
Fields which we give as input are as follows:
1.No of classess
2.Teachers along with their subjects
3.Work load for each teacher for a week
4.Time intervels when a particular teacher will be available(some teachers will come to school only in afternoons)
5.Subjects to be taught
5.Number of periods each subject has to be taught for each class.
Can anyone send a an algorithm related to this so that I can further develop the same and use it in my application.
Any suggestions will be of great help to me.

Well... this is a month old not sure will this be too late. Basically I suggest you do some study and reading into relational database and combine with OO programming (if you got time, study UML too),
if you understand how to draw a relation database tables (doesn't have to be database, you can save data into txt/xml...etc) you pretty much know how to implement your application

I need to copy audio files and projects from logic to an external hard as my MBPis nearly full and my external hard drive has packed up with all my files on it, any suggestions on how do I copy 200GB from my MBP to a new external HD

I Use logic and back my audio file and projects on an external HD ,this has now packed up . I have all the files in the MBP , but need to copy them to a new external HD, I have only 10GB left on my machine , how do I copy 200GB from my machine to a new External HD.

Yes, just drag and drop them into the drive..
How long will it take? Hard to say without knowing the type and speed of the drives in question.. and even then it's hard to estimate... but does time really matter?
The fact you only have 10 Gigs left will/may slow the process down but it wont/shouldn't stop it...
If needed.. just drag and drop some of the files at a time.. not all of them.
Remember that copying files doesn't delete them from the original drive... You will still need to delete them yourself after they are copied over and empty the trash....
However....
When you saved these projects in Logic (Pro X?) did you save them using the include audio files option?
If not, then when you move the audio files used in these projects... Logic will not know where they are to reload them........ and that will cause you issues.
So.. if you didn't...

Graphic, sound and video files are copied into the Keynote file, but make sure Keynote > Preferences - include sound and movies check box is ticked.
If you have added additional fonts they will need be changed to reflect what is on the destination machine.
If the other machine has a different Keynote version, ensure the same transitions and effects are available.

You'll have to either call AppleCare...they'll have a record, or go back to the Genius bar where your phone was replaced.
