Help! I need settings I can't find/understand

I'm trying to import and edit a TV commercial -I want to export with the following settings:
Compression: H.264
Frame Rate: 29.97
Key Frame Rate: 24
Encoding Mode: multi-pass
Dimensions: 1920x1080
-how do I set these up in a project? I can't seem to find these settings. Thank you

not sure if this applys to you but, i had same, stuck in recovery mode trying to update firmware for zen touch.

First thing to do is make sure you have Windows Media Player 0 installed, and you have Service Pack or 2 for Windows XP.
Download the following 3 hotfixes:

Once that is downloaded and installed open up Device Manager and find the player. Update the drivers for it and choose the option to scan via Windows Update (not sure the exact wording).
Once that is done, delete all your USB Controllers listed in Device Manager and restart your computer. Reconnect the player when its finished readding the devices you deleted. Run the firmware update program again and see if it works this time...

I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. Hi,
In order to recover the tags/albums, etc, you need to have the catalog db. Since currently you only have images, the organization done in the older catalog is probably lost.
Which version of PSE you have and is there any chance, that you have access to catalog location (default is : %programdata%\adobe\elements organizer\catalogs on Windows and ~/library/app support/adobe/organizer/catalogs on MAC) ?

Make sure you are using iOS 5 or higher (required for iCloud). Also, if this is a phone from your employer or you have added your employer's exchange email account to your phone, they may have pushed a security profile to your phone removing iCloud. (Check Settings>General to see if there is a setting called Profile near the bottom.) You would need to contact your emplyer's IT department to confirm this.

iLife11 is SnowLeo 10.6.x (and therfore Intel only). Version 09 would be the last ppc 10.5.x compatible.
I for sure remember to have loaded the full ilife 06 suite on Leopard back then , it ran fine.
So you could look for any version from ilife 06 to ilife 09 to be on a safe side, they work all on Intel and PPC and also all on 10.5.x .
Of course the newer the version, the more features ( but the more power is needed ).

Hi, I have been searching a lot for an answer to this issue. Elements keeps crashing after about five minuets and giving me "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" "Runtime Error!" "R6025 - pure virtual function call". I am running Premiere Elements 9.0 on windows 8.1 and I am trying to
rebuild the "mediadatabase.db3" file, but cannot find it. I made my hidden folders visible, and followed the pathway, but I only get this. I have searched and searched but I can't find anything about windows 8.1. Only 7 and vista. Thanks in advance!

Look for a line that resembles the following in the
actionscript of the Flash fla files... It is likely to be in the
first frame's code, but may not be.

in your file, it's a variable so it could be anything, and the file
names will be whatever your xml files are.
If you can post that line of code from each of the fla files,

The new firefox changed my settings, i can only find my administrative account on my laptop, but i'm not logged in as the administrator.

I am trying to attach files from my user account on my laptop, but when I try to attach them inside a Firefox browser, it only allows me to look at the administrator account and the documents on there. I am not logged into my administrator account, because I obviously only use that for the administrative things on my computer. I'm not sure what to do to change this, I've looked through all of the settings in my new version of Firefox (3.6.11) and I can't find anywhere to change those settings. HELP ME, PLEASE!?

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.<br />
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".<br />
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.

HELP!!! Aperture can't find original files!

Help!!! I imported a 64 Gig SD Card into Aperture for an engagement shoot. It imported the files, about 2,000 CR2 files. I had to clear the SD card to do another shoot. When I returned to Aperture, it shows a thumbnail of the file, but yellow exclamation point saying ORIGINAL IMAGE NOT FOUND!!! I'm guessing Aperture tried saving original files to the SD card and NOT my hard drive. When I was clearing the card, highlighted the files and put them in the trash on my IMAC. Then I emptied the trash. I also re-formatted the card on my Canon. So... I have downloaded Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery, Data Rescue 3, and ISkysoft Data Recovery to see if they will either recover files I emptied from my trash, OR recover the files on the SD card. I can't find the files! To this point, this my best work as a photographer. I'm mortified! If someone will help me I will be indebted to you forever. Thank you!

If you really deleted the files, there is little hope, but data recovery.
If you have you not restarted your mac, since you imported the images, don't do it., before checking the caches. Sometimes Aperture will write to the $TMPDIR, if the drive it trying to write to gets offline during import.
Check these system folders, if youcan find any cr2 files:
Quit Aperture.
Open a Terminal window and enter the following two line:
open $TMPDIR
This will open a Finder window with cryptically named folders. Dive into them and look for Aperture's Media cache folder. Are there any image files in the folder "com.apple.Aperture"?
Sometimes Aperture will write to that directory, if it cannot write to the Aperture library.
Also check the following location:
open /tmp
Can you find any images in the these two caches?

Are you using Aperture 3.5.1?
This version will tell you, where the missing originals should be, when you select the thumbnails and use the command "File > Show in Finder". When I try this, I get a panel showing the path to the missing original. Does that really point to a file on your SD card?
What are your Import settings in Aperture? What is set in the "Store files" option? "In the Aperture library " or something else?

I can be more precise if I know which version of the OS you have.
A long post covering several options.
The basic " I have lost iChat from my Applicatiosn Folder and want to have it again" is covered by this post.
You don't have to have an ID or Screen Name to use in iChat at this time. (you will need one to use the app)
The OS also tends to have names for the major upgrades.
OS X 10.4 is known as Leopard.
OS X 10.3 is known as Tiger.
Following on from Leopard was Snow Leopard or OS X 10.5
These versions came on DVDs to install or in some cases reinstall the OS on to the Hard Drive (or another backup hard drive).
Here is a pic of part of my Desktop with a DVD inserted and the window for it opened to reveal the Optional Installs.mpkg
The top three items around the green text indicate it cannot be installed on this Hard Drive/Computer.
The red arrows indicate the Disk on the Desktop and the window.
The Blue is the item you are looking for. it is a special item called Package and double clicking it will open the Installer app.
If you use the Apple icon menu and then the About this Mac item in there you will see the currect OS level you have installed.
(I screen Shared to my MacBook Pro that is running Snow Leopard (OS X10.6.x) to take this shot)
If this space OS X 10.7 (or a sub-number after that) then it is running Lion.
This does not use a Disk to Reinstall but the Recovery process.
Same for later versions (Mountain Lion/OS X 10.8.x and now Mavericks/OS X 10.9)
Using the Recovery Process will give the latest update version of that OS.
That is to say Mountain Lion for instance gets as far as OS X 10.8.6 before Mavericks came out.
With the disk method above you get stuck at the disk level and may have Updated since then.
Like the pic with OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). You disk may only be at OS X 10.6 base level
Both the OS and the iChat versions have been updated since then.
The Optional Installs package will give you iChat at version 5.0 in this case.
However as it will have been updated along with the OS it will not work with the OS at 10.6.8 unless you run the COMBO version of the Update to update iChat to "Match" the OS level.
At OS 10.6.8 then iChat 5 has got to version 5.0.3

I'm still running on Leopard but now HAVE to update my OS because Leopard isn't supported by anything. To get Lion or Mountain Lion I have to first have Snow Leopard, but I can't find it anywhere! How do I get it?!

First check that your machine can accept Snow Leopard ...
