HELP! I need to export an XML from FCPX to Premiere or FCP7

I have used Xto7 to convert the XML and it imports into PP but I cannot see the SEQ? it only seems to import a folder containg all the footage / elements but no SEQ ?
Any ideas? this used to work on previous versions of FCPX but since the large update of 10.11 I cant seem to see any SEQ?

How to export table xml from ID CS4

Hi,
Could any one clarify my below doubts.
I have an xml file for Table. The root tag <informaltable> of the table have the attributes id="xx" and float="0". This xml file is imported into the Indesign document without any problem. But when I export the xml from Indesign, these attributes were not exported. Only the XML tag is exported.
Could anyone tell how to export this table root tag with its attributes.

Apology for bu** in, but my general practice (or for that matter mentioned scripting manual) is that

name of the rule and matches theRuleName,but both of them seems to be working fine here.
Defining correctly in ruleset does the trick
var myRuleSet = new Array (new ProcessProduct);
Does it not matter for having the same name or I am missing something.

Exporting Chapter Markers from FCPX

In FCP7 I can export my master file with it's chapter markers to a new movie file ready for DVDStudioPro.
How do you export chapter markers from FCPX?
Also, FCP7 allows you to export without making a self contained movie file that DVDStudioPro can use to burn the DVD.
Is it possible to export from FCPX without making a self contained movie file?
If so, how?

If you're going to DVD Studio Pro, it will need to transcode to mpeg-2 at some point. If you exported a referenced QT movie from FCP7 previously, then DVD Studio Pro was doing the transcoding for you.
In FCPX, I suggest exporting using Compressor 4. Apply the DVD preset (mpeg2 video and dolby digital audio) and you can also apply chapter markers within Compressor.
Import the 2 resulting files into DVD Studio Pro and no further transcoding (other than menus) will need to be performed when you burn the disc.

I am just moving from FCPx to Premiere Pro

I am just moving from FCPx to Premiere Pro, and one of the things I'll miss with FCPx is all the free wipe's, templates, generators that were availible throught places like FCP.co Forum, is there any kind of free stuff available like this but for Premiere?

I did like working in Premiere Pro for one of my school projects but the rendering time and exporting time for it made me stick with FCPX. It was a 45 second fictional commercial and it took over night to finish.
I'm sure I did something wrong or just not used to working in it. I did do some research about Rendering and from what I've read, people say it's unnecescary to render but could be just preference.

Export/Import xml from dynamic pdf form using java

I have been searching for the last 2-3 days on the internet for this. Some posts do talk about it, but none have provided the answer I was looking for. Hopefully this is the correct forum to post the question in.
I am working on a desktop swing application that works on extracting and changing data in a XFA form, I would like to export the form's content modify it and import it back using java. This is so easy with the Adobe Reader, where it nicley exports the form content as an XML document, you can change it manually and the import the data back. I am searching for a way of doing this in java. I found XPAAJ.jar mentioned in some forums, that may make this easy. I havent been able to use it, since I cant find it anywhere.

This says that XPAAJ is free as long as I use it on forms developed using livecycle. I dont own livecycle, but the forms that I am working has been built using livecycle. So my questions are:

3. Where can I download XPAAJ from?
4. If XPAAj is no longer available, is there any other free library that does this?

Hi Sethu;
First, its important to know that xpaaj never was a supported piece of software. It was supplied "as is" with no support from Adobe. It has been pulled and is no longer available from the Adobe web site. Mike's blog is from 2006, so its really old information.

While the xpaaj library will import and export data to/from a form on the client, Adobe now recommends using the LiveCycle ES Forms server.
2. Is XPAAJ free to use and distribute as long as it works on pdf forms developed by livecycle?
The license stated that you need to own one of Adobe's server side products (not LiveCycle Designer, but one of the server side LiveCycle products).
3. Where can I download XPAAJ from?
XPAAJ was pulled by Adobe. They found a few bugs and since it was unsupported software they just pulled it from the web site.
4. If XPAAj is no longer available, is there any other free library that does this?
Not from Adobe. Adobe recommends using the LiveCycle ES Forms software for merging data and forms.

As far as I know there Adobe doesn't have a client side library available for this (merging dynamic XDP based forms with data).

Need to Export All Images from Aperture to Photoshop. Can anyone help?

I'm new to Mac. Just got my iMac in January. I wanted to buy the Mac version of Photoshop Elements 8, but the Apple salesperson convinced me that Aperture 2 would be much easier. After three months, I've discovered that Aperture is just not for me. I just purchased and installed Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac today. I would like to move all of my images from Aperture to Photoshop and delete Aperture from my computer. I cannot figure out how to do this. Whenever I try to export, the Aperture "library" appears as a big block that won't open or prompt for subfolders. Please help!

The Version is at first a copy of the Master, but as soon as you make any changes it holds those changes. So you have to decide whether you want to export the Masters, the Versions, or both (which you'll have to do separately, afaik). Aperture gives you the choice. Click "Photos" in the Library tab of the Inspector, then select all, then "File>>Export". If you want to maintain your groupings (e.g.: Projects), you will probably have to select the images in each group and export them as a unique set.
Note that Aperture is a very powerful image database (pros refer to this as "Digital Asset Management") in addition to (w. v. 3) being a very powerful digital photograph development lab. Photoshop Elements does none of the former, and a very different kind of job than the latter.

I had my iPhone 4 synced to a Macbook and was using iTunes and iPhoto for my media. Well the hard drive in my Macbook crashed and now all of my Photos and Music are only on my iPhone. How can i extract the iPhoto library/albums from the phone. My secondary concern is retrieving the Music. the music was imported to my original iTunes via CD's and USB drives but apperantly i can only transfer music that was purchased via iTunes store? I really dont want to roll the dice my buying a new Macbook just to hope that this will be the answer.

One of the reasons why maintaining a backup of the important data on your computer is important.
There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for transferring such data in the opposite direction - music that was not purchased from the iTunes store and for photos that were transferred from your computer.
Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced. When transferring these photos in the opposite direction, the original resolution of these photos will be lost.

XDK Export in XML from multiple tables

Hello everybody,
I have to export data from an Oracle database to a XML file and then generate the Java classes.

I used XSU successfully with one table. My problem is to retrieve data not from a unique table but from multiple tables linked by relations.
I wanted to do this using XSU to retrieve data from the database and create the corresponding XML schema.
That seems to be possible but I need help for database relations.
Can someone help me to explain if it is possible to export from multiple tables (and if yes how)?

Having my XML schema then I will have to generate Java objects. How is it possible with the XML Class Generator for Java?
Does anybody have experience and samples?

Export to XML from InDesign

Hi,
We are given an indesign file earlier, and recently there are many updated on it and also we were said to make the same changes in the XML file even, i was given a dtd along with it.
I Wanted to know if the file in indesign is completely updated, and i say export it in XML format, will the new data be tagged and also can i add the DTD for validation.

The answer is yes. The degree of post-export clean-up will vary with how well you adhered to using paragraph styles judiciously and accurately enough to truly identify each paragraph type.
I have only used XML coming into ID. Never for exporting. One project I am working on is a directory. And I didn't use paragraph styles judiciously in how I would likely receive an XML file. So I just went through the ID document and created/applied some more styles to reflect how I would have received this as an XML file. For instance, the same style was applied to all the address lines, phone numbers and email addresses. So I created a few more styles and did a find & replace to apply those styles.
Next, I altered each paragraph style. In the paragraph Style options, the last entry is for Tagging. Really only meant for HTML and ePub export and does not physically apply XML tags. I simply used the paragraph style names for the Tagging.
Then I exported the publication as an HTML file (unchecking the use of CSS). Depending upon how well you assigned paragraph styles to your content, the HTML file produced needs editing.
For instance, beginning at the first line, you need to delete the entire content down through the end of the opening Body tag. Same at the bottom of the file from the end up to the closing body tag.
And you need to add as the first line:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
You will also need to create an Opening and closing tag that wraps the entire publication. Because of my publication structure, which is a 180 page contact book, the paragraph style for the beginning of each entry was named PrimaryContact. So right after the <?xml version... line above, I added the tag <Contacts> and at the very bottom of the file, the closing tag </Contacts>
Then I needed to add an opening and closing tag for each PrimaryContact. Now, the amount of information varies for each contact. But using a decent text editor, it was easy enough to do a search and replace to "wrap" each PrimaryContact entry with the tags <Contact> and </Contact>
This reply took longer to write than the actual work. It could probably be scripted, but like I said, I have not exported XML out of ID (other than to see what ID produces). And I started a new publication, imported my directory's paragraph styles, brought in this new XML with mapping tags to styles and everything laid out like the original.
Without actually seeing the publication, all I could do was the above. So while the particulars of your needs are different, the principles/procedures apply.

Need to export entire folder from Apple Mail

I need to take an entire folder of saved emails and export it so that it and all it's contents and sub-folders are able to be read by someone using a Windows computer.
Can this be done?
THIS IS A TIME SENSITIVE QUESTION! I need to get this information to my county prosecutor's office ASAP so I'm hoping someone has an answer for me. She needs to be able to read all the emails and replies that I've saved over the last year.
I don't want to send her a copied batch of emails one at a time. I know I can highlight all email in a mailbox and send as "one" where she can read from the bottom up in order it was sent, but I would much rather keep the structure I have saved so she can read it on her windows computer as I have it on my iMac. Or at least similarly.

Help! Need to generate a color from these settings

I have a white layer with it's blending mode set to multiply, I need to add these settings to create a tint to that layer. I have no idea how to do so using the info I was given. If anyone has any insight it would be of HUGE help...
Also if you are able to do this, can you explain it please. I have many more colors to generate.

A FIFO buffer will help in this, but more importantly, you need
a driver for the card that supports a kernel level buffer that
can hold the points not stored on the card and access them at
interrupt time. Without this, you are trying to get the OS
to do something every 1ms, and that is too much to ask. There
will be times when it is busy and ignores you for 10ms or more.
If you are using NI-DAQ, there are icons for analog output,
or AO. There are single point AO functions for setting up
a DC voltage, and there are buffered AO routines so that you
can send the entire signal and set it to repeat.
In parallel, you can configure an analog input or AI task
that acquires and does whatever to the signal.
Better yet, you should be able to browse through the Solution
Wizard and find an example that does this or something close
right out of the box.
