Help! I need a Lightroom version that both supports a Canon 1DX and Windows XP. Hurry!

I currently use Lightroom 2.7 on my desktop and 2.6 on my laptop.I just got a Canon 1DX, which is supported by neither. I went to donwload a trial version of Windows 4, only to discover it won't work on an XP machine.
Hopefully, somebody has an answer in short order, as I fly out of the country in little more than 12 hours.

I am very upset to discover that Cisco will no longer be supporting new software releases beyond 5.3.1 on the hardware that is widely deployed in my environment, including the core which is a pair of 7371 at 2 datacenter locations. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Why would the WAVE-574/674 that just came out maybe 4-5 years ago not support anything beyond 5.3.1? What about version 6 coming out next year? What does this say about the future for WAAS?

The last day of hardware support is not until August 31, 2017. So am I supposed to be stuck on 5.3.1 for the next 4 years and not take advantage of any new feature sets in the upcoming major releases? It's not like the WAVE series doesn't have enough CPU/memory to handle thew newer versions. I know the 7371 comes with plenty of juice to be able to support any new features you throw at it.

The WAE 274/474/574/674/7341/7371 all reached End of Sale in August 2012. WAAS release 5.3.x is the final release which will support these now end of sale platforms. It is the other way as it is Kaspersky that supports Firefox. You cannot expect any Firefox version to just support the thousand of extensions out there.
Unlike the vast majority of extensions which if compatible with Firefox 10.0 or even 4.0 they should usually still work fine. Extensions like these by Kaspersky needs to be compiled for each new Firefox version due to binary.

Any printer that visibly supports OS X will work fine. My personal recommendation is Brother, followed rather distantly by Canon.
Recently I have grown to favor Brother printers over the others. They are inexpensive, their OS X integration is well-implemented, their consumables are reasonably priced, and their technical support is free forever. If you need to call them and explain that you have a Mac, you will immediately receive competent assistance.
The third and subsequent choices are so far down from those two they're not worth mentioning. I have grown to dislike HP printers, for all the above reasons.
Read user reviews from vendor websites - Amazon is a good place to start, since Amazon lets people write almost anything they want... right, wrong, or completely idiotic.
Read the reviews on the respective manufacturers' websites as well, but consider the likelihood of them deleting negative reviews.
Process all those user reviews employing your own common sense, and draw your own conclusions.
Consider AirPrint compatibility for future needs. Those features add very little to the price over a USB - only or wireless printer. Understand that not all wireless printers are AirPrint compatible - AirPrint must be specifically indicated. Choose among this list: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
After OS X compatibility, the next consideration should be the cost of consumables. Laser printers are cheaper than inkjets in that regard.

I created a custom security extension following the steps listed in the Readme_Security Extension Sample. It works fine if I login as the user that is specified AdminConfiguration section of the rsreportserver.config file but if I
log in as another user, I get this error: User '' does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed. I've added the user to both System Administrator
and System User roles to try to get it to work but still no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The issue is due to that user have no permission to access the report server. In report manager, Reporting Services includes predefined roles that we can assign to users and groups to provide immediate access to a report server. Each role defines a collection
of related tasks.
You can refer to the following steps to assign corresponding role to the user.
Open report manager.
Click “Folder Setting” button.
Click “New Role Assignment” icon.
Type the user name and select the corresponding role.

This is not really a Numbers question. I will provide an answer but suggest you make the question relavent for the forum where you post.
1) Open the PDF in Preview
2) select the menu item "View > Thumbnails"
3) select the page you wnt to share
4) copy (by using the key combination <command> + c OR select the menu item "Edit > Copy"
5) select the menu item "File > New From Clipboard"
6) save as a new name
7) share the new file

Used Firefox but the 4.0 won't run on my pre-intel mac so need download for version that I can run.

I have always enjoyed running Firefox on my pre-intel mac OS 10.4 but the current upgrade I was forced to download did not launch. In the Print dialog of both Acrobat and the free Reader you can select the Multiple option to print multiple pages on a single physical page.
If you want to have an actual file with such pages then you'll need to use Acrobat for that. You could use the Adobe PDF printer (on a Windows machine, at least) to generate a new PDF with multiple pages from the old one on each page.

The following procedure will test if your notebook can start from a bootable disc in the CD/DVD drive - the advantage of trying this is that it will rule out any possible Windows driver error as the CD/DVD drive is under the control of the Bios when starting the notebook. So if you find that the notebook will not boot from the CD or DVD, then it's almost certainly a Hardware fault in the optical drive itself and it will need to be replaced.
Using another PC to create a Windows 7 Rescue CD and DVD. Download the relevant ISO from the link below.
Windows 7 32bit
Windows 7 64bit
You need use an application such as ImgBurn to correctly burn the ISO to a CD and then also burn it to a DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. Once created, insert the CD and then restart the notebook and see if it boots from this disc - if it does, let the first screen come up ( this will show repair options etc ) then just remove the CD, insert the DVD and restart the notebook again to see if it will also boot from this disc. If the notebook will not boot from the CD, it may just load straight into Windows, in which case, just remove the CD, insert the DVD and restart to see if it will boot from this disc.

Server 2008 R2 with WSUS need to specify location for Feature install for Server 2012 and Windows 8

Having a problem where we need to add .net 3.5, amongst other things, in server 2012 and windows 8.1. We're using WSUS on server 2008 R2, so when I go to add roles or features, I'm not able to as it tries to use Windows Update but it's set to use WSUS.
I'm aware in server 2012 gpo's that you enable the policy 'specify settings for optional component installation and component repair' in Administrative Templates>System, however that setting is not available in Server 2008 R2.
I've downloaded the templates from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36991 but the setting is still not there.
Any suggestions on how to do this/allow feature install with Server 2008 R2?

To upgrade the Administrative Templates, please run the downloaded msi file, then copy the needed admx files and adml files to the PolicyDefinitions folder.

Version 22 file input box missing, Mac AND Windows.

Since upgrading to version 22 of Firefox in Mac AND Windows the text entry box for selecting files to upload has disappeared, and Firefox no longer shows the full path of the uploaded file...this is within Zencart, and again this happens in both the Mac and Windows versions of Firefox22.
