Help: I need join files .fla

Hi!
We are a group of beginners flash developers, and we are making a first game, but we are working in a part each one. So we need to know how we can join the differents files .fla that we are making in only one file .fla ¿is it possible? Please if somebody can help us we are very grateful. And if it is possible as soon as you can, better!

I don't know of an automated way to do this but you could simply select all the layers from each file in turn and copy (ctrl-alt-C) and paste (ctrl-alt-V) them into a new file. To be safe it would probably be a good idea to create a new scene for each pasted timeline. Then you'd just have to copy all your exported movie clips if any of them don't appear on the timeline (highlight them in the library then ctrl-C to copy) from each file into the new one (click in the library, ctrl-V to paste), and that should be everything.

Help! needed original file cannot be found

I move the whole iTunes files to a new computer. I can see all the songs. I purchase a new songs and connect my ipod mini to add to my ipod. I am getting "song could not be used because original file cannot be found" error message. What is wrong?

Alex,
Are these the newly purchased songs, or songs you moved to a new computer? Do they have ! next to them? Double click on one as if to play it in iTunes, if that ! comes up and a dialogue window to tell you that iTunes cannot locate the file, you will get the option to search for it.
If you do that and iTunes still cannot locate it, it's my guess that something went amiss when you moved them to your new computer.
You said you "moved the iTunes files", but did that include your iTunes music folder?
And Alex, it's always best when posting to include details of your computer system.

URGENT HELP/ADVICE/INSIGHT NEEDED RECOVERING FILES!

Hi, all, I hope someone out there can help me understand what I have done and how to fix it! I have posted this under Tiger, but it is probably a hardware question. I have a G4 Quicksilver which I upgraded with 2 hard drives, master/slave set up. I recently had to reinstall the OS (Panther with upgrade Tiger disc) which went smoothly. I cloned the master drive to the slave drive with CCC but did not want to copy it back identically because I was having some problems with Adobe Updater - I decided to uninstall basic 3rd party software and reinstall fresh. In the process, I forgot that Adobe CS2's application Bridge stores documents in a subfolder in User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge/Collections - so if you uninstall, it apparently eliminates those files. I understand that when you put files in the trash, you can recover if you haven't overwritten files. But what about the Adobe uninstaller? Does it eliminate files in a similar way - just erase? I have also posted to Adobe but have not gotten a response that has helped. Also is there a file recovery software that I can use that is a trial or not very expensive? I need these files for work (reconstruction would be a pain) but have put some money into my computers recently and don't have much of a margin. Thanks! oh JUST TO CLARIFY: The files were on the slave drive and I have not used it except to copy files back to the master.

Thank you - I'll give it a try. I've been making some pretty basic mistakes in backing up, reinstalling recently - I guess too many computers, too many different OS's, etc and being under pressure. I just don't want to make another mistake - so far they have all been correctible. I did not know with Adobe's concern for pirating software if their uninstall app does more than a simple erase - So I guess I would download the app to the master hard drive and recover from there?

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.

As I know, Microsoft does not provide any kind of inbuilt tool or free software to only view OST file, even without the connectivity with exchange server (Offline).
Try SysTools OST Viewer freeware which helps you to view all OST file save at your system in an easy way, whether you want to see the attachments or other items of OST file.
Note: This is a free inbuilt utility, but try it on your own risk as I am not much aware about it and its working. But this tool sounds good according to your requirement and hopefully it would give you 100% satisfaction.

Need help in loading flat file data, which has \r at the end of a string.
I have a flat file with three columns. In the data, at the end of second column it has \r. So because of this the control is going to the beginning of next line. And the rest of the line is loading into the next line.
Can someone pls help me to remove escape character \r from the data?

Have you looked into the sed linux command? here are some details:
When working with txt files or with the shell in general it is sometimes necessary to replace certain chars in existing files. In that cases sed can come in handy:
1 sed -i 's/foo/bar/g' FILENAME
The -i option makes sure that the changes are saved in the new file – in case you are not sure that sed will work as you expect it you should use it without the option but provide an output filename. The s is for search, the foo is the pattern you are searching the file for, bar is the replacement string and the g flag makes sure that all hits on each line are replaced, not just the first one.
If you have to replace special characters like a dot or a comma, they have to be entered with a backslash to make clear that you mean the chars, not some control command:
1 sed -i 's/./,/g' *txt
Sed should be available on every standard installation of any distribution. At lesat on Fedora it is even required by core system parts like udev.

It has 100's of "****" cannot resolve symbol.
u might have 100,s of it but only few classes will have dependencies
try out different combination still if it has so many errors
than
little bit of intelligence is needed
1)sort out the classes in different packages which are having high dependencies
2) find out the class which has most dependices
3) try all the ways to compile it first (comment the lines which has the reference to the uncompile class.
4) than compile the other class
i heard about the jar files having only class files
when we make a jar file which are having the class files of our source we intrelligently write a script file to select the order to compile the source files
try to find is there any jar ( containing the class files) available in the same site

HELP! Need to restore corrupt file/recover deleted file from LIGHTROOM Catalog

Hi,
I recently edited a wedding I finished and sent to her via WeTransfer. It showed that she opened the file, so I deleted it off of my computer. A few days later she said she couldn't open the file because it was corrupt (at this point I couldn't resend because I had deleted it as stated).
She sent it back to me to see if I could try opening -- but every time I try to open in Lightroom it reads:
Unexpected Error Opening Catalog
The Catalog could not be opened due to an unexpected error.
Can ANYONE help me recover this file?? I've also tried to run a Data Recovery software to retrieve it from the trash, but it won't recognize .lrcat files (it brought up all of the .jpegs, photoshop, .tiff files etc -- but no lightroom catalogs.
I REALLY really really don't want to have to re-edit 1000 photos again.

Some help needed getting file path

I had some help earlier attaching a file to mail via a dialog. That worked great.
Now I am trying to get a particular file to attach.
The following works but if i try to dynamically define the path ie comment out line 1 and bring into the script lines 2 and 3 it only adds the folder (line one). Any ideas?

Your problem is in the line:

where the_path is an alias and attach_file is a string representing the file name.
When you use the concatenate operator ( & ) with two different object classes (in this case an alias and a string), you get a list as the result, so after this line runs the_files equates to a list containing two items:
<pre class=command>{alias "Alberti work:WSC projects:WSC Blue Haven 440b:Construction:Progress Certificates:", "440b_progress certificate_8.pdf"}</pre>
There's no way that Mail.app can translate that into something that can be attached to an email message.
Instead, what you want to do is NOT define the_path as an alias, leave it as a string. Now the above line would result in one long string of the form:
<pre class=command>"Alberti work:WSC projects:WSC Blue Haven 440b:Construction:Progress Certificates:440b_progress certificate_8.pdf"</pre>
which can easily be coerced to an alias suitable for Mail.app:
